I actually think the second goal scored by Corne is a bit underrated, he made a brilliant run to get the right side of the defender and a great finish that any Premiership player would have been proud of.

Non league team beating 2nd position on the championship and potential prem team next season is insane.
The difference between teams like that is minimal. Over a season, the lower team would lose , but over 90 mins? Its not insane. Only 4 divisions below them.
@@richard6440 4 divisions is a huge difference, and the championship guys are professionals who get paid a livable wage so they can train and practice everyday. The national league guys are basically semi-pro and most if not all have to work a day job.
@@dkwsu16 That is the pay and time to train. What i'm saying is the difference is ' not very much ' . If it was huge , a prem or champ side would win every game.
@@richard6440 yeah maybe if it’s 1 division or 2 below. But losing to side 4 tiers below is rare. And there are some hidden gem players in the national league that move up eventually, and talent wise the leagues might be closer, but how organized the team plays, how professional they play, how well they can play a proper system it’s a huge difference.

To be fair and honest Ipswich were were way way on top , but it's one of those days where you can have 199 shoots on targets nothing or just one goes in..
They got what they deserved for putting out the reserves against a battle-hardened and determined team. Coventry didn't make the same mistake.

Dude, it’s football. They had tons of chances and hit the woodwork many times. Maidstone just played out of their skulls. Try to see the positive.
Mind Maidstone is a Semi Pro even, not even a pro club like how many steps below the Championship.
They are not your average semi-pro club, they train three mornings a week. The players are allowed to take a second job to supplement their income but they train significantly more than most non-league sides.
