    Very cool! Yeah it’s tough to know when to stop. I almost think it’s worth taking pictures throughout the process could lead to some interesting prints.

      Thanks, Marshall! That's an excellent idea-taking pictures along the way for possible prints.
      P.S. I watched your video "How to Make Your First Comic Book (An Easy Way to Start)" and you've got me excited to try my hand at it. Thanks!

    Really love the warmth of the oranges and yellows. It glows! Love the figure that showed up. So much to see and explore in it and so many stories to tell!

    I enjoy the evolution of this piece but especially like where it was at around 13:45 or so, with the more realistic thumb and finger but also the hints of earlier markings here and there. Very inspiring, thank you, Chris!

    Hi Chris, I haven't seen your work in a long time, great to see you in action again! I love how you talk through your thought process and why you make your decisions. I quite liked the thumb, kind of reminded me of rock people, sad and contemplative, funny what we see, everyone's perspective is so different!
    I'm feeling fairly stuck at the mo so I'll definitely have a look at those prompts. Keep up the great work!

    I loved this video! Early on in the video I found the finger and thumb. Then further on I thought it looked like someone/thing crouching with its head in its hand, and the verticle objects were like legs or something, it was fun watching it emerge. The painting has a glow to it which probably the vermilion bouncing off the green its really very lovely and lively. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers!

      Thanks so much, Wassily...I mean Howling! I know what you mean about something crouching-I was seeing that too. Cheers!

      @chrisloudart maybe I could change my name to Wassily by depol 🫤 maybe then I could ask more for my paintings, they have ghost writers, right, that could be my ghost painter name, 😆. I did enjoy the video and the painting was lovely, I was very drawn to it, definitely had an emotional attachment to it. Cheers!

    I love how the red-orange warmed and balanced the cooler greens. I also love how lots of the underpainting shows interesting textures. Thanks for sharing yourself in full view and showing how you really get into it while you work. Great piece Chris!

    Wow... big scale and the artist really takes a good look at the process. Some of my own abstracts just go backwards and forwards for weeks... I absolutely loved the version at 4 minutes. The chaos. The graffiti. It's so much a matter of mood. You reorganised it with a really beautiful palette, Chris.😊😊😊

      Thanks much, Emmanuel! The 4 minute mark is exactly what I'm going to go for next time. I'm a big fan of graffiti art and that just whet my appetite to play with that style even more. Plus, it was just plain fun!

    I like the last orientation best--the red & white bit in the crevice of those boulders evokes the Wicked Witch of the West's striped stocking protruding from the house that landed on her, but placed in a landscape more other-worldly than Oz. I'd title it "Crushed." Are you by any chance trying to vanquish an evil, right a wrong?

    • @chrisloudart
      @chrisloudart  Месяц назад +1

      That's an amazing interpretation and title! I love the connection of the red and white to the Wicked Witch's stocking-it adds such a vivid story to the piece. Haha, I'm not sure I'm trying to vanquish evil, but if that happens along the way, I'll take it. Thank you!

      I enjoyed you working at your easel for a different vibe and on a large canvas. I’m not distracted by your artwork in the background but I glanced at it and appreciated it then went back to watching you. Fascinating how the painting began and where you brought it at the end. I think I prefer the early version but you had a good paint day!

    • @chrisloudart
      @chrisloudart  Месяц назад

      Thanks so much, Sherri! I'm glad you enjoyed the different vibe of this video. It's great to hear the background artwork wasn't too cluttered and distracting. Every paint day has its own story, and I'm glad you enjoyed watching this one unfold! I think I like the early version better as well.
