  • The episode where both sides expressed their views on the Union flag being fown on designated days in line with the UK. Showed how strongly Loyalists felt about the issue and how uncompromising they are. Also exposed how uneducated loyalists are. The episode before Jamie Bryson fell in popularity and ended up in a jail cell.

It is important to acknowledge that there are several leading members of loyalist paramilitaries in the audience.
Some of whom were captured on camera in 2002 attacking the Nationalist Short Strand area of east Belfast with fireworks, petrol bombs and eventually pipe bombs.
These same people were filmed standing next to PSNI members as these attacks were carried out.
In fact, when the Fire Brigade arrived to put out the burning houses, they can be seen slashing the hoses.
They even blocked an ambulance from getting into the area for a young woman who was badly burned in the attacks.
Not just these paramilitaries, but uniformed officers were witnessed participating in these heinous acts.
    Its all on camera.
The bigoted discriminatory attitude loyalism and unionism displays towards the indigenous people of Ireland is on full display here.
Gerry attempted to explain things from a Nationalist/Republican pov but didn't quite get the point across. Its clear to see that it doesn't even occur to these people that there even IS a pov that is different from theirs.
He asked "do u understand that Nationalists and Republicans see the UDR and RUC much the same way u view the IRA?"
    What was the response?
Shouts of anger that he should even suggest such a thing then barracked and abused that he wasn't answering the question.
So when he goes on to say that "when u walk around loyalists areas u see a lot of loyalist regalia, im fine with that, its what that community wants...and the park in Newry was named after somebody who to Republicans is a hero.."
More shouts and abuse with Stephen piping in "It's a very specific question..are you tuned in to the sensitivities of Northern Ireland?..." ( which actually means loyalists )
Although what Gerry was attempting to explain wasn't put in the most diplomatic of ways, he was essentially trying to put it across that there are people who do not share their point of view.
In fact its the direct opposite.
And what was he met with?
Abuse from the audience and Nolan swiping aside the point Gerry was making.
This is all very telling behaviour as anyone with a modicum of wit can see the bigotry on display.
One of the difficulties u find when conversing with a bigot is that when u say something like, 'I see your point of view' or I understand why u think this way' its not seen as a form of reconciliation, or attempt at reaching a genuine understanding- he or she will always automatically think OF COURSE you see it my way, its what u should have been doing all along!
I could point to many different examples.
The flag issue at Belfast city hall is a perfect one.
Nationalists and Republicans are willing to have either both flags or none, seeing as this is a contested space therefore some compromise is in order.
Loyalists will immediately say no to this because they scream at u that their flag should be the ONLY flag that flies there and anywhere in the North for that matter and no one else's, particularly the Irish Tri-Colour because "that's a foreign flag!"
It doesn't even occur to their bigoted mindset that we think the very same thing about the Union flag..it is a foreign flag but we are willing to SHARE the space.
No, nay never is the usual reply.
But to the point about naming a park after Raymond McCreesh.
If we listen to the exchanges between Gerry, a man in the audience and Nolan about naming a park after Raymond McCreesh we see what is essentially at the heart of the problem in the North of Ireland.
Again, it doesn't even enter into the loyalist mind that to the Irish, names like Cromwell, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth, Churchill etc represent 800 years of oppression and murder yet all over the statelet of NI we have bridges, roads, shopping centres, housing estates, blocks of flats, train stations, bus stations, even schools! and yes parks named after these vile terrorists and murderers ad nauseam.
So when we hear the screams of indignation about naming parks after 'terrorists', not one thought is given by these bigots to the fact that for centuries we have had to endure the daily insult, to look at statues of British soldiers in nearly every town and city in the north, soldiers who have for centuries murdered hundreds of thousands of Irish citizens in the name of King and Queen and Country.
And why do they scream so loudly?
Because to draw any parallels or equivocations is simply out of the question, preposterous even, or dare I say, almost blasphemous!
Why on earth would anyone think that the Queen, her forces and her loyal subjects would or could ever do anything remotely wrong?
To even suggest this is met with the usual self absorbed shouts of dismay and anger.
What seems to be impossible for the bigot to grasp is the idea that there are people in this world who see things differently than they do and to sit there pontificating about parks being named after hunger strikers who are whether they like it or not seen as heroes to so many people is a perfect example of what bigotry is all about.
And therein lies the problem we've been dealing with for way too long.
Fucking impossible people to deal with.

Very well written, and this is how I know there will be a United Ireland in the end. The Nationalist community reached out with an olive branch to the Unionists and they batted it away like it was nothing.
Every shitty tweet/facebook comment, every ignorant remark, every poisonous Bonfire with effigies of Nationalist and Republican political figures, religious statues, KAT banners and tricolours every bit of that and more will weigh on the minds of Catholics at the ballot box in a U.I. referendum. These people don't get it.
The DUP made political capital of harnessing the fleg protests to trick Loyalists into supporting them. The Loyalists blindly followed the them down a cul de sack when they supported BREXIT. Same mistake 'Big house Unionism' made during the troubles.
What the hell were the Loyalists and Unionists thinking, that a now defunded British Military (a shadow of its cold war era self) were going to close the N.I. border.... all it did was bring them into line economically with the rest of Ireland. Like a spiders web, the more they struggle, the more they become entangled in the web.

LOL. You really don't know your history at all, do you? Another typical unionist delusional version of history. None of the Irish provinces existed as the provinces we know today way back then and Hibernia (aka Eireaan>Ireland) was entirely Gaelic. It was the Celtic raids from Hibernia into Caledonia (aka Scotland) and Northern Albion aka England that populated those regions at that time. This is why the Romans never made it to Ireland since Irish Celtic tribes were too busy warring against each other for control over Scotland and parts of England, which also included Cornwall. This is also what led St. Patrick to bring Christianity to Ireland (aka Celts) since by then the Roman Empire had mostly converted to Christianity and Patrick emerged from that. So, in essence, Patrick was the only Roman to set set foot on Irish soil. The Celts in other European regions had already converted, eg. Gaul (aka France) and the Gallic French. Patrick came from Gallic Roman origins, i.e. Roman occupied France and part of Germany.

Amyhuk. I have been a researcher/writer for over 35 years, since aged 15, most of which has been on the subject of the NWO. However, when I first moved to England from Belfast in 1994, I remember an ex paratrooper giving me a hard time in a bar due to some of his friends being killed in N. Ireland. When I finally relented, I gave him an objective lesson in history, mostly English history, he was surprised that I knew so much, curious to why they never learned any of it at school. He respected me as an Irish man knowing more about British history than he or any of his fellow country men know. I also know quite a bit about American history too. Btw, The Irish were the only ones to defeat the Vikings. Brian Borru took care of them, until a retreating group of Vikings sneaked up behind him and cut his throat.

Don't talk to be about the BBC, or as I call it the ABBC (Anti-British Broadcasting Corporation) who continually dish out documentaries and programmes that are biased towards the Irish Republican cause, and depict British loyalists as thugs and troublemakers, when all they are is passionate British patriots, loyal to The Queen and the UK, and want their British traditions respected and not attacked on a daily basis. These loyal citizens that the rest of the UK are quick to diassociate with, are the same people that would spill their own blood to protect the rest of the citizens of the UK, so don't judge them harshly, as you may one day need their support to defend our island's shores from a new enemy...

UlsterDarkKnight Two men walk into an office. One is a republican and one is a unionist.
The unionist says "Jesus, this is a fine office. We'll share it 50/50."
The republican says "Fair enough. We're equals in this office."
So the unionist and republican start putting their things on their side of the office. The republican turns around and notices that the unionist is putting a sign up on the door.
The republican says "Oh, you're putting your name on the door? did you get me a sign too?"
The unionist says "What? Here you can't put your name on this door. This is my door. You're attacking my identity by asking to put your name up on this door."

The British government couldnt contain the IRA for 30+ years, so what makes you think that the Irish government (who by the way are skint and relied on the uk government for an economic bailout) can contain the likes of the UVF and the UDA
I can tell you, this it would be far from peaceful it would be the 70s and 80s all over again. and beforr ypu underestimate the loyalist paramilitaries (which is exactly what the Uk government did with the IRA), there are tens of thousands of members within the likes of thoses organisations and the OO, amd at the most there are 400-500 active dissidents, so its no contest really and in accordance with the good friday agreement i would love to know how the dissidents plan to swing the public opinion of a million plus people towards a united ireland through their campaign of violence because the provisionals (who had alot of support, which the dissidents dont) tried that and they got nowhere

Now if your talking about army / militarily that is a different story as every country in the world flies the flag in military bases / barracks. However government buildings those that don't serve the military are not supposed to fly the flag everyday.
      The UK doesn't do this
