    I also repair laptops to keep me busy. At 8:22 removing the bottom with the upper part.. no screws.. only plastic hooks (that can break). I prefer screws. Many laptop manufacturers save pennies on screws and so. 1.5 $ screws saved on a 400-1000 $ laptop. yeah. Made to be destroyed. Whenever I buy a 2nd hand laptop, i have high rules. Durability, easy to disassemble, etc. Speed is not important. Hacks can be done, to speed things up on an old Centrino machine. Choppy stuttering youtube ? Use SMTube with SMplayer. then you can watch HD videos without stutter. Anyhow, Regazzz, thanks for posting your video.

    Okay now I understand you better. I still managed to open and close the device with the help of your video and without explanations :)
    If you talk about something that you think people are not interested it is in my opinion not that bad because ther will always be someone who wants to hear that and learn more. I don t think that people will be turned off by additional information to something. they can at least learn or press mute :)

    Thanks for the video! My daughter has one like this and Iam constantly repairing it! She has dropped it, burnt it, banged it, and it still works. One tough little laptop!

    Shoot, this is the first Dell I've encountered where the heat-pipe isn't accessible from the top. Thanks for the upload!

    Thanks for this video. Helped me to swap the failing fan with ease.

      +Jakub Jiricek Really? It looks like he took out 2 dozen screws and a bunch of other stuff before getting to the fan. I need to just do the fan - so what do I *really* have to do?!?

    • @JakubJiricek
      @JakubJiricek 8 лет назад +1

      +Ian Gordon Yeah, no easier way I guess. Unfortunately. Worked for me, although I recommend taking couple of pictures of the screws during the way. My DELL now works as new.

    Hehe Okay I understand now why you stoped talking. I guess why I asked for comments was just an accomodation to talking in videos. But its clear that it works without from your experience :). Your videos are great help.

    Blue back cover on ebay will cost maybe 25$, the other problem is that LCD can be damaged too...
    If you worry about video card than just check how it look on the external screen. If there will be some blemishes in the corner, than video bad, if everything will looks good, than it is most likely LCD.

    Dell is generally pretty easy. Some macs are very hard. What mac was easy for you?

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  12 лет назад

    No, from the battery side you can only remove hard drive, memory, WiFi and DVD. For everything else you have to remove a palmrest.

    would be nice if you could talk a little bit. but i can understand if you cant because english may not be your native language. isnt mines either.

    The wiring shouldn't be a problem. After laptop was dropped and something wrong on the screen main problem it is LCD.

    Hi, Alexandru, I am very sorry for such a late respond. Usually I answer once a day, but sometimes, for some reason comments don't arrive to my inbox, very sad :(
    I would say if you pushing this cable to a display connector, looks like it doesn't connect well. Probably everything is fine with cable but connector by it self is loose or something like that, I would try to keep it the way this lines disappear.
    Since it is already over a week, you probably found better solution?
    I hope so!

    say if i got left and right fully up it it sounds like crap but if one is at 50% and another at 100 its sounds great, so idk i thought it might be the speakers but i went for it and took it apart and changed them out, and the new ones sound the same!
    im mad guess i have to do 50/100, but thanks for responding!!!!

    What is that little compartment next to the memory modules. There seems to be two wires for something and a small connector sticking out. I thought that was the ON card but the connectors on the pictures shown for that do not seem to match at all for the E4300 model.

      Apollos Jolivert it looks like made for different type of wifi bluetooth cards etc. Not sure exactly what place are you talking about. Some of them are designated.

  • @regazzz

    remove a palmrest, than change speakers. Check before, maybe they disconnected.
    Why you decide they are bad?

    hi none of my usb ports nor my wifi hardware devices are working although correct drivers have been installed, what else could be wrong pls?

    • @regazzz
      @regazzz  8 лет назад

      you might need to test some different USB board (so far I got it, it is with Ethernet board)
      If drivers are correct than look in to parts.

    • @regazzz

      It is possible if you will heat it up and pull out, but nobody doing it nowadays. This boards cost so cheap that you can buy a whole lower part of a laptop for like $30 :)

    You know, I make so many videos, that if I will talk - I will loose my voice :) I have some accent, but I don't care about that. I can make some mistakes, but I don't care about that either. My other problem I talk a lot. So if I will talk about some things in this video I can talk even more about something you don't really want to here.
    I understand that it will be nice to have some explanations, and I plan to make a video for people who need explanations...

    You know, when I just started, I want to talk, but after three videos my voice was down. What I was telling in that videos was such a bs that I am glad I don't do that. Also people are always welcome to suggest some annotations for any videos, and if someone feel I am doing something wrong and suggestion is useful, I usually add annotations to the video. As for right now I am getting more thanks for no talking no music in my videos rather than "you need to talk".. I would say 8 to 2:)
    Thank you!
