    Reviewing a sensible, affordable everyday car is not something to be ashamed of. I felt like you were apologizing for this review, as if someone made you do it. 99,9% of all the people cannot afford any of the dream cars you review normally, and even less haven't got the skills to drive them properly (including me). I am looking for bang for the buck kind of deal right now for a new car and this car is something I could see myself deciding for. I love your reviews by the way.

      Mike Litorris you are right! I would love to have this E200! I will probably never be able to afford an E63s AMG, even tho it’s a dream car for me, but as you said, this Mercedes could be something to work hard to afford, and it’s gonna be more than great for anyone like me and like you! My dad would drive a car like this only on special ocasions, he would feel in it just like Max would feel in a Rolls Royce.. My dad would buy an 1.0 Sandero for day to day usage just to protect this Mercedes and have it in good condition for many years. But I would love to drive it on a daily basis, I would feel so great to have a car like this waiting for me everytime I have to go somewhere..

      He's used to faster cars, but 184hp is enough for everything for a 'normal' person. Of course it won't feel fast if you've driven a 600hp car, but it's still faster than 90% of the cars in my country. My car has the same power but it weighs less, and I don't feel any lack of power.
      And let's not forget about that he was complaining about the car being slow while he was doing 210km/h. :DDD

    @zigaveren3902 6 лет назад +282

    I think you got really spoilt by all the fast cars you drive. This car compared to other regular cars most people have is still pretty fast. You should drive and make videos on a few cars that have maybe 100hp, I would really enjoy that.

      Ziga Veren you are alright. I have an 2015 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI 105HP, 250Nm, 5-Speed Manual and an 2016 Mercedes A Class (A200) W176 Facelift, petrol, 156HP, 250Nm and 7-Speed Automatic Transmision, and not so many optionals on them. This E200 is for someone like me a fast car, an expensive car and a great car. I love my 156HP A Class and even my 105HP Golf, I would totally love to have an E Class like this. Of course a petrolhead would dream about an E63s AMG, but I don’t have more than 20.000€ to spend on a car, and I have lot of friends that buy cars at less than 10.000€ (some of them even at ~3000€).. I live in Romania, and we are not that rich here.. someone who drives cars with more than 500HP on a daily basis of course would get so nervous driving an 105HP Diesel, but poor petrolheads have to enjoy any car they get to drive 🤗

    First to say, you have done a very well structured video. You are showing a few really important and interesting things in the first 10 secs, which is appropriate with the fast lifestyle of most of the people these days. You don't do the long and annoying 5 mins intro, you are just giving your viewers the information they seek. Thank you for this !

    In most parts of the world, a Mercedes, let alone an E-Class is a dream car all by itself. 184 hp is not a poor number by any stretch either, here in Turkey our base engine is the E180 1.6 156 hp as our tax brackets work by displacement. I agree it is sensible for you to drive "normal cars" every once in a while, just keep in mind this is unattainable for 99 percent of your viewers and of any population :)

  • @AaronRandolphChen
    @AaronRandolphChen 6 лет назад +8

    Thanks for testing a car that more of us can afford. I, for one, really appreciate it. I would not complain about the performance since it is the base version, but what I find rather surprising is how little legroom you had in the rear seat considering this is the E-Class. Aside from that, you really cannot say much to detract from how complete and thorough of a package the E200 is. Great review and nice watch too!

      @@enai-lo unless you're doing an autobahn trip daily (even in that case it doesn't seem overly necessary) you're likely to not drive too fast. You're better off with the smaller engine in most countries as larger engines have more tax imposed on them, making the 4 cylinder engines far more appealing to those who want to drive something like this.

    When you drive 7000BHP supercars all day, of course a 184BHP car that's focused on comfort is not gonna impress you anymore. It's aimed at people who want a good quality, comfortable, everyday car with pretty decent performance, relatively low fuel consumption, taxes that do no harm to your wallet, etc. For example, I live in an area where there are no speed roads where I can go nuts. The moment I go 2km/h over the speed limit I risk getting a ticket because police cars are patroling everyday, hunting for naughty drivers. So why would I want a 700BHP that's expensive to maintain in every way but which I can't even fully enjoy when I want? Those supercars are nice to look at and try out for a few days maybe and in a place where you CAN actually test them, but in an everyday type of situation, this type of cars is what the majority of the people are gonna go for. And 184BHP is more than enough for this model, again, for a car focused on comfort. My dad's 2015 E200 is a 136BHP diesel. Even though I advised him to get the e220 model (170bhp) offers a great balance between decent power and low fuel consumption, he settled for the lower power model just because there's nowhere he can use those extra horses. And the car feels really nice and also pretty snappy. It's really comfortable and that's all that matters to him.
    I think a lot of people would love to see more videos like this. More 'everyday/ordinary' car reviews would give us a lot more insight on cars that a lot more people can buy.

    I would do anything for a car like this, lol. I have an 2015 Volkswagen Golf 7 1.6 TDI 105HP, 250Nm, 5-Speed Manual, and an 2016 Mercedes A Class (A200) W176 Facelift, petrol, with 156HP and 250Nm, with the 7-Speed Automatic Transmision and not a lot of optionals in it.. And I already think it’s an awesome and fast car for my budget.. 😂 I would totally love an 9-Speed Automatic E200 like the one you reviewed 😍 But I don’t have more than 20.000€ to spend on a car, so I must buy it Second Hand maybe in 2021, with about at least 60.000km, and that’s not cool, but I live in Romania, and those cars are a bit expensive for us... My dream will always be an E63s AMG or an C63s AMG, but yeah, not at this point in time 😂 I really love BMW M5, Audi RS6 (or S6 or at least an A6 🙄) too. ❤️ Sweet dreams for poor petrolheads 😂👌

Dont be spoiled by 400+ Horsepower cars, this "entry-level" E class is still unafordable to most working-class people. And all the luxury-extras can be bought for it aswell. Even on a german Autobahn you will rarely drive more than 200 km/h if you drive during rushhours.

    Please use kilowatts instead of horsepower. 135 Kw and 0 to 100 kph in 7.7 seconds is very much what you would have got in an earlier E320 and is totally fine as most countries don't have unlimited speed autobahns. Obviously it doesn't sound as good as the smooth 6 of that earlier generation though. So that twin screen dash is optional, really. It's standard on the basic A class, at least here in NZ. A nice car, and steel springs means less to go wrong for owners 10 years down the track.

    Why not doing both reviews of base and high spec cars you drove on this channel, just to compare the difference of performance, because at end 90% of the viewers will only buy the base version :D

      @@snertmetrookworstrookworst7631The Jaguar does not belong there either. Put in a Volvo instead.. How does your Jaguar looks and perform like after 20 years and 300.000 miles? Correct it would have been scrapped long before..
