And ANT was WOLVES 3rd best player during the season...WHEN KAT got injured WOLVES went from 1st seed to 3rd seed in just a few games...He had GOBERT / KAT / Mcdaniels and even CONLEY was important to them... ANT played well in some play-off games but most of them were in losses..he also had 4 mediocre games in this play-offs.
As a Mavs fan, nobody gives Dallas credit. Just look at the 2011 run. Which by most is still considered one of the best playoff runs ever. But even now, very few people will say that Dallas won that Finals series. It is all about how Miami(Lebron) lost. You rarely see any credit given to the Dallas defense that series.

how is it easy for the mavs when the C’s played in a weaker conference with buck changing coaches, giannis injured, embiid missing half the season (affecting standings, playing on one leg) and every single matchups Boston had was injured from. Jimmy/Terry, Jarrett Allen/Donovan Mitchell, and Haliburton. Refs were very favorable in boston in a handful of games from each series too.

Even if the Mavs lose, at this point this season and finals has proven Doncic and Kyrie are up there with greatest duos we may ever see. This idea that they have to win in a dominant fashion to be considered great is insane. We truly live in an age of “goat status or nothing” when it comes to these new superstars. There is no middle ground left.

Yes, I definitely noticed the hatred for Dallas from Keyshawn, Steven A., and several others. They were embarrassed when they were consistently wrong in their predictions. They were so confident that Dallas would lose that I bought into it, and I'm a lifelong Mavs fan. Steven A. repeatedly praised Minnesota's defense and how amazing Ant Man was, the face of the NBA, yet now, after disappearing for a day or two, praises the Mavs. He's just hedging his bets. I almost bet on the Twolves because so many experts were predicting that Dallas couldn't win. And I've never bet on any sports team before; I was open to it this time because the TV talking heads assured us that Dallas would lose. Now I worry because Stephen A. is talking nice about the Mavs; that could be the kiss of death for them. Like the rest of us, he's just guessing and going with his gut feelings.
As a fellow MFFL, on paper Mavs was always be underdog on all of the series and for me that's very understandable. I don't even expect the Mavs to win against the Wolves let alone in only 5 games. So I'm not surprised if people predict our opponents to win. But saying The Maverick run to the Finals is an easy run is a diabolical statement. That's not even a low IQ statement, that is negative IQ statement.

Crazy how other playoff runs were considered a joke because they only played against one 50 win team. If the Mavs win the finals, that’s three 50 win teams and a 60 win team. In what alternate universe are we living in where this is considered easy? Compare the playoff run the Warriors had two years ago to this. Nobody was mentioning how easy that playoff run was.
