Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR Hybrid Sorcerer Pit 115

There's something going on with the way this Axial Conduit functions. It seems to proc more frequently if you don't spam abilities, even if you have the mana regen for it. So just gotta cast a few times then run in circles, repeat. In conjuction with the new helmet crown of lucion (this helm does more dps than shako) the CL explosions do a range between 100-800M (depending on if vyrs procs with it along with other conditionals).
CL in of itself does pathetic dmg, the only dmg we are really doing is the pants procs, and glacial aspect. (the real dmg is just from the pants proccing).

You did WAY better than my attempt with CL. I tried to MAKE the CL do damage using shako, pants and ranks of CL on gloves. It just doesn't work though. The pants explosion didn't seem linked to CL ranks and like you said in comments, it's doing the damage.
I may try for the new helm to attempt a CL summon build 🤷‍♂️
CL mana drains count as spending. Could put hydra on enchant and spawn 2 sets of 5heads no problem, 3 sets if you want to lean into it with aspect. I skipped sorc S4. Not sure how viable an all summons build would be. Seems like it would be low AE damage.

Did you try the new CDR Boots? Can they be combined with shatter? Like the Fireball enchantment is helping in the fireShatter build this season

The nerf to ice armor was completely uncalled for imo. I understand flame shield, but why the one skill that was actually working as intended?

I think I can see what's going on here, the CL takes 6 mana each time, the helmet boost the CL each time it takes the mana....All in all it add's 22% 11x times to the CL so it ends up scaling right up?
Not sure why we need Blizzard in the mix at all with the 2 items? Unless there is some other thing mixing into the maths there?

because CL in of itself doesnt do dmg, its the pants, glacial does way more dmg, also the synergies with dmg to chilled/frozen is there. (Also if you spam abilities or attack fast, the pants dont seem to proc as often for some reason.)
Glacial has been the strongest dps sorc had since season 1. (aside s2 ball lightning)

perma flame shield is patched out in season 5, and in ptr. also ice armor is gutted, so survivability is much harder. Definitely trying to find something that works, thanks for watching!

well if they patch this, nothing of sorc has changed then, it's released in a worse state. survivability is down, and glacial, firebolt and FO are the builds we have to play with.
The point of ptr is to test stuff, here i am testing, and imn not posting build link because it is a ptr build

@@raidenblade9971 the ptr they gave us doesnt provide the necessary tools to properly test anything, you have to grind... in a ptr. Which is something I'm not willing to spend my time on. Might as well play the full release. Also with the new system with how gearing works, it's especially difficult to do new builds because items now need to be tempered to have additional effects which are specific to certain skills/interactions. I'd love to be able to test new stuff easily in a ptr, but alas is not the case.
