Looking forward to an update on the connectivity improvements compared to the Skyconnect, I'm sick of mine and the devices constantly dropping out no matter how many extra routers I've added, so I might be tempted to switch even though it looks a bit painful.

Great video. Having same problem. My current network is very unreliable. This was perfect video for me. Would like to hear more why you decided to go with z2m(i use) instead of zha. Repairing is impossible for 30 devices in my house. This was huge mistake to install them.

The basic difference between Z2M and ZHA is that ZHA implements the Zigbee standard, whilst Z2M tries to implement specific non-standard features of different devices. If all the devices I have follow the Zigbee standard, ZHA would be great, but this is not my case. Also, ZHA is much simpler, Z2M takes more work, but gives you more control. I do not mind the work, but I suspect for most people simplicity is more important.

....and this point, it's nice to have backups, what you can restore after "ups! what I just did"

you didn't read the instructions for slzb carefully - you have to turn off the power in the whole house for a few seconds to reset the "routers" - sockets etc...then you don't have to change the panid, ext.pan id...and it works. I changed it at home - I have over 60 devices - I can't imagine doing it manually. we changed the coordinator sonof dongle E to slzb-06

and of course then wait approximatelly 30 minutes for all devices to reconnect - some battery-powered ones take longer

Thanks for the tip. I did the Power off, did not mention it in the video. But I guess I did something wrong. I only have 35 devices, so I managed. The one in a socket behind the kitchen cabinet was the worst.

I had the same error migrating from sky, regardless of the power off.
