Another great video, and that tial does sound great compared to the OEM. Nobody runs those in Australia that I've seen but could be worth ordering one to try out.
I have the QR on my 9 and after I went speed density, I was too lazy to buy the Q version for VTA so we just disconnected the recirculation hose and it performs and sounds awesome. Recently tried swapping the Q base and did not sound anywhere as good so I swapped back to the QR base and left it VTA as before.
I've got the tial on my SD converted evo 8. Yours sounds like it's fluttering at part throttle which means the spring may be set too low on your application. It'll only make a difference when you start boosting more psi and it can't hold the boost. My old Forge DV sounded exactly the same

Although, in this video you said you thought this evo had a boost leak but instead you found out that there was a crack on the vacuum hose... Just wondering what was it doing ? Like how did you know something was wrong with it. Just asking because I'm suspecting I'm either having a boost leak or might be something else...

I was wondering tho, I have a efr turbo that has a crv nipple that needs to connect to the intake manifold so I’m thinking keep that line hooked up to the turbo and just have to use a two T connectors to connect the bov and my boost gauge to it. Figured bov closer to the intake manifold and boost gauge closer to the turbo. Let me know what you think, thanks!

I have an aftermarket air intake with open filter, but I was planning on buying the takeda cold air intake. Which would enclose the filter back up into a box. Would I still be able to hear BOV with that closed set up?
Closed box set ups typically trap that turbo spool noise and with a recirculating bov same deal. Only if you had a open atmosphere bov would you hear it
Mario Fernandez it’s a release valve that only opens one way and it recirculates back into the intake so the other way it would trap it and not release the pressure

Stm has a chart for tial springs based on how much vacuum your car pulls while in gear and off throttle, meaning you'd be around -24 which would be the 12 psi spring. Flutter is fine in vacuum, flutter on boost means compressor surge which can ruin your turbo. I went thru all of that during/after tuning my 8, but i have the Tial Q and speed density so it's Vta

SpikeyBoy sound cool, ams makes a kit with the hks. Pricing for that kit is double the price needing new lower piping to use it when the tial qr you can use on stock piping oil this one but can also be used with the big turbo it’s too
Little late to the topic here but I'm swapping out my HKS BOV for Tial QR. The HKS sounds amazing but they tend to have boost leaks and fluttering issues. Very fun BOV, but not worth the trouble.

reading on forums and fb groups and people say you only run 6lb spring for bolt ons to mid 400hp

I T No tune needed! Just a release valve, holds pressure more efficiently and sounds way better

If you get a BOV for your car, you would need to get your evo retuned. You have to tune it to the BOV otherwised it'd just drop your HP
