- Bree & Jared's Wedding is on the horizon so it's time to spruce up the backyard. Keeping with our campground feel we decided on a locally mined gravel for the courtyard! I love that spending for the wedding is on long term improvements instead of just one day party rentals.
I wonder how many people around the world will be crying tears of joy for Bree & Jared during the wedding video... lol. Especially those who have been around the longest and have watched the kids grow up! We need My Little Homestead tissue packs, please! They can say "Gettin' Hitched" and have a little picture of your mobile getting hitched on the truck!
I love the look on Bree's face when she sees the gravel, she is so happy. Her family have shown her so much love by working together to make her day that much brighter. What an amazing family.❤

One time, someone who definitely wasn’t me, was redoing a small planter. That person who definitely wasn’t me might have grabbed a couple trash bags of gravel from a lot where the city was staging supplies.
That person also got weed cloth from the same spot. Unacceptable..
I mean... If that person who wasn't you was a tax paying citizen, you could almost look at it as if that person (who, again, definitely wasn't you) paid for those supplies.

Homesteaders,
For future reference if you get more gravel delivered, have them dump it on a large tarp if you are moving the gravel from a dump location to a ground location elsewhere. This will ensure you get every bit of gravel you paid for and not leave any in the ground and for the last bit of gravel left on the tarp just fold up the ends of the tarp and make a gravel pile in the middle and use shovels to scoop it up into a wheel barrow or Skidder.

Brees bedroom can be fixed up for the Bride and her Bridal party to get ready in. The color of the stone makes the yard look closer to a pretty reddish/orangey color of clay as opposed to the gray!!!!! It's so beautiful!!!!!
I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see how beautiful the whole set up will be and of course to see how GORGEOUS Bree and Jared will be in their wedding attire, being as they are gorgeous themselves already!!!
You might want to check with the company to see if there is a substance that can be incorporated into the gravel to help "anchor" it to help prevent rains from washing it away or moving most of it to one side of the yard. I was thinking sand might work like it does on a golf green, but I think the roots help keep it from shifting too much, unless it is a specific type of sand??

Next time you're trying to spread that stuff and pulling it backwards just lay your bucket down flat just lay your bucket down flat on the ground and drag backwards don't try to backwards don't try to tilt it and drag backwards tilt it down with the front end tilted down with the front edge of the bucket just set it up straight on the ground and dropped yeah I said it straight on the ground and dragged backwards you might find that it's a little easier to spread the gravel
