Oh wait I just realized its sense. I am playing bdk but for years always see you in top of tank damage logs :D
do u have that WA with route?
how does he solo tank it in first phase? is the iron dwarf racial enough?
Solo tanking it in the first phase is the standard strategy - use your defensives properly and call for an external when needed
Just use mitigation properly and cooldown when needed - it can get spooky but I never really felt in danger
