the whole funeral Zoro was so shocked that he couldnt believe it, then alone with Kuina's Father, his sensei, he lays it all out on the table, then once he knows that he can carry their dream on, he is finally able to mourn.

some theories says that " falling from the stairs " is a way to say she commite suicide by desperation. But not sure if it's true or not , but this can explain the conversation between the adults during the funeral " why did she need to do that ? she was only a child " it's not confirmed i think it's kind of these scene were oda let you just choose your own interpretation, you can decide it's just an accident and it's okay or you can read between the adult words a little more and decide it was a suicide but for me the conversation between adults and enven kyoushiro saying he is " just an ordinary parent" let me imagine kuina commits suicide on the storehouse because of a dispute between her and her father blaming himself for not being a perfect father.

I genuinely thought the same thing, she went through it and realised she couldn’t keep up with Zoro and the disappointment of her dad too.. dark but quite probable
