Hey guys quick correction. It looks like the Ryzen 5900X footage 12 core vs 6 cores got mixed up during the capture. The higher CPU usage is the 6 core 1 CCD disabled. This makes sense it was my bad. The results aren't all that different in the end but still wish I'd spent a bit more time looking over it.
I have a 3800X and a RTX 3070 and im strugling to keep it at 60fps, im mostly playing at an avarage 45fps, on either 4K upscalled or 1080p native, i know my CPU is gen 3000 ryzen, but is was a powerful gen 3000 cpu. I noticed that games are being really CPU intensive the last few years, like Remnant II was rough in my pc, but Space Marine 2 is REALLY cpu heavy, is insane.
My 3900XT behaves a little better than the results in this video, so relatively stable 60FPS in demanding areas. I run this game at 4K with quality upscaling and whatever settings it defaulted to. It keeps my 7900XT at 99% utilisation. Wondering if it’s your GPU actually holding you up.
I wanted to put a CPU benchmark video for you guys with some of the CPU's that I own. This is just hardware I have held on to, I don't have a selection of different CPU's to ad. Maybe some other day. Hope you enjoy. Cheers.
This game seems to have some issues with high core count cpus, it hates E cores and it doesnt like more cores on ryzen either, hm i hope devs will take a look at that and fix it
Yeah apparently so. I've only looked at one other game with one CCD disabled, that was Helldivers and performance was more or less identical but here one CCD disabled seems to have a smaller advantage.
@@TerraWare You can use process lasso to immediately pin the threads to one ccd (or both) if you don't want to bother changing the ccd settings in the bios all the time. You probably already know this. One thing I've tried doing is pinning all the apps with a lot of cpu time to the 2nd ccd so the game can have basically the whole ccd to itself. I've wondered if doing this would help with the game having more of the cache to itself/keep one ccd's cache less bloated. Haven't tested it much, but I have noticed some differences. Anyway, good vid.
@@Bugs-o8k Well for what it's worth in this particular case my footage mustve got mixed up between the 6 and 12 core during capture. The slightly faster is actually the 12 core. You can see it in the higher CPU utilization is the 6 core. I went back and double checked so that was my bad. Put a pinned comment.
I think the 7800X3d will be the best vfm cpu for years to come specially at its current price. Also the 3700X kinda surprised me, I expected it to average 50-55 fps coming to this video based on a couple benchmarks I've seen so far with other cpus, The 5900x didn't surprise me much, I expected the 5k series would be around 70 ish during heavy scenarios tbh (outside the x3d variants which will score higher ofc) which is also great news for me 🤘 Thanks man, this was very informative and I have a pretty clear picture on what to expect now when the standard version releases 🙂
Yeah the 3700X did surprise me too but that was also before I watched Digital Foundry's video where they looked at the PS5 and Xbox Series X and the PS5 dropped as low as high 40s in some areas but the Series X was practically glued to 60 FPS. the 3700X can drop to the mid or low 50's in some cases as you saw. I wish I could look at the end part of this mission but its quite ways away and you cant load into it and repeat it for the other CPU's it uses a checkpoint system not manual saves and I dont have the time to spend 30 minutes for each CPU for 4 runs than edit. I hate not having proper saves lol
@@TerraWare Oooh didn't know, missed that DF video but yea not having saves does suck yet still your benchmarks are accurate and informative so kudos bro! What you're showcasing is more than enough for people to make a reasonable decision based on their hardware. Also interesting on how the game as it is atm runs better on 6cores (read some of the other comments below) wonder how that works and why
9800X3D will beat it because of much higher clockspeeds and unlocked for OC, and AMD already lowered 7000 production. 7800X3D is a great gaming CPU, I have one, but I think even Alder Lake 285K/265K is going to beat it and 9800X3D obviously will for sure in about 3 months.
I have a R5 3600 but next week I will get my 7800x3d delivered so I'm glad I em waiting with this game because it looks like I will definitely have a major upgrade and better experience playing the game with the new CPU
are you sure you dont have the 12 core and 6 core data mixed up? the CPU usage is higher on the "12 core" footage which would suggest it is actually the 6 core footage
You know I think it is possible. I went back to my editing software and everything is labeled correctly in the software but the footage could've been mixed up during capture.
Nice video... thanks for the tests, I was kinda wondering how my R5 5600 would do in this game... better than I thought indeed it seems... still hesitating to buy this game at full price though... 😅
Keep in mind I mixed up my footage between Ryzen 5900X 6 core and 12 core but yeah you should see very similar performance to my Ryzen 5900X (12 core) in the video. It's a good game with a fun single player campaign, it aint going nowhere
I get similar numbers using a 7600 non-X with my 7900XTX as the results with the 5900X when playing 4k with FSR Quality (rendering 1440p). Interesting. Maybe I'll consider the upcoming 9800X3D, but will see. I was hoping to hold out a couple more years for the next gen X3D CPU still.
Wait at least to see what the 9800X 3D looks like but if what you have is working well enough for you no reason to upgrade. This games is more CPU intensive than most anyway.
good to know that i wasn't hallucinating, i have a 5600 paired with a 3080 and i get the same fps as you do on your 4090 with the 3700x regardless of resolution and quality settings. whether i do 1080p or 4K, low or ultra, even with dlss performance, it stays the same
thanks my friend for this was wait how CPU performe in this game and amazing 7800x3d massife gain and have great performance mean i must upgard my 5800x3d to 7800x3d to be sure have great experience with future games !!as always nice video !!have fun my friend
This is nice to see. I run 1440p with a 7800X3D and a 4080S, and in my tests I get an average of 103 with 1% at 90. Im glad I didn’t try to get a 90 class. They’re very close in 1440, but I know i get smoked in 4k lol
The way this game uses CPUs is so weird. Why is your 5900X getting more utilized by having 2 CCDs active vs just 1, while performing worse with 2 CCDs active and drawing more power with just 1 CCD active.
This is probably because of additional latency, which appears when one CCD communicates with the other one. 12-core Ryzen CPUs have always been the least appealing gaming CPUs due to this issue. In some games they work fine, while in others they may struggle a little bit. 6/8-core models fit better for gaming and they are also more power efficient as well.
@@stangamer1151 No its unfortunately my bad. The footage mustve got mixed up during capture. The higher CPU usage is actually the 6 core, so the 12 core is slightly faster. I went back and re-tested it but too late to change it now. Pisses me off I didn't look it over one more time but all I can do is pin a comment about it. My bad.
@@Reinhardovich Whats weird about it? Ryzen can boost higher as less cores are being used and you take a huge latency penalty when data has to move across CCDs.
@@TerraWare Not hard to do with the MPT mod. My 6800XT is doing 350w-400w with 2800MHz at 70 celcius average. Gained around 10 to 15 fps depending on the game ( with a 5700x @ 5GHz).
Can confirm, this badass game is quite CPU heavy. All the AI enemies and NPC's I suppose... My 5800X 3d has not seen less than 50% utilization, and will hit above 80C after just a few minutes. (Max settings, running a 3080Ti, DLSS Balanced at 4K, averaging 90fps). But it's so worth it! So many space bugs to rip and tear!!
For what its worth, can confirm, when the game is not crashing anyway, that it easily maintains a 4k60 experience maxed out on a Ryzen 5800X/RX 7900XT setup.
I'm currently using a RX 6750 XT with a R5 5600 and struggling to maintain 60fps 1080p. Do you think I should consider upgrading my processor or GPU first for this game?
@@TerraWare ill for this one! Yesterday I tried some settings i saw from @benchmarking, unlimited fps, native resolution with fsr2, motion blur on, with the Frame Generation config off the amd software and its waaay smother than it was, for some reason i gained to much fps. But I havent when I made this comment
I have a 6700XT (going to be upgrading that very soon) paired with a 7800X3D and hitting 60 isn't really an issue. From what I gather, SM 2 is unusually heavy on the cpu. Generally I seem to be around 90 fps, give or take. My old CPU was a Ryzen 5700 and the upgrade has been quite substantial. It's a whole platform upgrade though so the cost is also substantial.
Thank you for confirm I've been bottleneck this entire time, my 3700X is damn good and I don't mind that bottleneck but good to know now, with a freesync monitor, drops will stops being an issue I suppose.
I playing with my 7800xt and 5700x3d with frame generation through adrenaline and I'm getting 160fps all maxed and honestly I can't tell the difference with it off or on. 😅
Yea getting about the same on my 2 rigs 7800x3d nitro 7900xtx and 7950x3d 4090. About 60% gpu utilization ☹️ i knew something was wrong when i seen the power draw on the gpu’s and man does it make my 13900hx run hot probably the highest ive seen in a game luckily my x3d chips run about 66-68c average one on 420 and the other on a 360 aio. My 13900hx which normally runs 70s in games was hitting high 80s to high 90s and pulling more watts the my 7950x3d
Yeah, my i7 8700K struggles with an RTX 3090. I wanted to upgrade to the new 9000 series Ryzen, but they are not looking so good. So I wait for something really amazing. I could buy a cheap 12700k and mobo and use my 32 GB RAM, but It would not last I guess.
Not by much. I know what you're talking about when you escort the marines and the tank to eventually defend the turrets. I would've liked to have included that, the problem is this games saving mechanics kind of sucks, its a checkpoint system. I would've had to have played all the way to the end of the mission and rest it 4 times for each CPU run. Ultimately the point of this comparison is the differences between these CPU's and an area thats a bit more demanding would equally scale on all of them.
I think you should be ok. I know the 12th gen Intels dont run that well having e-cores enabled or theres a performance loss or something but havent heard anything about 10th gen
Just wait a day dont spend 50% more for the privelege to essentially play it on time. I hate this practice and wouldnt buy into it if it wasn't to get a bit of a head start making content.
Interesting that at 6 cores the CPU is being worked harder. Higher power usages and generating more heat. So the game scales to the number of cores you have.
I got an i5 12400F which is a 6 core CPU and now I understand why it won't go above 85 fps with my RTX 4080 Super. The demand this game puts on the CPU is outright insane. Sadly, I'll have to resort to 60fps gameplay. The jump from mid-tier to more powerful CPUs is huge!
Man, 5900X -> 9800X3D would've been a god-tier cpu upgrade for me, had AMD been able to bring the gains once more with Zen 5. I'm still looking forward to the X3D variants, but so far it's not looking like the 7800X3D is about to be put down.
Just bought a 4090 with a 7800X3D. I'm so hyped; I'm redoing my entire setup at the moment. Full paint job, new desk. The lot. Thinking about buying this game to christen it/ break it in. Is this game worthy of it?
@iltommyli2266 i have a 7950x3d with a 4090 and have my 7800X3d with my 7900xtx thought about switching them, but you can make 7950x3d faster if you like tinker but the 7800X3d is the best out of the box gaming cpu. Also tested 5800x3d 3080ti and 5950x 6800xt on the game its forsure a cpu hog.
My 7600 non X make my 7900xtx run at 100% at 4k. And it runs at around 70 fps with FSR quality. In 1440p with FSR quality graphics ultra the GPU runs at 60 to 80% giving me between 70 and 80 fps avg and 60 to 70 1% low I am at the end of the game, it's no more the jungle. When it's quiet my FPS goes at around 100 and 80 1% low. I'm fine with it i play at 4k with a controller.
I’m playing on a 4070ti super with the 7800x3d at 4k ultra and I’m getting 130-140 FPS. Couple people told me that’s not right and should be around 100 at 4k max but I made a video showing them and it’s legit
@@TerraWare Thank you! I think I'll wait some more time to upgrade then, to jump to the 7800x3d I'd have to change the mobo and ram too, which is a lot of cash for a little improvement
@@bombazeer6163 Ouch! That's really impressive, I've yet to start the game but I don't think I'll get close to those numbers without frame gen. Thanks for sharing
Something odd is happening with your 5900X; when the second CCD is disabled you're getting higher power draw, higher temp, yet slightly lower clocks, and slightly higher fps? 0_o If I got those results, I'd do some more testing! :edit: Ah, just read your comment about the footage being mixed up.
Wow. Devs are STILL not focusing on CPU cores (beyond 6) and CPU-GPU optimization -- you have headroom in the 7800X3D + 4090 for way more frames. Time to get 144FPS for 144Hz -- the hardware is there. Where are the real software developers??!?!?!!! It is time we, as Gamers, demand hardware optimization!!! #SoftwareDevsSTOPSucking
Currently, I am still with my old PC 6700K 32 RAM and GTX 1080Ti, I want to upgrade my whole config, I want your advice please switch to Ryzen 7800X3D or wait for 9800X3D ? And how much performance do I will gain ? Thank you.
I think at this point may as well wait to see what the 9800X 3D looks like. If anything the price of the 7800X 3D could drop a bit. As of right now 7800X 3D's have been hard to find I hear and selling out.
@pashunter500 I'll tell you but I made a mistake and mixed up my 6 core 5900X footage with 12 core in editing. I left a pinned comment but 12 core is faster. Easiest way to disable them is through Ryzen Master software if you set it to the Game Mode profile it disables 1 of the 2 CCD's
Skip to 4:56 to see him successfully parry 😂 Jk bro good video was curious myself. Have a 5600x and was like "fuck do i really gotta upgrade already??"
Funciona muy bien con ryzen 3900x, la verdad que muy pocas veses me bajo a 50 fps, y a veses hay un error que cerrando el juego y abriendolo de nuevo se soluciona el dropeo de fps.
Hi bro, in the following levels of Warhammer Space Marine 2 I started to have a bottleneck in the CPU no matter what configuration I use from 70-80-60 down to 50-40 I have the Ryzen 5 5600g, what do you recommend? Wait for the frame generation patch or for them to fix cpu usage? @@TerraWare I just watched an optimisation guide so I'm getting 60fps most of the time in high ish settings, but yeah I can still drop significantly when in intense situations, might just have to get a CPU upgrade later down the line. Or wait for further patches/improvements
@@Forty-K You could just drop a 5800X 3D or 5700X 3D in and be good. 5800X 3D is kind of similar to a 7700X in gaming and that does quite well in this game. I just dropped a video comparing my 7700X to 7800X 3D. Not bad at all, big jump from 3700X for sure.
Would you consider getting a 5800x3d or 5700x3d? I wonder if it would perform closer to the 7800x3d than the 5900x, but if the am4 x3d's are 20% faster than it should be around 92fps on average on that large scene.. hmm quite quite. I wonder if HUB will end up doing CPU testing for this game!
5700X3D/5800X3D are usually on par with stock 7500f/7600X. So, yes, they should be ~20% faster than 5600X/5900X. I am getting like ~10% higher framerates with my tuned 5600 then 5900X is providing in this video. And Zen 3 X3Ds should be a bit faster than that.
I am running a 13900K, 1080p to 4k is like 2-3fps difference on my 4090. It also uses the ecores like 80%, if I disable the ecores, I dont see a drop in fps. Im not sure what its doing with the ecores.
I've heard this game doesn't do well with e-cpres, especially 12th gen according to John of Digital Foundry he was getting terrible fps and disabled e-cores so increase of 40%
i have intel i7 10700k and 2070 super and had about 60 fps on high graphics, fps would go down where there was lot of shit on screen but that didnt bother me. i recently upgraded my GPU to 4070 ti super and still got only 75 fps with both high and ultra graphics. @TerraWare temps are good, Maxing 75 at full load, undervolted. Optimised defaults doesn't net any performance increase just hotter temps. Also I get worse fps from the dynamic resolution settings because the gpu utilisation goes way down. Also noticed if I alt tab, and then come back for the first 10 seconds my frames are alot higher.

I'm pretty sure it's possible for them to add 3d cache to both CCDs, it's just expensive and not very practical... But I think it would be more popular than AMD realizes.
Not much you can do other than drop clothing simulation setting to lowest and hope maybe the developer can optimize CPU utilization a bit better if possible.
I seem to be in a pretty strange spot, I am running a 4080S + 3700X with the game installed on an 980 Pro 1TB drive, and I am getting MAX 50 FPS on Low and 40 on Ultra. I am not hitting GPU temps above 45c and CPU temps above 65c but for some reason the performance just isn't there. I am upgrading to a 5700X3D this week but if my performance is so lackluster compared to yours right now I don't expect it to change with a CPU upgrade. Do you know what else might be causing such shit performance? The lack of performance has been present in pretty much any game I play, but I chalked it up to a CPU bottleneck. However, after seeing your tests I am not that sure anymore.
Hmm yeah that doesn't sound right. With 4080Super you should be able to easily replicate my numbers. Hard to say but what kind of motherboard are you using. Gen 4 PCIE X16? Even Gen 3 shouldnt be that restrictive. Im wondering if somethings holding your GPU back other than just CPU. Your temps seem fine so doesnt sound like throttle.
@@TerraWare my motherboard is PCIe 3 x16 (x470 tuf plus). I turned on DOCP as I noticed my 3600mhz RAM was running at 2400, and I also turned on PBO as it reverted back to Auto after updating my BIOS. and that gave me a noticable performance boost (stable 40-45 in combat on Ultra) however still not where is should be I feel. in the process of turning on DOCP I had to move my 16 GB RAM stick (I had 2 but one died recently) from B1 to either A2 or B2 but when I moved it to A2 the PC wouldn't boot, but it would if I put it in B2. That also might mean that A2 might be dead altogether, but I am unsure if that is a sign of a faulty mobo in general. I am also upgrading my RAM along with my CPU this week, which would only leave the mobo unchanged from my "previous" build that I've used actively since 2017. it would be a bummer if I also had to change the mobo after just upgrading my CPU as I intended to upgrade my mobo when the new AMD platform comes out, which would make the 5700X3D and new RAM redundant.
@@sledgebomb Yeah I hear you, you could've been running on single channel memory which would harm CPU performance. Its tricky because it could be something with the motherboard but it could also be your CPU memory controller thats failing. Ryzen 3000's are kind of notorious for this. I would see how the 5700X 3D does, make sure mobo bios is up to date (you'll probably want or have to update for 5700X 3D anyway) and than see how it goes. Worst case is you may have to get a new mobo which depending on where you live can be found for pretty cheap these days. B550's especially are quite cheap and good too.
@TerraWare you can look on a few subreddits, steam forums and RUclips comments on other videos with people with all different specs getting the same behaviour, changing settings and resolutions is near to useless to gain performance or stop the fps drops in certain scenarios And how would I check that in game bar and if so how would I fix that because what it seems like to me, especially looking at other people with the exact same problem is the game needs optimising Buying this is basically flipping a coin and hoping the game likes your setup
Game bar is still not updated for the 7950x3d. You need to tick remember this is a game. But word of warning, pinning the game on the ccd0 with vcache is very hot, around 85 - 89 c hot. Right now I just left it alone and it’s utilizing all cores with temps around 77c

@@spacechannelfiver interesting, my GPU usage is usually always 90%+, but I'll keep an eye on it. Btw, do you overclock your CPU?
I wanted to put a CPU benchmark video for you guys with some of the CPU's that I own. This is just hardware I have held on to, I don't have a selection of different CPU's to ad. Maybe some other day. Hope you enjoy. Cheers.
You definitely make my choice of upgrading from a 5900x to 7800x3d. I'm a 1080p gamer so definitely cpu bound
@@BMGGHOST You would see a pretty decent performance bump for sure.
Most modern games are still made to work with 6-core CPUs. Some rare titles can utilize 8 cores. And only few of them can utilize 12-16 cores.
@@stangamer1151 Kinda, but at least most other games dont actually regress in performance with more cores
Also the 3700X kinda surprised me, I expected it to average 50-55 fps coming to this video based on a couple benchmarks I've seen so far with other cpus, The 5900x didn't surprise me much, I expected the 5k series would be around 70 ish during heavy scenarios tbh (outside the x3d variants which will score higher ofc) which is also great news for me 🤘
Thanks man, this was very informative and I have a pretty clear picture on what to expect now when the standard version releases 🙂
@@constantinesoldatos the 7800x3d is currently going for over $670. Way better off getting a 14700k at that price point.

You know I think it is possible. I went back to my editing software and everything is labeled correctly in the software but the footage could've been mixed up during capture.
Maybe possible that his 12 core has parked cores maybe.

You can buy it cheaper on MMOGA for 48€
let's hope AMD makes those 3d Vcache cpus more affordable, hopefully in a few generation all models have that tech
Interestingly enough, I recently upgraded to a 7800x3D FROM a 3700x a couple weeks ago. Night and day.
Nice. Yes big difference.

If you check HUB's GPU tests, you will see that above a certain level GPU the game itself just hits a max frame limit of around 100-110 fps.
Now I understand why the temperatures on some cores reach 100 C and others do not, it's ineffective at distribution of load across the entire process

The way this game uses CPUs is so weird. Why is your 5900X getting more utilized by having 2 CCDs active vs just 1, while performing worse with 2 CCDs active and drawing more power with just 1 CCD active.
Yeah it is interesting isn't it.
I think it’s how the structure of the cpu components itself. Compact.
Further into this mission it gets way more CPU demanding even.

It should be very similar.

Also I get worse fps from the dynamic resolution settings because the gpu utilisation goes way down. Also noticed if I alt tab, and then come back for the first 10 seconds my frames are alot higher.
3700x makes rtx4090 slower than my rx 7800xt/5800x3d. I think they cant add 3d cash to both CCDs bcs its physical size..
I wish I had looked at the Ryzen 2600 too. That would've been funny.
I'm pretty sure it's possible for them to add 3d cache to both CCDs, it's just expensive and not very practical... But I think it would be more popular than AMD realizes.
idk if its from my sata ssd gpu or cpu i am struggling to keep 60fps i have a 5600 and a rtx 3070
@@hasoon1122334400 Do you mean at all times or in big encounters. You should be able to do above 60 must og the time
@@TerraWare it hovers most of the time its between 52ish-71
@hasoon1122334400 What about DLSS, does that help any or no?
@@TerraWare no my cpu usage during the dips 70-80% while my gpu is 50-65 max
@@TerraWare sadly no i think the issue is mainly from the cpu purely looking from the cpu and gpu usage.
Can anyone help I have ryzen 5 5500 with rx6700xt my GPU usage is 70% and my fps drops 30 to 40 how I fix I don't have money to upgrade my CPU
Not much you can do other than drop clothing simulation setting to lowest and hope maybe the developer can optimize CPU utilization a bit better if possible.
7800x3d was built by the machineGod
YES lol
@@TerraWare yeah I tried everything under the sun except actually changing the components. can’t wait to actually play the game as intended. 😂
@@sledgebomb Yeah I don't blame you, not being able to utilize your hardware fully can suck
4k gamer here so my 10700k is doing just fine
@@johnm4397 at 4k you are less likely to hit a CPU bottleneck
You never get 99-100% usage out of the 4090 here? How’s that even possible
The CPU's become the limiting factor. That's the point of the video to not hit 100% with the GPU to see what the processors are capable of
Yeah my 3700x is totally bottlenecked with my 2070 Super. CPU will be at 60-70% and GPU is at like... 80-85% when in slower moments it's 95-97%
Still get fps drops below 60 even with a 7950x3d and 3090 ( does it regardless of resolution and settings)
Maybe Game Bar isnt assigning the right CCD? Still though I have a video coming up comparing 7700X with 7800X 3D and I never saw it drop that low.
@TerraWare you can look on a few subreddits, steam forums and RUclips comments on other videos with people with all different specs getting the same behaviour, changing settings and resolutions is near to useless to gain performance or stop the fps drops in certain scenarios
And how would I check that in game bar and if so how would I fix that because what it seems like to me, especially looking at other people with the exact same problem is the game needs optimising
Buying this is basically flipping a coin and hoping the game likes your setup
Game bar is still not updated for the 7950x3d. You need to tick remember this is a game. But word of warning, pinning the game on the ccd0 with vcache is very hot, around 85 - 89 c hot. Right now I just left it alone and it’s utilizing all cores with temps around 77c
@bombazeer6163 is there any news about when the 7950x3d will be updated for game bar
And how would you tick "remember this as a game" I've not done that on game bar before
@@papichuckle i dont know when they will update it. wait when your in main menu of the game. then press windows key + g. game bar will open then go to options (the gear icon) then click on remember this is a game. then restart the game, then it will proceed to use the 3d vcache ccd. the performance increase is about 15 - 20 %
My issue is the game seems super cpu dependant yet doesnt use 100% cpu.. My r5 2600 doesnt gain more than 4 fps even with everything at low, dlss on ultra performance, and resolution at 800x600 vs everything at high, no dlss, and 1440p. Would expect the cpu to be used more but it never goes over 75%...
Ouch, cant imagine how rough Ryzen 2600 is in this game. I have one, thought of including it. Games don't usually use 100% of CPU's as in max all cores and threads.
I'd look into upgrading to 5000 series CPU, they can be had for pretty cheap these days.
@@TerraWare Lows of 24fps in battle and highs of 50fps on battle barge.. Its rough... Hardware Unboxed did gpu tests and my 4070ti with a 7800X3d gets lows of 99fps and highs of 113fps. Crazy how much of an impact the cpu has with this game. Never seen the like before.
@@TheNewcastleluke Yeah it does and would be noticeable in a game like this but a faster CPU helps in other games too, better 1% lows
@@TheNewcastleluke wow, you are rocking a 4070ti with a ryzen 5 2600?
@@lucascampos494 Indeed. Tbh never had a single issue until now. Ryzen 7 7800X3d on the way though. Should be here next week :) Bout time I upgraded huh? ;\
Yes, it is, because WWZ was as well.
Mines GPU bound. i9-13900 and RTX4080. I play at 1440p. Max settings I get just above 90fps with 100% GPU and 20%CPU
Every mission has randomized enemy count. No one’s tutorial is the same which leads to different FPS count.
True and you're never fighting the same enemies in the same order, you can look in one direction its 110 FPS, look behind you it's 90 so yeah. Helldivers 2 was one of the worst games to try to capture identical gameplay for these type of comparisons unless you play solo or coordinate with others.
this game so heavy that my poor rtx 2060 super get bottlenecked by my ryzen 7 7700x with very tweak ram timings , i guess this game doesn't care ram speed or 3d cache as long you have raw clock speed like over 5.5ghz, im interest to see how a 14900ks will do because it can go 6ghz, if you playing everything on low setting except texture ultra and AF set 16x and you want to maintain 120+ fps all the time even 100 enemies close to you you need really fast cpu and whats the point playing low setting if you have gpu like rtx 4070 class because you will get bottleneck anywaz and cpu bottleneck scenario changing graphics settings do nothing
My 13700f chews through this game.
Only i this games my 5600g goes to 88 degrees, all other games have maximum 65-75 degrees at maximum.
this is kinda dumb ..... the Corsair 360 AIO H150i can cool a CPU at 70w ? wtf is this ?
That is not the ultra preset , is custom. Why you didnt set Cloth Simulation to High?... You didnt even show it bro...XD . And You should set on osd 0,1% lows as welll to see X3D dips...
Running 5600 with a 3070. Ultra performance is kicking me into the 100fps range. Performance hitting 50-70 then didn’t try higher. During the tutorial when u launch the bomb it got throttled during the cinematic from 80 down to 15 then 1 fps. Weird moment that only happens during that no where else.
Interesting. I just checked some 7900XTX/7800X3D footage of the tutorial I captured the other day and didnt see a drop during that cutscene.
hows 1440p?
I wish you used 4070/3070/2070 instead...
Dont have those. Only 6800XT/3080Ti/7900XTX and 4090
Gpu usage seems low? I get 90 fps with a 4080s and 5900x at 4k dlss quality
He play at 1440p with DLSS quality so 960p for 4090 is s joke thats why😂
