This lady is in her mid eighties but has the voice of a 30 year old and far better than a lot of today's rubbish. Wonderful I only hope young people discover her immense recording history.

We were there that night, she was incredible. The sound mixing doesn’t do her justice.
I’d say though that her voice isn’t that of a 30 year old, it’s her control. With age she’s gained a certain tone which only adds to the performance.

I just bow down....truly one of the greatest 'divas' and performers of the last and present century. Ive always thought her story not just under-appreciated, but also worthy of a bio-pic. She went out of her way to not bend to some sort of urge to be as big in the States as she is in Europe...even as she saw peers that are more well known in the States, gain HUGE popularity here. But she just stayed the course and turned into one of the greatest vocalists the World has ever seen.

An absolute phenomenon. I'm sorry to say I dismissed her in my youth because it was what your mum and dad liked. Now I do music production and when I say to a female singer to give it the full Shirley, they know exactly what I mean. The byword for power, control and drama.

I've listened to every James Bond song she has done in the past. I don't remember the year but I had the privilege to see her live at Ruth Eckert hall in Clearwater Florida. She opened up with Diamonds are Forever though this most recent show she did with John Williams and his orchestra where she was in the gold dress, this version of Goldfinger she did
was in my opinion by far the best version that she ever did. What moved me, was at the end of the song, she intentionally waited a few seconds after the orchestra started to close the song; the very end when she sang "He loves Gold, she waited a couple of seconds before she sang the last word (gold).. that's what I'm talking about.... my God what a perfect way to end that song.... if you look up the word class in the dictionary, it would be nice if you saw her picture....
She has been singing these songs for 60 years but still puts everything in as if it were the first time. I can easily forgive her that little squeak in goldfinger too.
