The issue was that the bike was kept outdoors before i owned it and the brake parts got a little corroded and not lubricated… but i cleaned and lubed it and no problem since
Thanks for watching and subscribe! No i have not needed to regrease… this happened in the first place because the bike was stored outdoors (before I owned it), but hasn’t happened since
Thanks for watching and subscribe... if the brake components get wet from water they can rust, causing a sqeaking sound. In my case the previous owner kept it outside. Just do exactly what i did in the video... clean the dirty brake pins a little and lube them up with that stuff i used.
Thanks for watching and subscribe ! You shouldn’t have a problem unless you ride in the rain, keeping it outside will make the problem come back as well
Good video. Why didn't you clean the clip since you were in there?
This video solved the rear brake squealing on my 22 Grom!! thanks so much
Thanks for watching and subscribe, yeah it happens when the brake parts get water on them, or if the bike is stored outside
Hi I have the same noisy brake problem on my 22 as well hopefully this video helps out!
Did this fix last? I've heard you have to replace pads with an aftermarket brand.
Thanks man, did exactly as you said and my rear break is now dead silent, was making the same exact noise
Thanks for watching and subscribe! It happens when its ridden in the rain, or if it sits outside!
Is there a left and a right side pads on the groms? Also can the caliper come off without removing the wheel?
Followed this to a T. It worked for me. Thanks! 5mm tool by the way.
Thanks for watching and subscribe. It happens alot more often if the bike gets wet, but I always keep mine in the garage
Did you transfer the shim over from the oem pads? If not, that’s why it’s squeaking. Get a shim to put on back on.

Been about a year, how’s it sounding? Have you had to re grease them again?

My rear breaks squeak a bit whenever I’m just moving the bike. Does that mean they are rubbing too much? How do i fix it?

@@Drive315 i just checked and they aren’t rusted. I think the brake pad itself is just running on the drums at all time so it seems tight
@@CHiTO316 my Chinese bike does the same ima check all bolts and stuff and see what’s up
Is the caliper starting to seize
This was a life saver

LET ME KNOW WHAT OTHER VIDEOS YOU WANNA SEE WITH THE GROM !!!
Might be too quick to tell from this video. I did this to my KTM but the squeaking came back after some miles of riding.
