After trying it out for several days/weeks I came to realize it is actually perfect for WHY I bought it.This is not a workout, the resistance is, eh, it makes a bit of noise, not loud, and it isn’t very stable even with the mat. The mat certainly keeps the bike from sliding but nothing keeps the mat from sliding (if that makes any sense, lol). Mine is place on my hard wood floor. Maybe it would be better with a rug underneath??I sit for long hours for work and wanted something to keep my legs moving. This bike does exactly that! For the price it is amazing, it is compact, easy to use, light weight, keeps track of time, calories etc (not sure how accurate it is) but good little product. I am happy with it.
Same. My trainer wanted me to use that leg press where you put the plates on yourself and I sat down and my feet were so far away from the platform. He was just like "oh okay then, this won't work."
Don't be shy just work it! Don't worry about what any one else is doing. Stay focused and make sure your form is on point! Confidence will come with time. Go lighter and master an exercise with correct form before you start adding weight.
I have this issue too! But there are ways to go around it. Like going early in the morning or when it’s usually not crowded is possible, or just coming to terms with the fact that it doesn’t matter who looks cause you’re just trying to better yourself! There may be a time where you might just have to stop giving a crap about that kinda stuff lol

These are the dumbest exercises I’ve ever seen. You’re glutes extend the hips. Just do a squat or leg press or hip extension and you’ve done all you can do to grow them.

perhaps your back wouldn't hurt if you didn't overextend it. it's totally OK to squeeze the glutes only, but it's not ok to push your back inwards at the same time (it's a hip movement, not a back movement)
I love the SM and use it for almost every leg workout. The options are limitless. Also get those ankle straps, she is so right works amazingly on the glutes

1:35 - Smith machine kicks although they seem awesome would be hard to do unless you go to the gym with a workout partner which i never do and that movement looks like it goes against how the body is meant to move and could cause serious i jury to lower back. But other than that it is super creative and i want to try it as soon as I'm at the gym with one of my dudes

The comments about being too shy to perform some of these exercises in the gym boggles my mind. Train insane or remain the same. If someone is watching you they aren’t working hard enough. Its all about my specific task when I’m in the gym & in my mind I am the only one there.
I always thought to get the workout in your glutes with hip thrusts, you needed to have your knees above your ankles otherwise your working either your quads or hammies. I want to do this smith machine variation for hip thrusts, but is it targeting your glutes with your feet so far back and close to eachother and butt with knees far over toes? I want to try just wondering if it targets your glutes as well as a traditional thrust.

They all look awkward and if not done correctly- may do more harm than good. What happened with basic exercises which actually always work if you progressively overload? Just saying ;)

When doing the last exercise (7. Standing abduction (cable machine)) I feel much more tension in my resting leg than in the working leg.. Especially when the working leg is on my weak side, then it feels like the resting leg "takes over". Any tips on how to alternate the exercise? :)
Really keep your hips aligned, and engage your core! Lower the weight, and put your hand on your hip - it really helps with mind/muscle connection! Hope this helps!

In years to come, all of you women who focused on training your glutes more often than necessary, will regret it profoundly. When you get older and stop weight training, your glutes are going to be massive, floppy, full of dimples and cellulite. Hence; "Glute reduction." Stick to a petite tight plum shape butt. Good luck!
My local gym is always crowded... and I really don’t have the courage to work out by myself ... so I only go to the body pump class to get overall body strength work out. And I would do 30min cardio as well . Are these exercise enough to have a nice body ? ;/

Hey guys! Wondering if anyone can answer this. I have been working out for a while but only with free weights at home since I was nervous about gyms. I recently joined a gym for the first time and tried the frog leg curl Hanna recommended here. I was feeling it in the right places and I really liked it! Right before my last set, a guy motioned for me to go to him and asked me who told me to do the exercise like that. I wanted him to leave me alone so I said I was just trying out something new. He said I would hurt me knees a lot. He kept saying he had never seen anyone doing the leg curl like that in all his years being a trainer. I was just standing there as he said all these things about me doing the exercise incorrectly for like 5 minutes straight. As someone new to the gym this really intimidated me and I left the gym right after. I was finally gaining confidence and now I am scared of doing anything unconventional. Should I be worried about this exercise? What should I have responded with? I wish I would have had more knowledge about the exercise so I could explain myself. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Hanna, do you recommend these movements as opposed to more comprehensive movements such as dead lifts or full squats or reverse lunges for example ...? I mean ... Comprehensive movements are more efficient and activate more muscle portions of your body not to mention to cut down on gym time... Just wanted to know your thoughts .
The first exercise is quad dominant and the third one is quad dominant.... then I stopped watching. I feel sorry women who get their advice and help from channels like this. There’s so much good info out there.

I hv dne the reverse frog jump I could not walk for 7 days . I was an amateur at tht tym. Hvnt dne nythng with weights aftr tht . . I am an indian so I couldnt use the indian toilet cuz u hv to bend ur legs. I used to cry while takn a dump. Lol

Today was my second day putting weights on the Smith Machine; only 10 lbs, but my form was great and I could do it. YAY ME!!!

Empty gyms are a boon in disguise. No waiting, no chatter, you are not much conscious about who's watching you - makes it like you personal home gym.

0:50 - Most gyms do not have the machine that you are using for the glute pushdowns .. Seems like it is a killer movement though...
What about people who say that smith machine squats are terrible for you? And why not just use a barbell? Seems better on the back.

Shes been working out along time but her glutes are still somewhat flat I guess genes play a factor no maters how much you workout.
Does a hip abduction help you grow your glutes and hips or does it abduct them and make them disappear
