iOS 18.3 has transformed the battery life on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. It’s so dramatic, I’m convinced there has been an issue with the 15 series phones (which introduced a new form of battery optimization when they launched with iOS 17) power and battery management the entire time in iOS 18. It’s been corrected. My battery life is, at minimum, 50% improved. No placebo, it’s well documented in the 10 day battery charts.
Yeah on my iPhone 15 pro everything work great only issue is sometime have to exit app cause can’t regular swipe and exit with apps like telegram etc and a lil buggy here and there but overall isn’t bad for iOS 18.2
it definitely has a more pronounced delay over a Bluetooth device. My wife’s Apple Watch 9 takes a ridiculous amount of time. These are all updated to the latest non beta release.
I wouldn't be surprised that iOS 19.x will be mostly stability updates, since iOS 18 will introduce the Apple Intelligence functionality. iOS 19 may allow third party app stores, a third-party web browser and even third-party NFC payment access worldwide by default.
@@jamiw1 not really. Google Chrome for iOS now is essentially a “wrapper” around the WebKit page layout engine used by Safari. I mean in iOS 18 you can actually have your own page layout engine for the web browser.
I’m on 18.2 with a 16 Pro and I’ve turned Apple Intelligence off. The way I use my phone I found that Siri works better for me without the AI turned on. With AI turned on asking to listen to a song, send a text, or make a phone call(especially on CarPlay) I was getting descriptive answers rather than the task being initiated.
THANK YOU for the List View tip for the Mail app. The new way it worked caused me to miss important emails in the last few weeks, causing all sorts of problems. I thought I was going to have to redo how I handle emails completely. Whew! Thank you 100x.

After almost 15 months, my 15 Pro Max has gone down to 99% battery capacity. I personally haven’t had many issues with iOS 18 except I’ve been noticing with Spotify the album artwork doesn’t appear on the lock screen or the Dynamic Island randomly. I’m currently on 18.2.
On the 18.2 final release, I have dealt with the flashlight bug a lot. I’ve also had a lot of problems with the camera feed taking a long time to show up after I open the camera app. Updating to the 18.3 public beta now.
iOS 18.2, iPhone 16 Pro Max here - I’m having this issue where if I do speech to text a few times within quick succession, it might just stop working completely. The button presses but nothing registers. I have to restart the phone to get it to work again. Has been happening ever since iOS 18.2 update.
Hey you actually can remove the icons. Go to settings, apps, mail, the you will see a toggle to turn contact icons on or off which takes the Mail icons off or on whichever you prefer. Hope this helps!
One thing that happens to me and I have not heard about and if anyone else has this issue when I say Hey Siri and the light flashes and I ask my question she just goes back like she never heard me. Once in awhile it makes the chime sound but when I ask the question it just goes away. I am beyond ticked off about this. Is there ideas why iPhone 16 Pro Max
I had that issue. It turned out it was because I was connected to Bluetooth headphones. So when I ask hey siri she lit up but the audio got transferred to the headphones which is why she would go away like she never heard me
Not sure when it happened, but sometime during or after the release of iOS and iPadOS 18 Apple has quietly removed the "get verification code" button from the system settings. You can no longer get 2fa codes on demand for your Apple account, it has to come in automatically during a sign-in attempt. This means if, for whatever reason, you are not receiving the code, you have no choice but to fall back on SMS, you cannot manually generate a verification code.
I was having major problems with memory usage and overheating on iPhone 14 PM,on iOS 18.2 until I found the problem. RUclips was auto downloading every video I watched. I went into RUclips settings and stopped auto / smart downloads and deleted all downloads that it already had made just under 1/2 a terabyte of downloads!!! My phone had been reaching temperatures of 108 F….
Since iOS 18.3 I have trouble with the wireless Apple CarPlay in my car, when I connect my iPhone 16 pro with iOS 18.3 to my wireless CarPlay over the onboard WiFi, it disconnects my cellular data and it stop working, when I use the usb-c cable to connect CarPlay, it works fine with cellular data and I can use my streaming services…….
Brandon Butch just changed his title about 18.3 from “exciting” to “strange” due to comment backlash as it just wasn’t true and he didn’t mention exciting features. Perhaps you should change your “fantastic” to something honest and not click-baity because viewers are getting annoyed. He also changed it to 18.2 instead of 18.3 as that is more relevant for his video.
I have a weird bug with my home screens. For some reason apps see to remove themselves from the screens but not delete completely so I’m having to put them back fairly regularly. Not sure if this is only me but it’s been an issues since IOS 18.

selfie cam on low light absolutely destroys every detail i was able to see before taking the picture. immediately after taking it, it blurs it like oil painting. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN MENTIONED. ITS NOT A FEATURE IF IT DOWNGRADES

I have the random restart problem w/ 16 pro max. Replaced the phone - still random restarts, wiped and restored ~ still random restarts. Every solution tried and still random restarts. Went to Apple and they claimed it was a problem with my backup - saying it was corrupted and that I needed to wipe the phone, and allow them to reinstall the software and OS from scratch. And I would not be allowed to restore from backup. I had to redownload all my apps, re-login into them all, find and re-add contacts , etc. Biggest pain in the ass and it took forever. So after all that ~ I STILL have random restarts (so I went through that “no restore from backup hell” for nothing. Now they want me to go to the Apple Store and have them replace the hardware inside the actual phone. I’d love for you to do a video on this problem as Apple is typically downplaying the issue which I know is a lot more common then they’re acknowledging. I always know the restart problem is coming because the phone starts to get even a bit warm and boom … restarts start happening. Anyone have a solution? Thank you!
To everyone who installed ios 18.2 -18.3, go to settings and reset all settings. I am having bug on keyboard and this workaround fixed everything. My ip15 pro max is smooth and much better now.
I have never had my iPhone 16 Pro Max restart like I said for the most part that dynamic island is about the only thing that gets in my way, but pretty much it’s stable so but it’s really solid for me so far

My biggest gripe is when I’m using voice to text in iMessage. I press the microphone button and it’s a huge delay before it dings to start speaking.

Another problem I had with Apple Intelligence on, for some reason, I was still stuck with old Siri.
The Speech to text is something I have used for years and recently the improvement's are amazing cant wait for next years updates.

I’m still experiencing a bug with Mail. Notification Sounds no longer work, as well as Push. I only receive emails when I open the open the app.

To set the mail app back to default. 1. Set mail to “list view” in the mail app itself. 2 turn off “show contact photos” under settings>apps>mail
You can get rid off the contact photos on the mail app, go to the settings of mail app on iPhone, then turn off show contact photo, that’s it.

Yup happens to me but only when I use tinted app icons, switch to dark icons and the issue disappears.

It’s an Apple enhancement they apply to all photos taken in low light. You can’t disable it on any of the «Pro» cameras.
