I met Rosie at a wedding a few years ago. She was incredibly kind to all of us star-struck people. I told her that I missed her show and remembered her kids being born... I meant it! And she was sweet. The industry has not been kind to her
realizing Rosie and I ARE THE SAME AGE AND i've been feeling like my life is over now that I'm retired and she's talking about her next 30 summers brought tears to my eyes and snapped me out of it!
I was ten when her talk show debuted. It was always fun, she made me laugh and seemed like a warm person to her guests. Also, best hair on daytime! Will probably check her podcast out
We need a Rosie Renaissance!! Let's give this legend her flowers while she's still here thriving and turning into a TikTok queen!! We need a new talkshow, a sitcom, and some more movies!!
She very recently said no stand up to be with her 10 year old, although she would love to do it. She's still acting in small roles and she was on 2 different game shows last week that'll be airing some day into the future.
She’s also interactive on social media. I’ve responded to posts of hers, and had her like and comment back. Was happiest moment of my life online - seeing her name in my notifications!
Hey don’t come for Mamma Mia 😂 Love Rosie so much. She’ll always be Betty from the Flinstones for me. She’s like that cool aunt that lets you get away with everything and just goes “don’t tell your mother.” I love seeing Jimmy and Rosie just get together and chat like this.
I’m also 61 & Rosie is a gem and so right, when you get to this age…maybe even 50, you don’t care what people think…it’s pointless because if anyone is judging you, you don’t need them in your life.
Dang I forgot Rosie had her own talk show back in the day when Jimmy was on SNL. She's such a riot, I'd have thought she'd have had a couple recent sitcoms by now 💕
Rosie O DONNELL is absolutely gem love her. I miss seeing her on daytime tv always love her point of view it inspired intelligent, and entertaining thank you Jimmy for invited her on tonight 👏🏽👏🏽.
My Childhood Best Friend And I Saw Greese In NYC When Rosie and Joe Piscapo and Al Jarreau starredm and we were THRILLED when you walked on!!! IT WAS OUR VERY FIRST BROADWAY PLAY!!! We were 20-somethings Were in our 60's now LOL!!! GOOD TO SEE YOU TONIGHT ROSSIE!
Rosie is wonderful, pure honesty, and she's right about Shaun Hayes. He's been a lurking genius of talent filling bit roles. His time to shine has finally come. Thanks Jimmy, your writers are the best and I wish them well!
Omg man I love Rosie O'Donnell since I remember her from Harriet the spy for Flintstones and of course I remember her from her many appearances on kids choice awards after hosted like 5 times I lost count LOL
I was an extra in the movie, “A League of their Own.” I saw her for 42 days straight. She was one of the kindest people that I have ever met, as was Tom Hanks & Penny Marshall. Madonna, on the other hand, was not.
Omg how was Madonna not kind, if u don’t mind me asking for the juicy gossip? Was she mean to you personally or was it something you saw her do to someone else?
@@greenlee7smythe I was an extra in A League of Their Own. I saw her almost everyday/night that they filmed in Indiana & Kentucky. ( The boarding house scenes were done in my hometown in Kentucky, Henderson, but it was never mentioned in the credits). Madonna was one of the most vile people that I have ever met. I thought it was because of long hours of filming in 106°F heat, day after day. But, we went to a gay bar one night. She was with Vanilla Ice, and he was nice, (not her at all). Penny Marshall, Tom Hanks, Rosie O'Donnell, Lori Petty, Gena Davis were all great. Rosie made everything fun. Anything else u would like to know, just ask.
@@kittyformanrn9268 that’s interesting. How exactly was she vile? Like, can you give examples? I don’t pay much attention to the news or like gossipy articles or pages or reports and I don’t watch tv much. (Too much reality tv and everything now has just gone downhill) I’m really really sorry she was horrible to you. I hope u weren’t a HUGE fan of hers beforehand as meeting ur idol and finding out they’re awful or not what u expected can be a pretty painful experience.
@@greenlee7smythe I was a huge fan. I still like her music. It seems she gets stranger the older she has gotten. She was condescending, but she had probably always been that way. She would mock her fans that were there to see/meet her. Arrogant 100% of the time. Refuse to take photos or shake hands. Had nothing nice to say about Southern Indiana or it’s people. Requested no one make eye contact with her, or talk to her. Etc.
I love Rosie ever since I was a kid it’s a true privilege to follow her on TikTok to watch her podcast because she truly is humble, kind, and funny and caring
I had the opportunity to have a lengthy conversation with Rosie O'Donnell several years ago who DM'd me after I left her a response to a wonderful statement she made on Twitter. She is so lovely, kind, real, and absolutely wonderfully amazing.
She had one back in the 90's. She got into a heated discussion about gun control with Tom Selleck during an interview. Tom kept his cool, but she lost her temper and nearly kicked him out of the studio. IIRC, she was the one who brought up the subject. Personally, I can't stand her.
I always adored Rosie, but didn’t care for her political rants. However, she always knew what she stood for and why she felt the way she felt. Nothing but respect. I remembered watching her show for the Broadway reviews. Miss seeing her and glad Jimmy had her.
Love, love Ro! REAL fng deal anti Ellen! Her talk show was waay better too. Under appreciated. Fantastic interviewer & *listener who made basically every guest (even 'difficult' ones feel super comfortable).
Rosie is so supportive to everyone. A real friend.
I met Rosie at a wedding a few years ago. She was incredibly kind to all of us star-struck people. I told her that I missed her show and remembered her kids being born... I meant it! And she was sweet. The industry has not been kind to her
The industry never likes strong outspoken women...usually the men in the industry who pull the strings
She got a lot of heat for questioning and talking truth about 911. Celebrities who tell the truth get treated badly by the industry
realizing Rosie and I ARE THE SAME AGE AND i've been feeling like my life is over now that I'm retired and she's talking about her next 30 summers brought tears to my eyes and snapped me out of it!
Love Rosie!! Still bringing Broadway to our living rooms, just like the days of The Rosie O'Donnell Show. She's a gift.
Rosie o donnell ! the cool aunt that everyone hopes will fly out for thanksgiving dinner
The kind of women who likes having lesbian orgies and snorting cocaine
Unless you're a conservative 😂
No
I agree even though I'm old enough to be her aunt. ♥
SHES a witch .

Jimmy tearing up at the end. Aww my heart!! ❤
She really was the best talk show host. Her guests were always comfortable and she had great rapport with them
Tom Sellick might disagree lol
@@artemia79 hahahaha well...🤷🏻♂️ She did apologize right after their convo within the episode
Tom Selleck is a moron doing that commercial for reverse mortgages to rip off seniors.
Hahaha! Can't fault her for being passionate about gun control. Sad nothing has changed. That was a long time ago.

Love Rosie! I miss her original “feel good” tv talk show. I hope her podcast does well for her.
I"m feeling ancient, she mentioned her 20yo daughter and it's Vivie,!!!! I remember when she talked about all her kids. I really miss her show
Came here to say how much I missed The ROD show. It was just nice, happy, fun. She’s the best at LISTENING to her guests and following up.

What an enthusiasm for Broadway. Keep inspiring.
She’s donated so much of her money and time too! A true supporter of the arts!
