I'm in awe, mesmerised, jealous & wonderfully excited & happy for everyone including the crew who filmed this. To be privileged to step aboard such an amazing piece of aero physics is only made possible because of the joint collaboration of insane minds; that is the mind of an aero physics engineer
The pilots that take you up to jump out with a parachute fly like this too. They put the plane into a 45 degree angle upwards. Wow. It's a weird feeling
+Dheeraj S Still it is steered by the pilots. The plane starts the parabola at around 6,000 meter with nose up (Pull up) under full throttle with an angle of 47 degrees, reaching apogee at around 8,500 meters 20 to 25 seconds later, then nose down. From this moment the plane is in free fall trajectory for around 25 seconds - no weight. Then the pilots pull back to normal flight phase at around 6,000 meters again. The terminology "ZeroG" is the wrong one physicially, because gravity is still always there, everywhere in the universe. It is also called "Micro Gravity Conditions", right one should be "Zero Weight", but ZeroG sounds better. yes right. zero g is inaccurate word in this case. So the weightlessness experienced by yhe passengers during the downward trajectory is for around 25 seconds? and how many rounds of this parabola they generally do in one flight?

Hey, guys from Indonesia. Would you mind please to tell us all, who is "Captain Vincent"? And maybe it would be nice from your side to keep your discussion under one thread. This here is not messenger forum, thanks a lot.
Hello, I came to your channel because of this Captain Vincent. apparently, he is one of Indonesian professional & licensed pilots (Batik Air Company), who is also a youtuber whose contents is about aviation world. he's mentioned alot in your comments' section because of this video ruclips.net/video/kF-8PfHOudM/видео.html, where he did a zero gravity maneuver in a cessna plane with a passenger whom he invited for fun/prank. he claimed that what he did is not dangerous and it's just a very very simple zero gravity sensation there. so do you think what he did is dangerous? *sorry for my bad english*
@@lgiam2011 WHAT? Because of a parabola in a Cessna, his pilot license is on hold?? Did we get that, right?? Parabolas can be flown by a lot of aircraft, and some private pilots are doing that, too. @@Space-Affairs Captain Vincent is pilot youtuber from Indonesia with 2,4 million subscriber on youtube, claimed to be pilot youtuber with the most subscriber in the world. and now Indonesian Aviation Authorities (IAA) cancels his pilot license for single engine aircraft due to consideration of violation as follows : 1. not wearing seat harness during a flight 2. giving an aircraft streering control to a non-pilot passenger during a flight 3. performing zero G to a public passenger the decision made by IAA has trigered controversies in public, because the decision is suddenly given without any prior warning. Captain Vincent considerated as a local hero in Indonesia because as a social media influencer and a pilot, he literate lot people in Indonesia about aviation world e.g. zero G which is the latest video he made is #1 trending on Indonesia RUclips and reach 11M views, that is a huge number for a niche content like aviation in Indonesia. and now the person who considerated by some people in Indonesia as mastermind behind of the decision made by IAA is the so-called 'botak' which refer to Indonesian Most Successfull Mentalist : Deddy Corbuzier.
I had seen these visuals many years before and thought this to be part of serious training for future batch of astronauts. Never new it was totally for fun and commercial. And also thanks to this video now I know the science behind it.
Indeed, originally such flights were done for science research and astronaut/cosmonaut training. 20 years ago the first flights were done for private people. And you are right: there is science behind it how it works.
The air intake systems in these aircraft are designed to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted flow of air into the engines. They can handle variations in airflow direction and speed, which is crucial during steep ascents and descents in parabolic flights.
Oh gosh, that looks like so much fun. And I don't think the price is too high. It's a whole plane that uses a lot of fuel, pilots, a whole crew, several instructors all for a couple of people. And I love the Tintin space rocket on the desk. :D
This is the "trick": Before it would stall, nose down. This happens early enough and not in the last second (Safety first!) The flight path is with a pitch of 47 degrees up with full throttle. Raising up from 6.000 meters to 9.500 meters. The flight trajectory is that the nose will be down, the aircraft follows a line what is called "Keppler Parabola". The whole flight is under control. And that it is still working you can see in the video really good. A German aerospace engineer named Prof. Heinz Haber developed this in the 50ties of the last century. You are in a free fall. And this is weightlessness.
No, the plane just flies up and down sharply enough to counter earth gravity on the way down, essentially falling, controllably. The plane is still moving forward fast enough to prevent stalling, the people inside are just moving with it. Its like going over a peak on a roller-coaster experiencing that instant of reduced gravity, only at a much larger scale.
During the zero-g part of the maneuver, being in a ballistic path, the airplane is not generating any lift (only drag). In this condition, by definition stall cannot occur as a wing can only stall if it is generating lift (and at high angle of attack at that). Indeed during the initial pull up and then at the end, pulling out of the dive, an accelerated stall (aggravated by the high-ish G) could in fact happen, but those are done quite cautiously.
its possible in most aircraft just for different durations in time. my cousin and i do this in his bonanza v35b, although for mere seconds, and its by no means a fighter jet.
A parabola doesn't have anything to do with the kind of a plane, it has to do if the plane is working good nearby zerG conditions. The big body aircrafts like the Airbus or the Ilyushin 76 giving more time and more amounts of parabolas, and the systems are good to handle that. You can't do this with any airplane. Especially not if we are talking about science flights.
Just excellent! Look at that A 300 go! Just look how perfect it takes to dive and climb just magnificent man! Wonderful expertise flying crew👍 genius photography
I'm just concerned about how the plane will withstand the stress with all the ascend and descend it does. Do they maintain it or replace the plane after a few flights?
8 years old comment woah… But yeah, the planes go through constant check-ups and maintenance so they can be on their best condition for these flights. Besides updating their planes if possible and/or necessary of course.
I was responding to chensenhan who said "bunch of rich people wasting money". I was saying it gives people jobs. It's not wasting money at all. Like your videos keep up the good work.
I am totally taken away by the music in this video. For me, its so perfect, spiritual, peaceful and adds to the mood of vastness of the blue sky and a big aircraft. Both video and music make justice to each other. Congratulations for the author who discovered the music ?"Atmosphere" by "DigitalR3public" and adding it to this video.(Thanks Space Affairs for telling me the music title). The music reminded me of "Bruce Springsteen - Streets of Philadelphia". I got goosebumps when I listened to Streets of Philadelphia after this video because both are on same key or phase or whatever. If anybody feels the same, I am your friend. Dear Space affairs, I have a question. Is there a video of the aircraft which is shooting ZERO G aircraft? I wonder how big and how far it is. Thanks for replying my other comments and liking one.
No. Instead of burning money for a plane and big ass amounts of kerosene, they simply took a big tube(as the space station) filled with water. The ISS itself is swimming in a secret underground pool. Thats how they faked this entire apollo-moon shit.
No they use real iss Don't worry you will never visit iss because you are dumb enough to think iss is hoax Enjoy your my little pony and rainbow dust world
This is an Airbus A300 (Meanwhile out of service for zeroG, they use an A310 now). The plane is modified by the interior, but the fuselage and wings are standard. A passenger aircraft must withstand the g-forces and aerodynamics. By testing especially the wings the forces will be much higher as like on such a flight or on a normal flight. And the engines must work properly during the microgravity phase by oil pressure and fuel injection.
***** Awww bro, It's RUclips...I was tight last night...gimme a pass this time, huh? Didn't intend to sour the vibe, I was just emphasizing the footage as one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. Thanks for the link. bro.
N. Hail he means that in the video we dont sero zero-G, we see very low G but not zero (or negative) because everyone jumps and goes back to the floor.. so not zero-G (maybe 0.1/0.3 G?) and zero G in this plane and many others is totally doable
sparrowlt Of course there is zeroG. And not in any plane zeroG is up to be performed. The Airbus has all licenses to do also for science payload. 15 parabolas we fly normally, 2 Mars G (1/3G), 2 Moon G (1/6G) and 10 ZeroG. The plane isn't high enough for to see it more better, therefor we are using the IL-76 MDK of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center: ruclips.net/video/29r_6g5NpRA/видео.html
***** Yes.. and also some other planes do like some 707s (mainly C-135s) , some 727 and some Antonovs (the A300 has the advantage of being a widebody so more room) .. but the OP's point was that the parabolas shown in this video didnt seem to be true zero G but like 0.1G
sparrowlt To have zero-G is tough. It's more "micro-gravity" like in space. But task is to have 0G. If there is 0-G or 0,1 etc., you don'T feel it as a guest on board. It is a free fall in general. You are falling, plane is falling in the same speed. So named "Keppler Parabola".

2. giving an aircraft streering control to a non-pilot passenger during a flight
3. performing zero G to a public passenger
the decision made by IAA has trigered controversies in public, because the decision is suddenly given without any prior warning.

Indeed, originally such flights were done for science research and
astronaut/cosmonaut training. 20 years ago the first flights were done
for private people. And you are right: there is science behind it how it
works.
Wow! I'm really surprised that the plane can be pitched up that much. How does that affect air intake?
The air intake systems in these aircraft are designed to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted flow of air into the engines. They can handle variations in airflow direction and speed, which is crucial during steep ascents and descents in parabolic flights.

Inspiring
Oh gosh, that looks like so much fun. And I don't think the price is too high. It's a whole plane that uses a lot of fuel, pilots, a whole crew, several instructors all for a couple of people.
And I love the Tintin space rocket on the desk. :D
É DESSE JEITO QUE A NASA FICA FLUTUANDO, OBRIGADO POR REVELAR ESTE SEGREDO!
OMG!!!! They had soooo much fun!!! I wish i could be there!!!!
Sick! the ADI of this airplane must go crazy! Absolutely off limits!
how is it possible? wouldn't the aircraft stall?
I'm glad it didn't show anybody throwing up. That looked really interesting.

Just excellent! Look at that A 300 go! Just look how perfect it takes to dive and climb just magnificent man! Wonderful expertise flying crew👍 genius photography
Some of these angles the plane is hitting looks like it could cause it to stall out.
Yep this is going into my bucket list
I'm just concerned about how the plane will withstand the stress with all the ascend and descend it does. Do they maintain it or replace the plane after a few flights?
8 years old comment woah…
But yeah, the planes go through constant check-ups and maintenance so they can be on their best condition for these flights.
Besides updating their planes if possible and/or necessary of course.
I was responding to chensenhan who said "bunch of rich people wasting money". I was saying it gives people jobs. It's not wasting money at all. Like your videos keep up the good work.

🇮🇩 Indonesia langsung berburu video 0 gravity setelah capt.Vincent memperkenalkan pengetahuan tentang hal ini.
Dear Space affairs,
I have a question. Is there a video of the aircraft which is shooting ZERO G aircraft? I wonder how big and how far it is. Thanks for replying my other comments and liking one.
LOL just loved this channel

Thank you, you are welcome. And try to study then later on so that you can work on aerospace projects in India.

What happens in Indonesia?
@@thekingBruuuh There's a RUclipsr pilot who was revoked by the single engine license cause he did zero G
Hahaha yeah
Do they experience double G when the plane going up?
Right. 1G - normal flight phase - +2G pulling up 47-degree angle - Zero-G phase - +2G ascent phase - 1G normal flight phase again. You can see that here how a parabolic flight still works, you can click on every flight phase to see more: www.space-affairs.com/en/floaters/freestyle-zerog-parabolic-flight-into-weightlessness

Hiho. We do not fly anymore in France since 2015, we do fly our zeroG's in Russia (doing this since 15 years). More info you can find here: www.space-affairs.com/index.php?wohin=zerog, send us a request and you have the info soon. What you can expect: ruclips.net/video/a3RCDI0YksM/видео.html
is that how nasa films ISS footage?
No. Instead of burning money for a plane and big ass amounts of kerosene, they simply took a big tube(as the space station) filled with water.
The ISS itself is swimming in a secret underground pool.
Thats how they faked this entire apollo-moon shit.
We still hoping that you are a comedian. You have our attention. For now.

are there structural modifications to these planes to deal with the added forces on the wings?
or are they still 'factory'?.
Could do without the 40 second intro!
Nice. Made my day.
I want to do this so much.

You want to manufacture a plane that does this without actually going to space? Be my guest
N. Hail
he means that in the video we dont sero zero-G, we see very low G but not zero (or negative) because everyone jumps and goes back to the floor.. so not zero-G (maybe 0.1/0.3 G?) and zero G in this plane and many others is totally doable
sparrowlt
Of course there is zeroG.
*****
Yes.. and also some other planes do like some 707s (mainly C-135s) , some 727 and some Antonovs (the A300 has the advantage of being a widebody so more room) .. but the OP's point was that the parabolas shown in this video didnt seem to be true zero G but like 0.1G
sparrowlt
To have zero-G is tough. It's more "micro-gravity" like in space. But task is to have 0G.
If there is 0-G or 0,1 etc., you don'T feel it as a guest on board. It is a free fall in general. You are falling, plane is falling in the same speed. So named "Keppler Parabola".
How do these planes pitch up so high but don't get stall?
