Great video. One question though. The first deer you shoot looks like it stands on top af a hill. Here in norway it is actually not allowed to fire a gun if the background isn’t secured. Is there no such rules in america? This is not criticism, just a question in poor english.😊
I know of no such rules, but each state of our 50 has its own set of rules for such things. But you also have to consider how rural much of the US actually is, especially in Alaska and the mountain west (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado). It is further across Texas than it is from Oslo to Fauske, almost as far across Montana as Oslo->Fauske. Utah and Colorado have some big cities, but there are more people in Houston, Texas than there are in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming combined.
@@smokedbrisket3033 yeah, i am aware of that. Norway is also quite rural, but the law regarding secured backgroung counts everywhere. But i guess it is like mr Smith wrote, that the camera Angle is deceptive.😊
I hunted Anticosti in October 2012. Enjoyed every minute of it. Fantastic scenery. I had a cabin by the seashore. Deer all over the place. If you ever get the chance go for it.
This episode was originally released on the Sportsman Channel during my network days! The hunt was too good not to share on YT. You can still book this hunt today through www.linkswildsafaris.com if you're interested!
@@JAlainSmith interesting, thank you. I’m a DIY guy, but I’m beginning to explore out west. Some of the western states’ regulations and seasons are so complicated that I probably need a guide just to put me in the correct place
Excellent video through and through, but I absolutely love the very end the most. Too darn funny.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This looked like a great place for a stroll with your favorite rifle! The perfect example of why stainless and synthetic rifles have their purpose.

Camera angles can be deceptive
You´r quite right... Here in Portugal is just the same... It´s not safe a shot with no "horizon"....!
@@josecardoso3975 i reckon it is like Smith wrote, that the camera gives wrong impression of the situation.

When was this filmed? Hurricane Sandy has been a while.
A few years back when Sandy was real!
How do you get a flinch out of a camera man???
Get a tripod...
Walk ‘n stalk is the best
Hurricane Sandy ...like 2012?
Wow. Your video editor took a very long vacation between then and now. You must be an awfully nice man and understanding boss.
