Drawing inspiration from that concept, we set reishi as a health gauge in the game, and players can break the konpaku to decrease reishi," he added." We introduced systems that allow players to experience reversals such as breaking konpaku with a single strike or enhancing power through transformations to facilitate breaks.” Everything else is just IGN giving their own analysis of the game.
I like that characters get stronger as the battle rages on. It feels like the anime because you can't just start out in your strongest form you gotta work up to it.
Eh sort of, Ichigo popped bankai without fighting in his shikai a couple of times. Though it isn’t his “strongest” since it was without hollow mask so.
I’m actually really glad they’re making the game so unique! This means people who already love arena fighters and people who don’t like arena fighters can try it out because it’s so different.
i think at 8:48, the reason why Ichigo loses 4 bars is because the orange represent how many they would lose if hit by a special. And Ichigo's "hp" was really low, so it possibly took another bar because the meter was so close to being empty
thats exactly why, i think the video is poorly edited cus the points where they break to do a special is cut from different gameplay because byakuya and ichigo dont have meter when that break happens so my guess is that you can deplete the bar that removes 1 then they go into a break state and you can spend meter to do more konpaku dmg thats why the number of konpaku lost is always 1 more than the glowing orange shows because its not counting the one you break through fighting
After watching this with Globku I have some guesses on how the systems work. 1. The orange health bars are what you'll lose if you lose all your hp. So if you're dropped to zero by a basic combo you'll lose the orange health HOWEVER by using those special moves they talk about in the trailer you actually take an extra life. So at the start Ichigo takes three because his final hit is that special hit, taking the 2 orange PLUS the extra one for doing the special. 2. The two types of reverses will work slightly like the awakenings in the Demon Slayer game. You have the yellow one which, yes, gives you health regen and maybe helps you escape an attack but might reduce your damage or reduce how quickly you gain meter (obviously the nerf part is a complete guess) while the red reverse is an offensive one, one that may increases damage and meter gain, meaning an easier time taking extra stocks/lifes. Essentially what I'm assuming is your gonna reverse to either gain the advantage in life or gain the advantage of higher damage and use it to take more lifes. Anyway that's what I'm thinking after watching the trailer and obviously all guesses. Thanks for reading if you actually took the time.
I'm guessing it's something where you can use Super Special Moves to take away your opponent's "Konpaku" (Lives/Stocks) regardless of their "Reishi" (HP), and you can reduce their "Reishi" to stun them and unleash a special move to eliminate a large amount of their "Konpaku" I forget what this game reminds me of, but there have been a few similar fighting games back in the day where damage isn't always the best path to victory
@@m3tl1kv3e9 yeah, or its predecessor There was a lot of experimentation back in the day, where basic attacks were just one step on the grind to the W
Idc what anyone says I love that it's a complex arena fighter! And they're not making it complicated for no reason, they're naming things by using words which are accurate to Bleach's universe. Which makes the experience more immersive.
I believe it’s pretty strait-forward. Each fighter has 9 health bars. Depleting 1 health bar gives you the opportunity to perform and land a super move that immediately depletes 2-3 additional healths bars. This equates to roughly three rounds. The only penalty for missing your opportunity to perform a super move or your opponent blocking your super move is that you will have to deplete an additional health bar before the opportunity reoccurs. Leaving aside the developer’s creative vision, it seems to me that this mechanic is to increase the dramatic flair and feel of the game without requiring higher technical skill. You don’t have to horde resources or time a super move with a specific combo because the game does it for you.
So far, it's shaping up very nicely. When I heard they were making a Bleach arena fighter, I thought they would have cheapened out on it since it's not Dragon Ball or One Piece, but both the visuals and animation look fantastic. I'm also liking its gameplay. Instead of going for a straightforward arena fighter like Sparking Zero, they're instead using aspects of the anime and manga to spice up the formula a bit. Also, props to them for dubbing it, unlike with every One Piece game!
What are you talking about, they always "cheap out" on One Piece games, more than any series in the big 3. We literally haven't gotten a SINGLE good fighting game EVER and probably never will.
@@datboi1319 I'm talking about from a technical pov. One Piece has had some damn good-looking games, from the Pirate Warriors series to Word Seeker and Odyssey, they've all looked good and well-polished.
The 2 flashing bars is most likely indicating how many konpaku you lose if you get hit with a soul destruction attack at that moment. If you deplete the health bar the attack takes away an extra stock so 3 in total. Then if you use bankai your soul destruction takes an extra stock too. So if you deplete health bar and use bankai your attack takes 4 stocks total. You don't see the konpaku bar after the health is depleted so you don't see it but if you did you probably would see 4 bars blinking. or 3 if not in bankai. I assume depleting health bar gives you a free unavoidable gikon attack too. Whereas if you use them raw they hopefully are so easy to avoid. This trailer also shows characters standing on air in the same stage so i was wrong. its not that some stages are set with an invisible floor high in the air. You can go up during the fight somehow. With so much emphasis on transformations for every character orihime really might not be playable. Also that might mean the roster is very small. Hope neither of those is true.

Fell in love and realized(while making amvs) this is how bleach should be, mixed with a Devil May Cry esq type fighting style. This bleach game still reminds me of Heat the Soul on PSP from 2005-6. Dissidia was fun for a little while but got stale after awhile. Than again, sparking zero is coming soon and I will likely be glued to that getting blisters on my fingers.

Exactly what it seems. A lot of people never played heat the soul on psp. It was cool for its time. Minus the chibi looking characters but ahead of its time. Side stepping etc.
Around 12:20 Yes you can see in this gameplay that after Byakuya has awaken the Fighting Spirit bar(Awaken bar) keeps building up, so this means that they can keep growing, but we still don't know what makes it grow, it look like damaging Ichigo make it change, but we don't know exactly how it works, it's probably the state of you Konpaku(Lives) plus whatever percentage increase while you do damage to your opponent or are damage by them.
Haven’t actually watched globkus analysis yet. But my thoughts and takes from this is wow, it looks amazing. So the konpaku truthfully is either health bars, lives or rounds. If you look at the top white bar below the Konpaku gauge you can see that it goes down when being attacked. That is the health bar. So it’s traditional in that sense. But it seems the Konpaku is actual the amount of Health bars the character has strangely enough. The game looks really good, fluid combos really solid attack animations and my god this gives me straight up Sparking Zero vibes with the aesthetic with a small hint of guilty gear in its presentation. I am really looking forward to seeing more of this!
So one thing I noticed is if you take 9 lives, and subtract by 3 that's 3 'rounds', but if you subtract by 4 that's still 3 'rounds'. So I wonder if characters will be based around that at all. Like a fast character can drain your life but only takes 1 life at a time, while a chunky character may be slower and less combos but can take 4 or even 5 lives in one go with the right moves. So it'll be a choice of using a 'better' character but needing to go through a full 9 'rounds' or a 'weaker' character that can do it in 2.
You too? Glad I wasn’t the only one. Maybe it will have a dlc for that mode, or a tournament/dungeon type of deal. 🤞 Hopefully this doesn’t fail us. Reminds me of the pSp bleach game tho honestly.
Anyone played Fighter's Destiny on the N64? It's basically the same thing. HP bar and each time you deplete the bar, the opponent is in a dizzy phase where, depending on the move, you can take up to 4 stars (points). First player to reach 7 stars wins the match. It's a really fun game to play and it plays a bit more like Tekken
It sounds like the sum of all the previous Bleach into a new Bleach fighting game. Have you played Heat the Soul and Versus Crusade? I am hyped and want to let them cook. This game will be delicious!
Around 5:25 So according to some research i made, if you use a Soul Break, you take more Konpaku(lives) out of your opponent, and the more you use the Soul Brake to break the Konpaku the more damage it does, and this has to be done when Now or Never appears on the screen.
I got Dissidia vibes. Reishi is your Brave. Destroying it gives you a big advantage over your opponent and you can begin dealing direct damage to their HP (Konpaku). Looking at it like I'm looking at Dissidia is how I'm trying to understand it.
Konpaku is just soul soul translated literally but with different context. Kon is the soul that travels to the afterlife, Paku is the soul that returns to the earth to join the cycle again. It's basically the combination of reincarnation and afterlife concepts bleach often uses.
The comparison to Dissidia is really apt. I put many hours into Dissidia Duodecim, because the battle system was simple to get into, but had complexity to it as well and a real "slow and steady vs betting it all on one big move" flow to it. I don't mind these fighting games that try to divert from the norm, implementing shields instead of HP or be point-based, as long as they're fun. Dissidia was fun because landing lots of Bravery Attacks actively put your opponent at a disadvantage; meanwhile in JJK Cursed Clash, you could wail on the opponent with normal attacks all you want but only HP attacks will do significant change on the opponent. Bleach Rebirth of Souls seems to be leaning more into the Dissidia flow stated above and I'm looking forward to seeing more.
If I had to break it down individually then it would be something like this You have 4 basic skills (tied to probably holding a trigger or shoulder button). 2 skills are offensive based and 2 are utility based (it’s seems all characters might have the same utility skills since Flash Step in Bleach is an ability everyone can use even if the names are different like Sonido and Flash Step appears to be a super dash and Reverse Action seems to be an universal action). Offensive skills are tied to the yellow meter and it builds by doing basic attacks and it starts are zero. Utility skills are tied to the white meter with Reverse next to it and it’s always full but using those skills drains it. Reversal Action seems to drain it a lot and Reversal Action could be a boost mode or You have 1 super move that can deal a significant amount of Konpaku stocks which could be influenced maybe. And lastly you have basic attacks and combos. Whether the game uses 1 button or 2 or even 3 for basic attacks is still yet to be seen. But they seem to show both Ichigo and Byakuya in their base forms using a solid amount of attacks that aren’t their offensive skills so you seem to have a decent amount of basic attack options. I can assume we have a guard button and guard is tied to a meter of course. Not shown in this trailer or breakdown but it seems all characters have a counter move or there is an universal counter mechanic. There appears to be side stepping and the movement mechanics seem more grounded and less highly mobile like Storm or Sparking (but not enough to be shown). And then you have Evolutions which are Awakenings more so than Storm these might drastically change the Moveset of every character. They seem to run on a meter seemingly so the mode could run out. Seems they’re tied to your health or Konpoku stocks. It seems the focus of the combat is fight, do combos to build your offense meter to use offensive skills (since they deal a shit load of damage) and carefully manage your Reverse meter to use your utility or reserve skills well them effectively. Blocking and counters are apart of the equation. Build up your super move (not sure how you do that) to remove a lot of Konpaku damage. Go Evolution if health or Konpaku stocks is low. Seems like a solid back and forth style combat loop. It will boils down to how balanced the mechanics, how the combat and movement feels, and the variety of options and most importantly how good is the online and the features it offers.
I have a theorie about the reishi (life) bar. The long bar is the current reishi life in use, which is your health bar, the other two bars which blink orange are full health bars in play as well, so in total you are playing in the first round with ichigo and byakuya on a 3 hp bar in place. As you mentioned, when you power up with your bankai, you gain the possiblity to take an additional health bar down on defeat. With that in mind, here are my uneducated guesses about the reishi bar situation. 1. There will be different types like speed, power, defense and so on 2. Each type will start with different konpaku (life) values. For example. Defense type will have 12 bars while speed type only will have 6 or 8. 3. Depending on the character type, you will take away more or less life bars from your enemy in exchange for risking more or less konpaku on each of your defeats Final wild conclusion. There will be some kind of balancing rule in place where one type can take down one or two of your lifes away fast but also loses a higher count of lifes on each defeat. But that would be some wild mechanic stuff there, so i suggest it will be decided by RNJesus about how much you lose each fight :D Let me know what you guys think about my written fever dream. And as always, my accent is hard kicking and it needs some correction, so feel free to do so :)
I think the orange blinking lives are the ones that your opponent loses if you just deplete the health bar normally and the reason Byakuya lost 3 is because his health bar was depleted by a special. I think the Bankai we see later that take 4 do that because they're supers, which would logically take 4 if normals take 2 and specials take 3.
I REALLY like it to be honest. It's actually much more straightforward than what I was fearing: You start with an HP bar and 9 Lives. Every time you knock down your rival's HP, you also deplete a number of their lives that varies depending on the last attack used. Since there were usually 2 flashing orange "stocks" for most of the fight, I'd say that's what you normally take away if you knock your rival down with a plain normal attack, with 3 being what you take away if you use a Special attack instead (since there was always a little cinematic move shown in the trailer at those moments). Now, when you Awaken, 3 stocks now flash orange on your rival's side, showing that now you take a minimum of 3 lives per regular knockdown, and a whooping 4 if you used a cinematic/Special attack, in addition to (I assume) dealing extra HP damage as well. That's all I gathered both from your analysis and from the trailer itself, and I really hope it is the case because it makes SO much sense that way. (Also yeah they made it all look more complicated than it really is by throwing in those untranslated terms for no reason. I may have understood them, but that's not for being Bleach fan, but because I'm a Bleach NERD 😂)
Honestly the game is not that bad it's actually decent the problem is the graphics in a lot of people are mad that they can't get a whole bunch of combo potential which doesn't make sense for a 2 v 2 game

Drawing inspiration from that concept, we set reishi as a health gauge in the game, and players can break the konpaku to decrease reishi," he added." We introduced systems that allow players to experience reversals such as breaking konpaku with a single strike or enhancing power through transformations to facilitate breaks.”
Everything else is just IGN giving their own analysis of the game.
I like that characters get stronger as the battle rages on. It feels like the anime because you can't just start out in your strongest form you gotta work up to it.

i think at 8:48, the reason why Ichigo loses 4 bars is because the orange represent how many they would lose if hit by a special. And Ichigo's "hp" was really low, so it possibly took another bar because the meter was so close to being empty
No, I think it shaved 4 away because Byakuya hit his konpaku with Senkei.
Good catch
thats exactly why, i think the video is poorly edited cus the points where they break to do a special is cut from different gameplay because byakuya and ichigo dont have meter when that break happens so my guess is that you can deplete the bar that removes 1 then they go into a break state and you can spend meter to do more konpaku dmg thats why the number of konpaku lost is always 1 more than the glowing orange shows because its not counting the one you break through fighting
Man got caught not even knowing basic Bleach terms and then thinks they are made up words crazy.

Reishi and konpaku are common words in the anime at least in the first 100 episodes
Man has 0 clue about the Bleach lore and world building.
Good analysis 👍🏻
What until bro finds out what a hogyoku is
I'm guessing it's something where you can use Super Special Moves to take away your opponent's "Konpaku" (Lives/Stocks) regardless of their "Reishi" (HP), and you can reduce their "Reishi" to stun them and unleash a special move to eliminate a large amount of their "Konpaku"
I forget what this game reminds me of, but there have been a few similar fighting games back in the day where damage isn't always the best path to victory

- Pretty straight forward

Lol, jk
Nobody talking about how we have battle damage confirmed lol.
@@BramTheDemon I mean if we're talking purely aesthetics, I guess...
They aren’t making up words Glob. Those are words directly taken from the series. Reishi means Spiritual Pressure and Konpaku means Soul

Around 12:20 Yes you can see in this gameplay that after Byakuya has awaken the Fighting Spirit bar(Awaken bar) keeps building up, so this means that they can keep growing, but we still don't know what makes it grow, it look like damaging Ichigo make it change, but we don't know exactly how it works, it's probably the state of you Konpaku(Lives) plus whatever percentage increase while you do damage to your opponent or are damage by them.
these anime games are looking incredible visual wise recently
"making up words" truly dub bleach enjoyer right here
Haven’t actually watched globkus analysis yet.
I was hoping for a devil may cry style bleach game, but this looks good! But... I'm keeping my expectations low bc I don't wanna get disappointed

Fighters destiny was my shit. Wish they would make a 3rd one
Stop disrespecting Jonny Young Bosh. The dub is awesome!
“Maybe masked ichigo is a step above..” bro didn’t watch till the end.
L take man. Don’t leave a review if you’ve never watched or read the anime/manga
I think the “now or never” is gonna be something like if you miss it you will only take one stock from your opponent
I got Dissidia vibes. Reishi is your Brave. Destroying it gives you a big advantage over your opponent and you can begin dealing direct damage to their HP (Konpaku). Looking at it like I'm looking at Dissidia is how I'm trying to understand it.
This game looks so fun to play, I'm so excited to get my hands on it whenever it comes out!
im gonna have fun with it tbh
If I had to break it down individually then it would be something like this
You have 4 basic skills (tied to probably holding a trigger or shoulder button). Reversal Action seems to drain it a lot and Reversal Action could be a boost mode or
You have 1 super move that can deal a significant amount of Konpaku stocks which could be influenced maybe.
Rebirth of Souls HUD/UI is Awesome and Stylish Big and the gameplay is mindblowing Peak can't wait to play the Bleach Console Fighters.
1. There will be different types like speed, power, defense and so on
2. Each type will start with different konpaku (life) values. For example. Defense type will have 12 bars while speed type only will have 6 or 8.
3. Depending on the character type, you will take away more or less life bars from your enemy in exchange for risking more or less konpaku on each of your defeats
Final wild conclusion. There will be some kind of balancing rule in place where one type can take down one or two of your lifes away fast but also loses a higher count of lifes on each defeat.
But that would be some wild mechanic stuff there, so i suggest it will be decided by RNJesus about how much you lose each fight :D
Let me know what you guys think about my written fever dream. And as always, my accent is hard kicking and it needs some correction, so feel free to do so :)
Please bandai let this game be good
Bandai is just the publisher
I think the orange blinking lives are the ones that your opponent loses if you just deplete the health bar normally and the reason Byakuya lost 3 is because his health bar was depleted by a special. I think the Bankai we see later that take 4 do that because they're supers, which would logically take 4 if normals take 2 and specials take 3.
I REALLY like it to be honest. It's actually much more straightforward than what I was fearing:
You start with an HP bar and 9 Lives.
I think the orange bars are how many lives have to be taken until you can get into your next awakening stage
