I just replaced pressure switch, gauge and valve. Still getting the hammer when pump starts. I'm aldo losing some pressure (about 15psi) within an hour. Could I have a bad pressure tank?

Sounds like check valve on suction side if no water is coming out at outlet when you loose 15 pounds within hour . The hammering is caused by lack of air in your pressure tank. Most tanks have a means of adding air. Look how I solved the problem in larger systems . (www.heil2owatersolutions.com)

At static condition what is the pressure at bottom and top of the vessel.
At surge condition what is the pressure at top and bottom of the vessel .
My site condition is pumping pressure -9.6 bar
Pre charged pressure is - 2 bar
