    Gorgeous! That stone! Maybe set first. Do you can have it held by jet set or something. Then curve the silver.

      You're welcome! I won't be doing online classes, just these youtube videos. Unfortunately my schedule just doesn't allow me time to commit to that. If there are certain things you would like to see, please feel free to make suggestions. :-)

    I love your videos so much I am constantly watching and rewatching😁 Question: After the final buff and you move to the clean up process with the ammonia solution is it safe for stones or should this be handled without allowing the solution to hit the stone?

    • @tammybaalman2429
      @tammybaalman2429  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! I'm glad they are helpful. I have never had an issue using the ammonia solution on a piece after the stone is set, but you should always do your research first. I don't actually run the ultrasonic unless I have researched if it is safe for the stone. I just heat up the ammonia solution in the ultrasonic and then clean the ring with a soft toothbrush while the machine is off. There are many stones that should not be placed in an ultrasonic machine because the vibrations can crack delicate stones. Hope this helps!

      I'm so glad it was helpful! I do like my ultrasonic cleaner especially for cleaning up after polishing. I also use it a lot for prepping my pieces for etching. I actually got mine from Harbor Freight, so if you have one near you, that might be a good option. Thanks for pointing out that the link isn't working. I'll make sure I fix it.

      Tammy, I really appreciate that you take the time to make your videos for us. I know it takes a lot of time and it means a lot to me. Thank you so much! I also appreciate the list you provided. I have many of those things on my wish list!

      You are very welcome! I like knowing where I can find similar items to those shown in videos or at least what they are called so I can find them later. It's funny because I always find something else I think I need when I'm compiling the list. I also fixed the broken link you mentioned.

    I really want to make one of these!!! Do you think if I used 10 gauge half round for the metal I could accomplish this with a butane torch? In my small space right now its all I can safely use....

    • @tammybaalman2429
      @tammybaalman2429  4 года назад +1

      I have a lot of trouble using the butane torches on bracelets, but I have been successful if I use 2 of them at the same time. It can get a little tricky, but the extra heat really is needed. Be sure and use a barrier flux to prevent firestain. Good luck!

      @@tammybaalman2429 Thanks Tammy!! That was my next question about the barrier flux I understand that it's denatured alcohol and boric acid correct is that the same borax that I'm seeing in the store I see it but I'm afraid to get it because I don't know if it's the right one but it's a box it's usually with laundry soap and it says borax and does it have to be denatured alcohol or can it be like isopropyl alcohol I really appreciate all your help and guidance and I seen it coming on I think it was this video asking if you're going to be doing online classes I would so be down for that if you would!!!

    • @tammybaalman2429
      @tammybaalman2429  4 года назад

      @@JayDub_143, I use Boric Acid instead of Borax. You can get it from RioGrande.com and they also provide instructions for making it. www.riogrande.com/article?name=MixingBoricAcidBarrierFlux. I really haven't considered doing online classes because my time is so limited. I may consider doing some live videos taking user suggestions for topics to cover.
