EY More Old World Blues! Thanks once again, the perks of you knowing snip-bits of Fallout Lore and thus far rather knowing of HOI4. For me a wonderful Combo to watch.
I know all th elore! (not really, but I played Fallout twice, Fallout 2 probably 5 to 7 times, Fallout Tactics three times, Fallout 3 twice, Fallout 4 twice and Fallout New Vegas 2738736529 times.
Malpais Legate is the title Caesar gave to Joshua Graham, I wonder if someone else took his name or if he somehow didn't get bbq'd after Hoover Dam in your timeline.
Of all the factions in OWB the one I personally enjoyed the most was Lone Star. Rebuilding Texas from the ground up was a real test but a fun one nonetheless.
Hi, enjoying the playthrough of this wonderful mod, one of my favorite mods in HOI if not my favorite. I also enjoy the longer video format of it as it shows the full scale and events of the mod. An interesting path and somewhat more difficult nation (since you said the NCR starts off strong as it does) is the Texan Brotherhood. The focus and lore is really interesting as the focus tree goes down the reformation of the state of Texas as whole after an entire debacle with surrounding Texan alliances. I hope you read this and I would love to see you take interest in this nation as it's one of the lesser known ones, anyways love the playthroughs of this amazing mod keep up the great work.
24:00 not something in OWB but the Minutemen are argueably the only good faction in the Fallout lore. They don't discriminate against ghouls, only want to help the people (at a minutes notice), and actively help people to rebuild the wasteland. Sure they aren't the most powerful but that changes with (presumably) the canon ending of FO4 (Minutemen and BOS survive) when they become as powerful as you wish. Gotta have some light in the dark of the wastes
@@Taureor joke answer? minutemen = settlements = cool builds Real answer? FO games seem to have the least bad ending be canon and given that the institute are one of the evilest factions in the franchise I can’t see them being the true ending. The brotherhood gets a pass despite not being the best since they’re Bethesdas favourite
definitely do Enclave reborn. In the older versions it was incredibly indepth and fun, haven't played it since then but I guess they only really improved it. Also your subjects are getting their autonomy through war effort
Troll Warren is an excellent choice to play as and form “New Mariposa”. Or, Shales Army/Ironmongers (behemoths with shale, tanks with ironmongers, they both get access to intermediate aircraft as well).
I played this a bunch recently and tried out the Enclave Reborn mod with Enclave Reborn + or whatever it's called and I have to say it was ***excellent***. I loved the writing in it and there were a lot of new mechanics and things to do. I really, really, really loved it.
This mod is incredibly cool. Not only is its OC content really cool and fitting in the lore, this mod is full of deep cuts. For example the entire Washington Brotherhood War along with the Cause is all from Fallout Extreme (a planned fallout game that died really early) and the Slthanter were cut Fallout 1 NPCs. This mod deserved to surpass Kaiserreich so its well worth the celebration.
Tlalocan (or however it was called, the big nation in Mexico) is also really fun. To not spoil too much - its an AI at the end of its life, and it will split into three separate nations
i recomend the enclave reborn + plus mod it expands on the already great submod but expands the paths for more late game fun, the navada path isnt done too often and was recently updated would be a change from the normal america or purist rout that are so common :) btw love your vids realy helpfull
Enclave reborn sounds and looks good but it kept crashing for me on load - said some map details were wrong :( I have the latest HOI4 but without By Blood Alone, maybe that's why?
I've always found The Twin Mothers(they are just above Laniu's cohort at the start you can find them as an interesting nation pick in the Texas focused start screen) as an interesting pick. Their focus tree has some interesting directions. and if you lose their big main war they end up re-spawning so you can try again.
It feels like the mod really needs to make the NCR's debuffs more severe. The NCR should start the game already creaking under its own weight and barely able to hold on to their extant territory.
I think the next mod you try should be Equestria at War. Incredibly in depth mod similar to Old War Blues in a way. Very fun, it one of the most popular mods for a reason
Really digging this mod lately, I cant wait to see what gets filled in next. I am hoping I can do a game based out of St. Louis, maybe revive the French culture there and spread it across the wasteland..... forcefully.
15:38 it is weird the Shi don't have power armor troops. In FO2 they were one of the only factions with PA, and even had enough to outright *SELL* it to the Chosen One.
@@Almirante1741 that doesn't seem right, the dog support has the most suppression and is cheap to build. Enforcers take a big investment. And if the unit is small (1 militia), then there is a larger percentage of dogs in garrisons overall
Would absolutely love to see you go for a New Vegas playthrough, Taureor. I think it would make for interesting content for if you're getting burned out on hearts of iron. It would be really interesting to see you go for a mass effect run-through too - I remember your earlier lore videos on that were grand.
The reason that your puppets got autonomy was because you had too many of them. You gain a national spirit which increases puppet autonomy if you have a lot of them, but I think it also gives you -5% consumer goods, I am not 100% sure though.
You should consider reading more of the text for the focuses, they do a lot for flavor and worldbuilding especially when you're at least a little familiar with Fallout Lore.
The ammount of industrial technology you need to research seems kinda odd given that it's a very big part of New Vegas that the NCR already uses concrete and on such a large scale that they even set up a lime quarry in the Mojave. And other pretty big part of the game is that the NCR already has a railway system and factories and were planning to build a railway into the Mojave. Like the industrial technology of the NCR is clearly already up to a roughly 1940s level by the time of New Vegas. But I'm guessing it's meant as a balancing thing.
You definitely did not pay attention to some of the focus descriptions. Producing concrete evidence would have been the counter to the attempt to shut down the probe.
I love OWB but all the countries now make it so laggy. You need to use the option to unite the areas of the map you aren't playing unless you got a nice PC
26:17 Seriously, just "The FBI?" it's a running joke that every other quest mod gives the NCR its own FBI or CIA or both, but literally just calling it "The FBI" is absurd.
I recorded two more episodes but decided not edit them, the game was painful to play that late and it was too much to edit foor people to then not watch it
There's something about the interface in this mod which unfortunately makes it very painful for me to look at. No idea what it is but it just hurts my eyes. It's sad really because it seems very interesting otherwise.

Yesterday, I started to play with this mod again, and choose the NCR as well
New Vegas is fun to play
You must do the Lost Hills next, its the ultimate "Invade the entire map" nation and a very unique political power/volunteer system
“It’s big, it’s strong, it’s also a bit corrupt.” When you put it that simply, I realize why the NCR is compared to a bear, just like Russia.
And its military leaders lack talent while their soldiers are under equipped and badly trained.
