Today we prepare medieval Lenten lasagne from Anonimo Veneziano’s Libro di Cucina and the Liber de Coquina, two cookbooks written in the 14th century.

spices (black pepper, cloves, cinnamon)

Amazing! Grazie Mille! Nice as I was asking for a lenten pasta recipe in the other video! I am doing medieval rules of lent this year, so no milk egg or meat.
The lasgna noodles look like wonton wrappers.
Looks something like a honey-less baklava. Would this have been more of a dessert item or a main dish?
