It's funny how different us knife people really are sometimes! I love front flippers! I have very big hands, IDK if that gives me an advantage or not when opening front flippers. I own the Lumi, the Reverie, the Hazakura, the Gannett, the Oni, and many other front flippers, and I love them all! I'm trying to decide if I want to buy the Eidolon or the Void Black Opus first, but I'll eventually own both. Thank you for the, as always, honest review!
Awesome for you. To each their own. Glad you like it. Thanks.
I love the aesthetics of the blade but like you front flipping is not me so I'm going to go with your valued opinion on this one my dear brother! Great job bro
Thanks man
Gotta tell it the way you see it! Thanks for your honest thoughts on the knife KC!
That's right. Thanks so much
I have the Kizer Feist and sometimes i have a really hard time to open it, for that reason it doesn’t get much pocket time. I then got the Civivi Lumi and it’s way easier for me to open and gets more time in my pocket. Both designed by Justin.
Yeah maybe it's that the detent is inconsistent between their models. I have no idea. This is also a very lightweight blade so that may have something to do with it as well. Thank you
Seems like the detent is just too strong on that example. That is one of my gripes with WE. Variance in detents. I had one and it was easy to open, but wasn’t for me either. Ironically i loved the baby barlow which is essentially a mini Eidolon
Very interesting. Yeah I have heard their stuff can be really inconsistent. It was definitely extremely stiff and the blade is super lightweight which didn't help either. Thanks Kev
Thanks for the review KC! Just because you don't like a particular knife doesn't mean its a bad knife, it just means it's not for you. That's why it's good to have lots of different voices on RUclips.
Also, as soon as I saw this one I knew it wouldn't be for me as well.
That's what I've said all along. I'm so glad there are so many different styles and makers that we can all choose from. Thanks
Why in the blue hell are you sorry? Brother you are rapidly climbing into my top five knife channels I love your take on knives and I love your honesty. Knives are subjective to the nth degree.
I hear you man. I just really like We and Civivi And what they are doing. This one was just a swing and a miss for me. Thanks for the encouragement and for watching. Thanks
So, I'm getting the impression that this just isn't the night for you 😬. I know what you're saying bro. Some front flippers are just easy as cake for me and others, I feel like a person that picked up a folding knife for the first time 🤣. Thank you for an awesome review on this knife bro!
I hear you man. That's exactly how I feel. But most front flippers aren't my favorites. Some are. But most are not. And yes I didn't care for this knife. Lol. Thanks
I dislike front flippers, I can't get the hang of them. I look like a moron trying to open, on ones I can open. So I completely relate with you on this model. I have same issue with void opus.
Yep. Sounds the same as me. Thanks.
I am right there with you KC. The WE Eidolon and the Civivi Lumi are just a no go for me. Cannot get them to open right either. Hoping the front flipper trend dies off soon.
Yeah I hear you. I'm just not getting it. The QSP Gannett is a great flipper as was the Civivi lazar and imperium but there's just not many that I do well with. And this one is probably one of the worst. Thanks
Different strokes for different folks. Keep the front flippers going!
So glad I didnt listen to these kinds of comments before I got my Lumi. That thing snaps open like its assisted opening, flips as good as any knife I've ever tried. Some people don't know how to do it, and some need to practice. It was extremely intuitive for me
Seems like it's a little stiff, my Kizer Feist was like this at first. It's taken me a long time to like front flippers but I still generally stay away from them.
Oh it's definitely stiff, and the lightweight blade doesn't help either. Thank you so much
Front flipping is tough for me also the reaching over the top I can't do with my Tribute but my son does it with no problem. We did and amazing job on this knife it look killer
Oh it's a very beautiful knife. Just not one that I can open. Which makes it a problem for me to use. Thanks
I am instantly jealous of your Tribute, one day I will find one for myself!
@@plenipote it may go up on my IG page for grabs soon I love it just can't carry them all Thank you
I can see collectors buying that knife because collectors buy anything. If a person needed a knife for any reason in the world other than just having it for videos or pictures or whatever, I can’t imagine that would EVER be the knife. I’m finding it difficult to even watch knife review videos anymore because it feels like companies just make more expensive more designer knives that have lost track of function. But I appreciate your honest opinion about this one.
I hear you man. This one is not for me, but there are plenty of knives coming out that are still built on function. And many in the budget price range as well. Keep watching there's plenty more good ones to come. Thanks
I own both the Civivi McKenna and Lazar and I have zero issues opening them. The McKenna got me to love front flippers but this WE is a different animal. More of a "top flipper" and is one that I can see might be difficult for some.
Yeah I agree with what you're saying. A true front flipper is easier than this kind of design. But to each their own. Thank you
Its probably just that knife in particular. have had the same experience when i bought two of a knife before, one had a perfect detent and flipped effortlessly, while the other way too hard detent and hurts the finger to flip.
Yes I agree. I also don't do well with any knife and a reach around like that. But thank you so much for watching
I have a couple of these and it's the first top flipper l can easily open with the finger roll method. It's my favorite of over two dozen front flippers.
Wow man. That's awesome. But I sure can't. Thanks for watching
I love this classic dagger grinds. Thats something i wish there were more of!
They are sleek and nice. Thanks
It's a pretty cool design. Great review KC 👍
Welcome. Cool, but strange. Ha. Thanks
My Goodness this is a beautiful knife!! I love that it looks alot like an auto but being a front flipper makes it a big no for me as well! If they had made it an auto I'd be all in with those ascetics!!
Well said. I mean it is a gorgeous looking knife. But opening a knife is kind of important. Thanks
There are trends in the knife industry.Front flippers are no big deal for me, but the aesthetics. Someone has success with a knife that has holes in the handles and poof, lots of new designs with holes in the handles. Same with the giant pivot, I don't think this trend will last that long but for me its was a hard pass from the start.
Oh I definitely think it's a trend. And things like that coming go. We shall see. It's not my thing. Thanks for watching
The Knive looks very cool , great design , take care
I agree. Thanks
I am not great at front flippers so I will pass on this one. A knife with good materials. I just don't think it would get any pocket time. Thanks for the review.
Yeah, it's not great. ha. Thanks
Not for me! No thanks, but I do like your Valet tray. Bad ass! 👍🇺🇸🤙🇺🇲✌
Yep. Agree. Thanks. I love the tray.
Not my cupatee either 😏
Thanks.
loosen the pivot
Yeah I don't usually do that on a knife that I don't own. But I agree it might have helped a little bit. Thank you
KKKKKKCCCCCC!!!!
Hey Scab!!!
❤️ this 🔪
It's a beauty. I had some trouble opening it but it's really nice. Thanks
