Awesome. I made some backlights in series with the front lights on a truck and it took the front lights off. My solution was an extra wire to the front from the motor power and then it drives slower. Next solution was a little solar cell adding to the front and then it blinks between shadow and light when driving. My next project will be planned better, however, it's fun.
As a bonus I get extra power supplies made which can't drive the motors as hoped for, so I use those for USB level lamps until I get smarter with this stuff.

If youre handy with a soldering iron, you can use a L7805 voltage regulator circuit.

Rc4wd have a original led set for the fj40 cruiser cost around $19.99 ZE0071, this one just have the basic light up features (and it have the unique size led for the original “marker” light buckets for RC4WD cruiser body), connected to any ports available in your receiver, when you turn your esc on, it will just light up, your 3rd channel already occupied, so adding a ebay light switch will not work when you use the winch (using the winch at the same time with “on and off” your lights not ideal), what radio are you using? By connecting directly on your 4th channel it will remain on when the esc is turn on unless you can program the 4th channel to aux switch plus optional ebay light switch for the receiver. If you prefer functional led system that require you to channel one and channel two connected to the led control unit (usually cost around $15 USD), it works when you are making a directional signal (blinking signal lights) and apply breaks (break light brightened up), but main light still light up.

I am sorry you are not contended with my video. Obviously you did not watch the entire video, every few second i included lettered text and image (self explanatory) on the side of this video to what led values and resistors used and probably you did not check the description below also the links of every component used.
