    I think the big thing is Ian seems to have lost his sense of humor. You can grow up and still have fun. If you look at Max, Chad, or Frank, they've evolved as people but don't carry vitriol for the people they use to rub shoulders with. They appreciate the fondness people have for their old content while making new stuff that people genuinely enjoy. Peoples biggest gripe seems to come down to Ian taking himself to seriously now.

    Most people don't want to be preached to by a guy whose just trying to fit in with his new LA friends. I think the problem with the narrative of IDubbbz as an “edgy teenager” is that the content cop, hard-r n-word days weren’t back when he was a teen; he was in his late twenties. It wasn’t a youthful blunder from which he has “grown up”, he was a fully formed adult man when he made those videos.
    I also think the whole “holier-than-thou” attitude he has about the situation is strange. It’s like he views himself as better than all his fans because he, and he alone, has grown away from saying a bunch of slurs. On the one hand, that alienates everyone who did the exact same stuff he did, while also seeming like an insufficient apology or excuse to people who always thought IDubbbz was fucked up for saying those things. Who is supposed to be on his side? Not his old, edgy fans; not his new, “””woke””” fans (for lack of a better term); nor his handful of fans who, like him, have grown and stopped being as edgy as he used to be. He’s judgmental and thinks he’s better than everyone who used to support him, and at the same time is so sensitive to any criticism he’s become like the people he used to make fun of.

      I think you hit the nail on the head here. His ego’s joined forces with his persistent foot-in-mouth syndrome, and it does not look good from any perspective. Being thin-skinned after a career of mocking people still looks hypocritical even if you do a whole apology tour.

    Furthermore, Froggy joked that if he lost to Chris Ray Gun, he'd subscribe to Anita's OF. Ian already said he was totally cool with his wife's OF in his video about it, so for him to take action on it now makes him a massive hypocrite and proves that it actually does make him very upset.

      @@Maxisamo1 Absolutely not, I gave appropriate context.
      From Ian's point of view, Froggy was being combative and disrespectful, but a reasonable person looking at the text messages would see that Froggy was stating his clear intentions.
      To paraphrase, the text messages went like this-
      Ian: Hey, I hear you're working with Sam Hyde. Are you doing that?
      Froggy: Yes.
      Ian: I don't like Sam because of x, x, and x.
      Froggy: Okay.
      Ian: I really really don't like Sam.
      Froggy: Okay, am I going to be kicked out if I work with him?

      Froggy: Please don't play games and just tell me yes or no, I don't want to throw away my work.
      Ian: I guess you can.
      Froggy: Great.
      It is not disrespectful to demand a clear answer to a clear question when it comes to business.
      It is clear to any reasonable onlooker that iDubbbz acted out of emotion, because he would have just given a clear "if you work with Sam, you're off the card" rather than a wishy-washy "please don't do this to me and my wife" bull.

      Yes, for full professionalism, Ian should have been crystal clear, no misunderstanding possible. But Froggy should have also been able to take OBVIOUS hints to chill and stop promoting the dude who got banned from the event until after your fight, and maybe not talk shit about the profession one of the head organizers is a part of.
      Not to mention he straight-up lied about how "no one reached out to me"

    • @Ray-mj5mj
      @Ray-mj5mj Год назад +4

      @@Maxisamo1 Perhaps you are unaware, because iDubbbz only included clips of Froggy being directly disrespectful that occurred after he had banned him from the event.
      Why would Froggy be respectful of someone that had no respect for him? He doesn't owe iDubbbz that, and iDubbbz used it as evidence that Froggy was an asshole. To my knowledge, Froggy was never directly disrespectful of iDubbbz or Anisa until after he was kicked.
      The one clip I am aware of that could be interpreted as disrespectful is the one I mentioned: that Froggy would subscribe to Anisa's OnlyFans if he lost to Chris. This is not remotely disrespectful, and on the contrary, it's supportive of sexworkers because it's directly supporting sexworkers with money. The only reason iDubbbz or Anisa would find that disrespectful is because they thought he was making fun of them, but on its face, he wasn't. Even if he was, iDubbbz said that he was cool with people subscribing to it, so then having problems with it at all makes him a massive hypocrite.
      Hints have no place in business when asked direct questions such as Froggy did, and iDubbbz should absolutely have cleaned his hands of Froggy by being completely clear instead of trying to puppetmaster his way into getting Froggy to do what he wanted. This should be all that you need to know that iDubbbz is himself being disingenuous and never intended to allow someone associating with Sam to be a part of his event, which then resulted in Chris Ray Gun getting the shit beat out of him.
      To your point about how Froggy claimed "no one reached out to him," iDubbbz himself claimed that the team emailed Froggy several times, but he suspiciously did not even bother to show it as evidence in his response video. It would have been so easy to show an email reaching out to Froggy, but it was not included, which makes me suspect that they never happened as Froggy claims.

He instead beat around the bush with the situation up to the point Froggy started talking with Sam, and even then in the text messages he shows he continues to beat around the bush with Froggy and never gives him a concrete answer, until he kicked him from the card. So this whole situation could have been avoided if Ian would have just put his foot down on the whole Sam Hyde situation. The text messages show very accurately what happened; Froggy worked with Sam, Iain had previously said not to, and Iain decided okay, well I guess we just to deal with this since we've already gotten him as a participant, and then Froggy KEPT POKING THE BEAR, OVER AND OVER AGAIN after that.
      So sorry, but Idubbbz did put his foot down, just Froggy wasn't happy that he had to follow rules in a very rule-heavy situation.

    • @WhoWantsCake0
      @WhoWantsCake0 Год назад +2

      Exactly my thoughts.
      He missed the discrepency of Froggy receiving paperwork threating a lawsuit and Ian not mentioning that in his video. The fact that Harley of Epic Meal Time was trained by Hyde for the first Creator Clash and didn't get banned for that "association" but when Froggy does it suddenly it's a no go. Didn't mention Anisa claiming she had a "background" in kinesiology/athlete training when she had only taken a few semesters worth of classes on the subject.
      Just feels like a low effort summary of the drama without much actual research. Either put in the work to learn all the details or don't do the video.
      I would have preferred another memeloaf over Sumito's poorly formed opinion piece on the internet's weekly drama and I'm sure lots of other viewers would agree

He is childish but worse he is a hypocrite. He finds himself in quite the pickle because he basically trained his audience to see through the smoke and mirrors of internet personalities and spot the truth so his fan base isn't just bending over and taking it when he says "I'm super duper sorry that I don't say the N word anymore but I'm a better person now" and of course will continue his slimy actions once more.
