    Ingredients:
    walnuts
    flour
    sourdough
    spices (black pepper, cloves, cinnamon)
    sugar

    Amazing! Grazie Mille! Nice as I was asking for a lenten pasta recipe in the other video! I am doing medieval rules of lent this year, so no milk egg or meat.

    Looks something like a honey-less baklava. Would this have been more of a dessert item or a main dish?

      In medieval cooking, frequently sugar is added to savory dishes and used more like a spice than a sweetener. In this case, the sugar balances the flavor of the spices and walnuts, but the lasagne are not meant to be sweet.
