Tanjiro is a sun breathing user, all breathing forms take after sun breathing . Since he can do sun breathing , he can technically have an easier time doing all other breathing forms compared to others .

Genya is a normal human being, but he eats the flesh of demons because he does not have a breathing technique in order to be able to fight demons. It is said that in episode 3 of this season, he used demonic spells so that he could heal his wounds faster and gather his strength.

Remember what Senjuro Rengoku said about the sword hilt he gave to Tanjiro in the first ep of season two and then remember who lead Muichiro to the shack and saved Haganezuka so that Tanjiro could get that sword and what saved him. The prophecy has been fulfilled.

Well technically tanjiro should be able to use all other breathing forms..cause every other form is inferior version of sun breathing and was discovered accidentally by trying to practice sun breathing improperly..

Well to explain about nezuko's conditions, it just like her body has create immunity over pass 2 years without consumed a single blood. Like story maze runner over zombie. Luckyly immune and can cure others.

So Genya isn’t a demon in any way shape or form. However, once he consumes a demons flesh he takes on temporary demonic powers such as faster reflexes, stronger muscles and rapid regeneration. It’s not something anybody really knew about until Genya did it because demon slayers despise demons and so the thought of eating one would never cross their mind.
Genya can’t use breathing techniques so he tried something completely outrageous as to eat demon flesh in order to get stronger and not fall behind his peers

so... this is not an spoiler but remember that breathing style are just a way to breath and do swordmanship, there are no power's in it. not real water ,fire or flowers, but they mimic them insted, so when tanjiro use thunder, is just because everyone could (even, at the start they say most people practice water breathing because is the easiest one to learn for new people) and he is always with zenitsu so that help, but that is just a guess.
100% right! She's a sunflower, thus withstood the sun even as a demon!
As for your concern about Genya, it's just his blood is special, once in a lifetime from how many years past.
If you'll observe, those batch who past the exam with Tanjiro have special senses:
1. Tanjiro: sense of smell
2. Zenitsu: sense of hearing
3. Inosuke: sense of touch(well that's why he's always half naked to have active sense in his skin)
4. Genya: sense of..taste😂 in a weird way
5. And the girl in the butterfly hashira mansion, the flower breather, you'll see her full potential, obviously you'll know her sense specialty if you'll guess

About what you guys were saying at around 12:00 min in, I think hes just developing multiple skills due to him having multiple types of training hes went through (former water hashira in season 1 teaching water breathing, and also alll his off screen hinokami practice), along with having amazing in the moment iq/development 😂. Most of them do rly just master the one style that suits them best in the current age of demon slayer it seems though lol.. however now Tanjiros switching things up! Sorta becoming a jack of all trades at the same time as mastering sun breathing!
true2..from what i remember.. you could learn any breathing style actually..just a matter of if u have great affinity at it or not...Tanjirou learn water breathing because Giyu was the first demon slayer he met and was sent to the former water hashira
@eddydash1 Exactly, if tanjiro first met gyomei, hed probably be decently versed in stone breathing instead of water, and same with any other hashira, ofc they prob wouldnt of spared nezuko like giyu but still!
On a side note, a sun breather using gyomeis weapons would be crazy i feel like 😂

Tanjiro uses sun breathing the first breathing ever all the other breathing are branches from it so basically he can do any breathing with some knowledge how to use them

Here's my opinion. If I'm wrong please, kindly correct me ♡ also, please don't read it. Possible spoiler alert⚠️
So, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the strongest slayer and the creator of breathing techniques. As known, he was also born with the mark, he even withstood the power of the mark and lived till the age of 80. As we know from the manga, (once again, spoiler alert ⚠️ 📢) Yoriichi's wife died while she was pregnant. So, he hadn't had a child. But (also, I don't know the details myself, so please. Correct me.)
But, he knew a family. The Kamado family. (Not Tanjuro and Kie. Their ancestors (not good at English so idk))
Yoriichi, after (I think) fighting with Muzan and failing to kill him, visited the Kamado family.
Tho, Tanjiro is not a descendant of Yoriichi Tsukiguni. Tanjiro is the descendant of someone who knew Yoriichi personally and was a good friend of his as well. Sumiyoshi was rescued by Yoriichi when a demon threatened his life. Since then Yoriichi often met him and they became close acquaintances.
Sumiyoshi, shares a striking resemblance to Tanjiro. Sumiyoshi had a wife and a child.
Upon seeing the child and after picking her(or him) up and seeing their bright smile, Yoriichi remembered his wife who was now dead. And his unborn child.
From then, he decided to show Sumiyoshi The dance of the fire God as Tanjuro called it. Yoriichi showed Sumiyoshi the dance, every technique that the sun breathing had and entrusted the earings to him. The earrings that Tanjiro is wearing to this day.
And well, as sick as Tanjuro, Tanjiro's father was, he still performed the dance. Continued the tradition and taught Tanjiro. Later, entrusted the earings to Tanjiro.
Tanjiro is able to perform the Hinokami Kagura dance. Or just the sun breathing because of that.
He was taught the water breathing, which is the basic breathing style by Urokodaki. As Tanjiro trained more and more, he learned many things. How to control his breathing, total concentration and so on. That's how he can also use the sun breathing.
And well, the thunder breathing that he used in this episode, he had to just use his legs muscles only. Put all his strength there and just push.

Blue Spider Lily was necessary to an extent, but the anime cut it out. Also, it was not magic, but through Nezuko's own efforts and actions all leading up to this naturally. Also, they will mention again
