Your channel is so underrated. There have been many times in Splatoon where I have encountered skill walls, and thanks to your channel I’m able to identify mistakes and gain knowledge in improving my gameplay. The best thing about this is its all FREE!!! You definitely earned a sub from me

@@Reborn_NA Yeah! Do you have any tips for splatzones as a shooter? Im current 2200 xp and im encountering two common playstyles. The shooter who sits back painting zone and farming special and the other who is aggressive and only goes for kills. What playstyle do you think is best for this mode?

Great questions and great analysis! It really depends on the situation but I'll try and elaborate a bit.
Usually after retaking control in zones, you have 2 options:
      - Paint for special
      - Take space forward and pressure the enemy IN FRONT of the zone.
I HIGHLY recommend taking space forward if you have the space and are quick enough to do be able to do so. Moving forward does NOT necessarily mean you are trying to splat the enemy, just that you are contesting important areas of the map that the enemy wants to retake from themselves. When both teams want to hold the same area, THEN those fights will happen (and you need to make a decision on if those fights are worth taking or not).
Understanding HOW to lockout the enemy team and KO on each map is super important.
Usually you can lockout by taking enough space forward that the enemy HAS to use specials/resources off the zone to push you back. You give them that space AFTER they commit those resources and fall back to zone. At that point, your team should have a special advantage that we can use to hold the zone, win teamfights, and move forward back into the enemy side of the map. Rinse and repeat 1-2 times for a KO. Very simplified but I hope that general flow/loop makes sense.
In situations where it is unsafe to move forward, then it is important to establish good paint and build resources to try and combat the enemy's effort to retake.
There is a balance to all of this but as a short range shooter, I would try to find opportunities to move forward whenever possible. Understand those important parts of the map for both teams and focus holding those positions when you have the chance to move forward.
And if you have teammates that are already good about moving forward, sometimes you can support them (depending on your weapon) with bombs and paint from behind them while they are holding control of the enemy's side of the map.
Hope that helps and if you have other questions or need clarification please let me know!
