One of the things that most impresses me about these performers is that don't only play western music, they really seem to understand it. Their body language alone tells me that. I can't imagine a western combo being so at home with Japanese music. But now I'm wondering whether Michiko Noguchi has considered adapting a few Irish jigs and reels.
