I could never understand why Chinese companies like Xiaomi and Vivo decided to invest in India, full well knowing they would get blackmailed by the Indian Government. This was really an own goal and hopefully sets a precedent for others to follow (i.e. not invest in India).

Many Indixx businesses in Africa ordered goods from China with a small deposit. When goods arrived Africa, they would not cleared customs but just let it sit there until the end of the expiry date.
They would bid it at a very low price in collusion with the customs people. Be alert whom you export to, if the owner is Indixx, you must charge 100% upfront.

If you visit India you better have enough change or the right change if you buy anything from an Indian street hawker and tells you it is 5 rupees, please pay him exactly 5 rupees. If you pay him 10 rupees, he will take your money and will never return you the change or differences. If you confront him for the change, he will tell you it is 10 rupees shamelessly. I wouldn't say every Indian street hawker behaves like this but majority of them are.

Indian courts always unfairly support the Indian side in all commercial disputes with fireign companies! This shows that all Indian courts are heavily biased and worse still, heavily complicit in illegally seizing the incomes and assets of foreign companies for all types of arbitrary reasons
The second pattern of deceitful Indian behaviour is refusing to pay up on receipt of full delivery! Among the many examples of this criminal behaviour is the Shanghai coal plant construction company which was refused payment on completion of a brand new coal fired power plant ! There never any intention to pay?

Western countries together with their allies see China is the only threat to them. These perspective somehow push them to build soft corner for Indians.
Following Western narratives , there are still many countries who see China as a bad country and the rest are good because they have democracy.
