The politics at play in the episode really show how we can get caught up in the letter of the law. @jwatson181 yeah most English Bible translations are pretty readable, which is super nice. I mainly prefer the LSB because translation philosophy is less focused on the modern reader and more focused on attempting to replicate the intentions of the original author.
Which prophet are you that you have authority to proclaim something heretical? I'm guessing if you have any authority it comes from a degree, not from a prophet or apostle. And that's paper, not power.
Heresy refers to something that contradicts the teachings of Scripture. You don't have to be a prophet or have a degree or have any "authority" to declare something heresy; you just have to read your Bible. (I guess I could respond by asking which prophet are you to make such authoritative assumptions about a person you don't even know. That's presumption, not power.) That being said, I didn't "proclaim" anything heretical in this video.
