cmon dude, game is in very bad condition, no content, no economic, no PVP, shitty combat system, no reason to play and grind material for gear, patch annoucemenets are very poor. Game is slowly dead, population is lower and lower every day, soon comes new games in UE5, they should hurry up if they want keep some players playing.
Low IQ advice. Do not rush anything. They should take their time and make a good game. They already have the funding from big money investors. Steam early access population isn't even a dent in their funding. And UE5 is in it's infancy. They have 10 more years in UE5 if it follows the same life cycle as UE4.
Money doesn’t mean success 😂 Borderlands movie had big money investors too
They will pay huge money to creators that don’t care for the game. And you that sacrifices his channel for this game. You will get what? Inside information that you can’t talk about?
*cough*Asmongold*cough*
why would they pay money to someone who already plays and makes videos for their game? what new people is he going to bring?
If I were to develop a game I would look at the most successful games out there - find out what is great about them and what each of them lack. Then develop a game with all the bells and whistles and then beta test it (not alpha test it or before that). Pax Dei feels like they auto generated a UE world and sprinkled a few enemies around to play with - hyper focused on detail and lacking a ton of common things found in most games. They shouldn't have tested this early in my opinion.
“Tell him he's dreamin'”
Demone got his hair did and felt a video was in order to celebrate.
Its a Bold strategy I guess but it only works if they follow through. If not, the game tanks like New World.
Bros been glazing this game like crazy wtf
I'm not so sure of your conclusions. Word of mouth is usually one of the strongest methods of marketing, especially in gaming. People trust what their friends tell them about a product alot more then some flashy commercial or some stranger on youtube that might be getting paid to hype up a game. A bad reputation among a games existing community DOES MATTER. It's a lot harder for a game to come back after developing a bad reputation. The game, even in it's current state, is still pretty decent but it's getting very stale, hence the drop in player base. Mainframe has a limited window in which to add content or it's going to develop a negative reputation that its marketing dollars are going to have to fight against to overcome.
I wouldn't say that window is passed yet but it's definitely ticking down. Mainframe doesn't have an infinite amount of time, regardless of the amount of dollars they have banked. Dev's know this. It's often why they do push back game releases if they have the budget to do so. The other thing to remember is that this isn't happening in a vacume. There are other very hyped games waiting in the wings to come out...like Light No Fire. The new shiny offering on the market always has a hype advantage over a released game that is pushing an update. Pax Dei is going to have competition and the longer it waits, the fiercer that competition becomes.
Again, I don't think it's a lost cause by any means at this point. However, their update better come sooner rather than later and it better be a home run rather than a bunt and they'll need to get on a regular schedule of pushing content after that or Pax Dei will get a reputation in gaming communities as the stale game that never gets content updates.... and that will happen no matter how many advertising dollars they have banked.
disagree. I don't trust word of mouth from people who watch youtubers and parrot what the big youtubers are saying. All the people in my guild who stuck with the game are still enjoying it. I will trust and listen to people who are currently playing it.
In my opinion, Pax Dei needs to showcase its full potential before the end of the AoC Alpha, which is in May 2025. This doesn’t mean the game has to be fully completed, but it must be attractive to players. If Pax Dei is in the same state in May as it is now, people will forget about it, and it will end up as a niche game for a small group of players.
Marketing doesn't really matter in the long run. It can convince someone to buy the game and keep them interested long enough to not return it. However, after release, marketing won't matter because Pax Dei is planned as a service. The most important thing will be whether the product is good. If the game is good, people will buy it and play it, even without a big marketing campaign. But if the product is bad, players will either not buy it at all or will abandon it after the first month, and the game will eventually die.
Not a fan of Pax Dei but agree that now isnt a good time to advertise the game. They need a game that people will want to play and that means no bugs and enough content to keep people busy and ongoing updates ideally.
The most delusional man on the internet dying on a lonely hill. Its just sad.
Did I just find myself agreeing with Demone Kim?
I understand there will need to be at least one wipe for the game before it leaves early access. I hope they will not wipe characters to start at zero for a 1.0 game release after many hours to level them.
2 wipes
What about skills
@@moneywithtwoos268 There will be one full wipe at the end of Early Access so that everyone can start fresh on launch day. During Early Access, there will also be one full wipe. In addition, partial wipes are possible during Early Access, and there may be additional full wipes. It is not yet known what the scope of these partial wipes will be. They could affect only land plots, only skills, or something else entirely. Mainframe has announced that they will try to avoid wipes during Early Access as much as possible.

On Discord there is a post about this! There will be on FULL will before release, but that won’t be before june 2025
In my opinion Mainframe is already failing....
Grow up
stooppp this insanity
Please for the love of god just put your time into following Ashes of Creation instead of this Demone
Agreed. You dont want to back the wrong horse. Just dont put all your eggs in one basket.
This game is never going anywhere. it was fun when it was fresh but theres nothing in the future that ppl want.
game will shut down in like 2 yrs.
I think you're missing the point here. First of all, we're in early, early access, and second, the companies behind this game, like Tencent Games and Riot, are huge in scale. Mainframe has plenty of time to polish the game properly, much like Eve Online did. You're living in a world where everyone wants things to move fast, consume one game after another. But Mainframe is working on something long-term. Look at Eve Online, with its 23-year run and 40k players logged in 24/7-that didn't happen overnight. It took around two years just to get Eve off the ground, and Pax Dei is following a similar timeline. Let's see where it stands in 2 or 3 years, and then we can judge if the game has made its mark or not.
Talking about a game this early, especially one the size and scale of Pax Dei, is honestly ridiculous. Wishing success and a long life to Demone and the project.
By the way thanks for me not worrying about this game dying and (why did you private this video at 12?
Very hard to get ppl back and word of mouth is very powerful when it comes to mmo's. All the ppl i came to this game with, we all have said this game just wont go anywhere and the damage has been done, I personally think they've blown it. They should have started the early access with at least the economy in place.
have you watched the video? it says early access dude
@moneywithtwoos268 did you read his comment? He said early access should have had an economy

Buddy fell off so hard lol
Nobody is playing the game becouse it cost $50
Its only been in early access for a couple months....get a grip people. You gen Z adhd kids just kill me. This game has very good bones, why not just freaking chill out and give them a chance? Its not like this title has been out for years like Star Citizen. If it does fail what are you out, 40 bucks? Like one tank of gas. I can spend 40 bucks on beer a weekend.
I Don't think anyone is arguing that they won't do these updates. I think it's their priorities that are messed up.
Yea, why would they build a solid foundation before adding content? It's just crazy..
Nice video man👍This needed to be said. played alpha 1 and 2...n im still playing even " as is"
Glad I could help
first
Well explained… 👏👏👏👏👏🫡
