- Staffordshire Police escort a large 225 tonne medical grade oxygen tank through Stafford before coming to rest near Cannock in Staffordshire, UK.
The 225 tonne oxygen tank, belonging to AirLiquide, was empty during transport. The load was 49m long, 6.5m high and 4.9m wide and transported by Collett Ltd. Due to the abnormally large size, police were available to shut down junctions and escort the convoy through South Staffordshire. Various staff were on hand to cut trees, lift BT cables and move roadside furniture to allow for the safe passage of the vehicle.
The load was 1 of 4 to pass through the county of Staffordshire in approximately 6 weeks. Due to the difficult movement of the load and the fact it wont fit on motorways, the journey of each load took 5 days to pass through the county, including populated areas of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, Rugeley, Cannock, Sutton Coldfield and other places. It took a week to travel from Ellesmere Port to Coleshill.
This video was filmed on day 3 of 5 of the journey through Staffordshire, which came from Cheshire and was heading to Warwickshire. You can see my video of day 1 here: • Large medical grade ox...

Imagine being stuck behind this the whole way home from work.
That's a long commute!
8.55 Nothing says more British than moving a heavy load with a mug of tea by the controls.
its the way we do things
😂👍
Got to get your priorities right 😊
Well, us British people can’t go without our tea
8:55
Rest in peace headphone users.
🤣🤣🤣😭😭
🤣🤣🤣
ROFL... brilliant!
Not if you read and turn it down.
Thx for warning.. i am saved.
The driver of the load must have some mad patience
thought that was my delivery of beer for the weekend
Imagine if it was it would certainly be a high amount of it
Don't mind me, I'm just getting my beer delivery
No don't worry I won't get too drunk 😂
5:45 good job he has a safety hat on, it'll protect him against that 225 tonne tanker /s
no doubt has steel toe capped boots on as well
everything within 100 meters would be blasted the f off this earth if that explodes, but hey he’s wearing protection
@@f.b.lagent1113 it's empty
Correct, but a hard hat might protect his head if he stands up out of his seat and bangs his head on the tank.
@@YelpBullhorn Of course. I just find it funny how people wear PPE in certain scenarios where regardless of what you're wearing, if something went wrong, it'd be almost certain death and there's nothing a silly plastic hat would do.
4:19 R.I.P. for the people who were listening with headphones
MY EARS
Rip headphone users
I haven't got to that part yet and I'm so scared 😂😂
I had full volume and I'm headphone user lol
I am using headphones..
I still have more videos of this abnormal load. What shall I do with them next?
@Real George Sukhotin yep upload them becuse i want to see what happing
UPLOAD IT!
The cost of all this must be immense
Please share
Upload please!
Love it that the man under the tanker has is brew with him ☕
Is it even safe for that man under the tanker drinking the cuppa.😀🚛
@@ILEFTYT. that what I like about him sod health and safety I have my brew no matter what ☕ going on
I mean like u can't work without ur brew am I right?
Keep getting these unusual moves. It's cool watching the police and transport company work together
I worked in this job and it's extremely hard. You have to sleep in the van and you get home once a week.
The trucks go like 20km/h uphill and downhill on the highway and the faster they move is at 70km/h.
In Spain, a trip from Barcelona to Malaga takes about 3 days.
they certainly do well out of it by how much they charge!
Yes
Zzza
Zas3z
4:27 My God that noise!!!
And it doesnt stop either
Bit of WD 40 would have sorted it!
sounds so eerie
@Mike Jones ear rape
@@Frugstar23 yep
9:00 so slow that they thought it’s time for a cuppa 🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Yes
The skill of the driver's and the police operation is excellent
WARNING: AIR TANK MAY SOUND LIKE SIRENS AND A VERY HIGH-PITCHED AWFUL-SOUNDING SYMPHONY
Ya
Ouch
Hilarious
Fantastic work, really shows the amount of work and preparation that goes into these movements and shows the fantastic work of my colleagues in Roads Policing.
That’s one skilled truck driver
The sound the tanker makes when going by sounds like a broken symphony, hope thoose guys from underneath have ear protection...
Lol
Me and my music class
Just looked, they don't. I hope you like being deaf.
WHY WOULD ANYONE WISH TO BE TOO NEAR TO THIS HUGE TANK. JOB WELL DONE GUYS
Sing me the song of your people!
4:27
Lmfao
It’s a pod of whales.

Let's all stop and appreciate the casualness of the tea cup at 8:55.
Typical British
Saw this on the A460 between Rugeley and Cannock. Could not believe my eyes!!! Also I can’t believe the police abandoned it once it was parked up for the night. What if the gypsies had nicked it, and weighed it in for scrap!
They would have never got it on the back of the transit. Lol
Gypsies wouldn't stand a chance Lmao.
Oh dam
Love the mug of tea/coffee/something-else that the operator of the rear trailer has just sitting there! :)
Apart from admiring some superb driving and Police teamwork three things made me smile:
@04:24 the start of the synchronised farting of 30+ air bags
@05:33 the hi-tech spirit level to check the lean on the load.
@08:52 the mug of tea on the rear trailer driver. Magically British.
Thats a huge chamber for just an O²
an O²? What you talking about? They obviously need a lot of oxygen so travel with more... You don't get "an O²". It's a gas.
Would have been a lot easier if they’d filled it with helium and towed it with a bit of string.
@@hitop2365 Lol
By airship sounds good
Yes upload it please it is something you don't see ever day
So glad you put the notice up for headphone use to turn down the volume that squel
Great stuff - appreciate the subtitles.
That noise is the actual sound that bagpipes make when you're warming up 👍
Kudos to the trailer operators and lorry drivers.
Thank your team and the other person God bless you 🙏👍💝
Great work!!! Amazing piece of work & technology going on.
If this was US police, they’d be screaming at people to move out the way, waving their guns in the air
TF is u talking about buddy
It’s called humour mate.
Excellent catch!
Fantastic video, thanks for sharing!
This went through my town
It went through my head the bloody noise of it.
☺
Nice one!
Soon you will be at half a million subscribers!
Hope so! 😊😊😊😊😍 Thank you!
What medical facility needs a tank that big!!!!
One that's using lots and lots of oxygen for Covid-19 patients
Great team work awesome 👌😍😍😍🇦🇺❤️❤️❤️
9:04 The most British thing you will see today
Well us British can’t go without our tea and our crumpets for breakfast
Where are they going to take it and what medical facility can store that? It's huge
There are actually 4 tanks due to be delivered over the next few weeks there for a hospital in Warwickshire
ever hope all that storage for one hospital can’t see that somehow
@@SouthWales-ov8ry that's what it says on the contractors website just passing it on
@@SouthWales-ov8ry Yes, the hospital can cope. It has several large tanks that can hold the liquid for quite a while
It’s end location is a company called Air Liquide in Coleshill. 3 more of these to follow over the coming weeks.
Not sure if Air Liquide are updating their current tanks or expanding hence requiring these.
One thing I don't understand is that the RPU motor units are equipped with a D&R Electronics 21cm Road Alert Message board, but I never see them using it in this video. Especially with the motor unit(s) at the back of the convoy holding traffic back. You would think they would use it, but, yeah. I don't get why they didn't.
that noise is the inboard breaks on these trailers
So nice and great. Well done! Special kudos for truck-driver!
Absolutely amazing skill
awesome catch! how is AX53 feeling? Nice device?
Definitely fitting for a motorcycle to have a wide load sign
Wow that tank is massive
imagine being the guy riding on the seat placed on the side of the trailer tho.
Must be an epic ride
any idea how long did take this load to be moved from A to B ? and total distance .... thx
Incredible Biggest Tank, Greetings from Indonesia
christ imagine the amount of pressure on the driver
Love to know what the freight (move) charge was for this ...😣😣😣
Must be a big hospital to need this big of a tank😁
It sounds like a broken harmonica 😂 you should consider doing some voiceover, I think the commentary on stuff like this would be interesting
Lol, I was thinking the exact thing
David Attenborough voice overs 😂
I can’t believe they got that huge long tank around that corner!!
Right? It was impressive
The hard hat won't help the guy sitting underneath if it collapsed 😂
Dude, my compliments to your microphone because my eardrum just disintegrated...
awesome recording mate 👍👏👌
holy moly, after crunching the numbers of how much oxygen that thing can hold when full, I got somewhere around 350,000 gallons or ~1,324,894.12 liters, this thing is huge!
What is it when they finish? Compress air for a factory? Be interested to know how the wheels under and trucks work as to how much is pushing and how much massive breaking power.
Somehow when we in England move things. Doesn’t look as impressive as a house in America. Maybe just smaller roads.
I saw one of these passing along the M56 through Ellesmere Port
How? Surely it’s too slow for a motorway!
I would put all of the videos on!! Don’t you think it’s weird putting 4 of these into one hospital?? How much air does one hospital need?? Is there a second wave of covid expected? Plus did the big hospital in London ever get used? Hmmm 🧐 weird? I would upload all the videos thank you for putting them on! Stay safe 👍🙏
Imagine a mod that adds this to Ets2.
Why is this so exiting?? I don’t know but it is. I only wish I could have seen it for real
Oh yes it is fun to watch. Keep an eye on local news for 'abnormal / wide loads'
I don’t fancy the trailer controllers job, if the load moves, they’re just going to be a red smear.
Great video !!
Look for footage of oil/gas modules being moved to dock , that shit is amazing to watch
That's one hell of a job steering from under the tank and at the back
I live near to Cannock and saw this go past, fab to see in person. It's absolutely huge!!!!
Ty
Oh jeez, the load making high pitched screeching sounds sounds like a group of banshees trapped in there, or perhaps a large broken symphony
4:20 is pretty much me screaming
lol 420
4:21 Wow the noise 😵💫
When she says size doesn't matter.
Legends say, til' this day the oil truck is still on the road..
32 wheels on that thing, jesus. Plus another 6 including the semi-trailer pushing it!
The tiny warning before the load starts screaming 😅😅😅 I love the comments made for the R.I.P headphone users it's brilliant
I saw it when it stopped in that residential street near cannock, I think it was the same day this was filmed as it was raining then
Yes that's right! They used that side street just south of Cannock.
Awsome job! 👍🏼
Imagine driving manual in this situation, stuck in gear one 😭.
That noise starting at 4:20, sounds like Scorpios theme from Dirty Harry!!!
Don't you just hate it when the street is clogged up with street furniture
🎶im still standing,after all those brakes,and ma eardrums aren't burst yet🎶
The power of hydraulics
had trouble backing up a caravan once wow
And I have trouble even thinking about it 😐😐😐
Great video cobra months of planning and coordination with heavy haulage jobs. Stay safe and with the rest or all of your footage of this haul you could do a timelapse video of it 👍
I have one question. What is all that oxygen for? That's sinister! Some thing's going on. Two more of this? I get goose bumps.
It’s for a large regional hospital. They use a lot of O2. Nothing sinister. Don’t wear a tin foil hat by any chance, do you?
@@Twittler1 as a matter of fact, I do!
tHaTs siNiStEr 🤣
4:22 uhggg that sound 🙃
Damn, I didn't think these things could be so huge. I can only imagine how much of a headache they are.
Not seen one that size before. Only seen petrol tankers going.
Sign of things to come
8:55 got his cuppa tea! All right with the world.
Can't not have a cuppa tea!
just seen it, Radford Bank/Weeping cross, 6 in total I think
That is a sight to behold
It really is!
Very Nice!
beautiful weather for some large tank moving don't you think lads,
'sure, i will stick the kettle on'
why do openreach tag along with this convoy? Incase any telephone poles are damaged?
Lifting low hanging cables and removing low branches as well
What crazy is that the load is only being held by a couple of chains
And they're a gimmick really. They're not stopping that if it rolls
Cool video just like the previous one👍
Nice filming work
Thanks.
For which country?
Never knew there were so many police, hard to find somtimes.
