    Hi, great vids been watching all the 890r ones, got the same bike and exhaust how did you remove baffle please?

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  2 года назад

      Thanks so much, there’s a rubber grommet that you can pull off, beneath the grommet there’s a small bolt that you can loosen with an Allen key, and that lets you pull out the baffle.

    Saw that slm racing tag! I bought mine through them two months ago? Any tips on the new exhaust install I hope to do it in a month or so.

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  2 года назад

      congrats man! yeah for the install just make sure you kind of "map" out where everything goes, when you install the headers don't tighten it all the way, so you can get the midpipe aligned just right. Then you tighten it down. Aside from that it's a fairly straight forward (1) remove the stock system and (2) install the new system. The other video I have has a little more info, but it isn't a true step-by-step: ruclips.net/video/pLufH70ALXo/видео.html.

      Hi Hector, thank you, here’s the link www.rottweilerperformance.com/search.php. Just search for “Tekmo Duke covers”.
      If you watch my latest video, I pointed out one weird quirk with these covers. On the shift side, the standard OEM shift rod rubs the cover just a little bit, but if you switch to GP/race shift it clears the cover…a little bit silly. But the covers look great!

    Hi Việt, bạn cho mình hỏi 790 với 890 có sự khác biệt nhiều ko ạ ?

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  2 года назад

      Chào bạn, 790 và 890R rất giống nhau. Nhưng điểm khác biệt lớn là 890R có suspension và brakes tốt hơn 790.
      Nếu bạn đã có 790, thì đừng nâng cấp lên 890 mà hãy nâng cấp lên 890R.

    Duke 890 R looks, sounds and rides super cool, IMHO. I am kind of torn between getting a Duke 890 R or an RC 390 - for a mix of small track riding (as a track novice), occasional commute and just riding around for fun - but no travel, no long distance rides. Ideally I would love to get an RC 890 R if it existed ;-) Or maybe I should get both above mentioned bikes, one for track and the other for daily riding and fun on the streets and roads. But the latter I know it's not gonna happen. ;-)

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! Yeah I love the design of the Duke. It looks *rad* and more interesting than say a Street Triple RS. If you don't mind my asking, where do you live? I ask because the types of roads I think you have available may impact what you pick. I'm in Texas, I would pick the Duke because we have very long stretches of roads on the highway and it would be much easier to cruise on the 890 than the RC 390.
      However, if you have a kart track that allows bikes, racetrack, and canyons/twisty roads and you really want to "develop" skill as a rider, the RC390 is a great option. I just wouldn't get it if you had a lot of long highway type roads where you're sharing the road with giant trucks/vehicles.
      Just a thought! :)

    • @Statek63
      @Statek63 2 года назад +1

      @@vtranmoto Indeed that was my thinking ;-) And yes, we do have some small(ish) tracks nearby, this one is some 25 miles away:
      autodromslomczyn.pl/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/autodrom-s%C5%82omczyn-4.jpg
      and another, slightly bigger one is some 70 miles away:
      www.mercedes-benz.pl/passengercars/the-brand/amg-driving-academy/explore/tracks/details/_jcr_content/par/productinfotextimage_992722655/media2/slides/videoimageslide/image.MQ6.12.2x.20210216115618.jpeg
      so I am quite tempted to get the RC 390 :-) Or maybe KTM will solve my dilemma and will come up with an RC 890 R next year ;-) Cheers !

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  2 года назад +1

      @@Statek63 those tracks look like a TON of fun, especially on a RC390, I would definitely go that route! Or even a KTM 450 SMR!

    • @Statek63
      @Statek63 2 года назад +1

      @@vtranmoto Yes, my exact thought. Except that I will also want to ride on the public roads sometimes, so no SMR 450 for me ;-) But a second bike like an 350 EXC-F for some offroading ? Yes, sure, as soon as I can afford it :D

      your stock bike has 206 mm of ground clearance with the full system that you put low or the ground clearance remained the same??? For me this is important since I live in an area where there are many speed bumps and potholes
      and ruin this akra would be a waste

    hi, did you remap tyour ECU? Have you noticed differences in performance? thank you

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  Год назад

      Hi there, yes it has the Akrapovic map, the dealer installed it. The general rule is if you do a slip on a map is unnecessary but if you do a full system you’ll want to map it to the new system.
      It rides butter smooth with the full system + map. And sounds mean!

      Goratch!!! It’s been so long.
      When we measured it, it was about 90db at idle at half throttle it was over 105db. I think it’ll be closer to 110db at full throttle (without the baffle).

    shootout after shootout test after test shows the akra as 1 of the worst systems you can put on a bike ! does not give bhp gains that other systems give in most cases does not sound as good as other systems and oh lets not forget the elephant in the room its the MOST expensive system in some cases 3 times more expensive than systems that give better sound and power figures ! akra systems are basicly a designer label for bragging rights other than that i wouldnt have 1 given.
