Nice idea for feeder
Great pigs.
Great winter weather for February. Below zero here in Wisconsin
Just had a litter born in this weather. A heat lamp in a cold barn and their doing great.
Always a pleasure and honour learning from you Jordan
Thank you Good Sir
Much appreciated
Yessss! A video on the feeder. Been following and waiting for so long. Awesome video and farm setup.
Lovely stuff!
The feeders look fascinating! Keep it up!
Great job Jordan!
Good job, good movie, great approach to breeding pigs, greetings from Poland.
Hey I love how you have progressed from the electric fence with grass present idea to the winter reality that butts that straight in the face! Pig life is real, brother! Thanks for the amazing vids! I love the relentless "tweaking."
@Jude Samuel Ehh I use flixportal. Just search on google for it=) -alaric
@Alaric Finn Thanks, I went there and it seems to work =) I really appreciate it !
@Jude Samuel Happy to help =)
Love it, very ingenious.
Nice feeder!!!
Any chance you can do a video on feed? What you use and how you make it?
I'll put it on the list.
2nd that, would be keen to know
We were hoping for that too! Thanks for asking!
When do you think you will show the build for the Gen 3 IBC feeder? These are great videos. Thanks
soon hopefully.
Do you still use the tire feeders too?
How do you move the feeder? By forks, chains or loading into a skid stear bucket.
Forks.
We have an IBC that was on the property when we bought it, but I don't know what was in it. Should I be worried whether it would be safe to put feed in?
Wash it out good and likely it'll be fine. Of course not knowing what was in it is a concern. Any labels on it?
@@FarmBuilder only a very faded partial, not enough to identify.
Most chemicals will break down in sunlight. If its a clear one that has been outside for a few years give it a good wash and it should be fine
How and to who do you market your finished pigs? Thanks Jordan
We're a direct to retail farm. We have an on farm store, deliver in state and ship nation wide.
You can check us out at www.jlgreenfarm.com
Where's the ibc feeder video? I can't seem to find it.
It's in editing now
I'm going to be investing in a grain bin this year. My neighbor wants to sell a 12 ton for 2 grand that's in great shape. It's double what we need, but it's cheaper than anything I've found thats an appropriate size. I'd be interested to hear folks opinions on this. Think it's a mistake to buy an over size bin?
Sounds perfect. Grow into it!
Im curious on how your demand for pork is doing during this era?
Higher than "normal", less than it was april-june of 2020.
Do you castrate your pigs? If so, why?
We do for several reasons. Boar taint is real. Segregating males from females is inefficient. Our piglet buyers demand castrated males. Most USDA processors won't butcher boars under inspection for retail sale.
You act as though you were a Marine who had to figure out a way to make things work. OH WAIT, YOU WERE!
