Geeat video Tom. Now I know how slow I can go without dropping a wing 😂 Been wanting that model for a while. Love the FPV integration into the canopy !
Well done!! I am going to maiden my 6S Habu today I have only flown FPV on the 4s Habu so far. 1st flight, like you will be LOS and if there is a 2nd it will be FPV. Im hoping to have as good as success as yourself.
Excellent video Mr. Hunt! I find the top of the canopy bow obstructing view to the horizon at level attitude a less than desirable trait of the Avanti design. It’s a great flying plane otherwise.
Thanks Robert. I don't find the bow obstructive at all. My mind fills in what is missing and the bow is a practical visual reference for a poor mans artificial horizon. I find where straight and level is in the bow and then I know that with the horizon just below that level is the attitude I want to flare. Since I don't use "tilt" in these models, it is a safe and repeatable tool.

@@tomhuntFPV Makes perfect sense to use canopy feature as attitude reference. Thanks for the explanation🙂
Thank you …….😎
Looks great Tom!
Thanks Frank. Have not seen you for a while!
@@tomhuntFPV Maybe (hopefully) this summer. I have to re-up my AMA and FAA.
With the degree of bureacracy, licensing, testing, spotting, insurencing in my country I slowly leaving this hobby and starting to sell all.
Keep pushing the fpv content man! This is great! And good insight too . I’m building my own right now as well . How do you avoid vibration ?
No real vibration In EDF models, at least there should not be. In my prop models, you must balance the prop well and any large spinner!
This is quite impressive. Looking to add FPV to my Freewing 64mm; do you have links to this mod on Thingiverse?
