Your card is absolutely beautiful! I have just bought some gilding flakes and I am going to see if I can create something even close to this. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you so much Cindy!!! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment too ☺️ I really appreciate it! Have fun playing with your gilding flakes!!! I'm sure you will create some beautiful cards 🩷
You're very welcome ☺️ thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment and subscribing too! I'm so glad it's encouraged you to dig them out and have a go!
Another gorgeous card! I think the effect of gilding flakes is a lot more artistic and sophisticated than foiling would be, especially for this lovely stamp, and especially because you took the trouble to be selective which colour flakes you were picking out for different areas. Thank you!
Thank you so much Susan ☺️ I agree, I think the gilding flakes add a character that embossing and foiling can't add in the same way. Different techniques for different finishes though. I love the fact I can use the flakes without needing another machine. ☺️ thank you for watching again and thank you so much for leaving me a lovely comment. I really appreciate it ☺️
That artwork is gorgeous! You don’t see carmakers using these gold flakes much at all. It is absolutely stunning! In fact, I’m ordering me some now. Thank you so much for your ingenious tutorials that you just don’t find anywhere else. ♥️
Thank you so much Julie 😍 I absolutely loved playing with the gilding flakes and this sunflower stamp. Enjoy your flakes when you get them. I have some more ideas for mine so stay tuned 😉 I need to order myself some more as well!
So pleased to see someone using Alina's products - I've got that stamp so can give this a go. I've had the flakes for ages and forget to use them. Thank you.
Awww she has some lovely products and such great value too. This stamp is one of my favourites! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment too. I really appreciate it. ☺️
Thank you so much Lori. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. They can be a little fussy but if you're prepared for the mess then it's definitely a fun technique 😁
Thank you so much for watching ☺️ I'm new to gilding flakes and I've really been enjoying using them! Shame they're not more popular as they are a great alternative to foiling without a mega expensive machine.
Lovely card I will have to this. I have similar products. New subscriber and liked your video and watched it all the way to the end because I love the fact that you took the time to interact and reply to all your comments especially the later ones I like that. Plus I also liked the content of this video to. I have noticed that some big RUclipsrs don’t take the time to comment or even just like their comments and don’t even answer questions. That bothers me because it’s your subscribers and followers that got you where you are today. Sorry that’s my little rant for the day lol. Have a wonderful weekend.
Aw thank you so much Mary. I am so glad you're going to give it a try!☺️ thank you for taking the time to watch, like, leave a comment and subscribe that means a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed the video too! ☺️ have a great weekend!
I have flakes and have never used them. Now I’m inspired, thank you. Lovely clear video and I’m glad you didn’t stress with the missing area, because there’s no need to.
Beautiful card and well done on decanting the flakes into a bigger tub. I've seen so many demos where the crafter uses the original package. The flakes expand quire a bit so it is just frustrating watching them trying to get the excess flakes back into the tub!
Thank you ☺️ I haven't tried it but you could give it a go. I think that because you have to make sure the embossing powder is hot when you would normally add foil you might end up blowing gilding flakes everywhere 😅 but worth a try!
Thanks so much! ☺️ Yes I do think tacky glue will work with transfer foil! You can use the tacky glue through a stencil and then foil over it. But you have to wait for the glue to go clear or dry first.
Thank you so much for watching Michele and taking the time to comment! The sentiments are from the 'Stripped Back Sentiments' stamp set from Funky Fossil Designs. I have linked them in the description box below the video. They are available from Stampers Grove in the UK, Frantic Stamper in the US and Natalie May Scrapbooking in Australia ☺️
This is beautiful and I am missing playing in my craft room!!! Where, oh where did you find a short T-ruler??? I have looked everywhere I could think, but all I could find was 12 inches and up. I don’t use it much at all because it’s just too big.
Hi Bev, thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a lovely comment ☺️ the T ruler is from Alina Crafts. I have popped a link in the description box below but I'll pop it here for you! It is a fab size and much more suited to card making than a large one! a.aliexpress.com/_EH2RmMt
Thank you so much for watching Lynn. Yes you can use any tacky glue ☺️ so Cosmic Shimmer do a flake and glitter glue, also Anita's Tacky Glue. Scrapbook.com sell a few. If you type in Tacky glue on their website they have one by tonic studios. I hope that helps ☺️
@lynngalvan, I just saw your comment. I found a glue designed for doing gold leafing on wood works well. You should be able to find one in a craft or art store or online. I got mine at Hobby Lobby, but you can just search online for "leafing glue" & it will give several options. Mine is Beacon brand. It dries tacky. Tombow Mono Multi Glue would be another option that's probably even easier to find. It's the one with the green lid. If you apply it & let it dry before putting anything on it, it will then be tacky & then you can add your gilding flakes. Works great for adding metallic foil, too. Don't go with something like Aleene's Tacky Glue, as that doesn't dry tacky. It has to be tacky after it dries to work. Hope this helps! :)
The glue and the 'sponge' are gamechangers. Very good video. and soooo many views!!!
Ahhh thank you so much ☺️ thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment ☺️

Beautiful results with the gilding flakes. They are so fussy to use but the results are stunning!
Thank you so much Lori. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. They can be a little fussy but if you're prepared for the mess then it's definitely a fun technique 😁
I love using gilding flakes. It's not the most popular technique so it's cool to see other crafters demonstrating it. Your cards are beautiful!
Thank you so much for watching ☺️ I'm new to gilding flakes and I've really been enjoying using them! Shame they're not more popular as they are a great alternative to foiling without a mega expensive machine.

Thank you so much for watching ☺️ I don't think I'd ever get them back in the pot they came in 😅🤣 I can imagine it's painful to watch that!
Such a beautiful card
Thank you so much 😍
Beautiful, love the finished card. Think I need a T ruler. Xx
Thanks so much Donna! Yes the T ruler is very useful. Great for lining things up.
New subscriber. Love your card, I never think to use my gilding flakes.
Thank you so much Sylvia for watching, taking the time to comment and subscribing. ☺️ you'll have to dig those gilding flakes out now! 😉
Hi Laura I love this sunflower card and your explanations were very clear. Thank you for sharing I'm a new subscriber 😊
Awww thank you so much! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment and subscribing. It means a lot. ☺️
Lovely card. I wonder if sticky embossing powder would work for the flakes to stick to?
Thank you ☺️ I haven't tried it but you could give it a go. I think that because you have to make sure the embossing powder is hot when you would normally add foil you might end up blowing gilding flakes everywhere 😅 but worth a try!
I haven’t tried gilding flakes, but I was given transfer foil. I have some tacky glue, maybe they will work.🧐 Very pretty card Laura.❤

Lovely card!!! I have some wax stamps but wasn’t sure how I’d attach them.
Love the word set!!! Where’d you get that?
