Brian saved a lot of people
1. He saved Vince on that Truck
2. He let Letty and Leon Get Away
3. He gets justice for Jesse by killing Tran, then lets Dom Escape
4. He sacrificed his law enforcement career not once but Twice for Dom and MIa
The series was just never the same without Paul Walker.
Rest in peace Paul Walker.
Rip Paul Walker
Yes He Is The Most importan character
In my opinion, this was Paul's franchise as much as it was Vin's. Brian was just as important as Dom, and that's why F8 and F9 hit differently to all the other movies.
And what I love about saving Vince was that Vince had done nothing at that point but treat Brian like absolute shit. Brian had no reason to help him, but not only did he do that, but he blew his cover, destroying his relationship with Mia and Dom and wrecking his operation in the process, all to save a guy who hated his guts, for no reason other than it was the right thing to do.
Brian O'Conner is not simply someone who will give his life for his friends. He is someone who will give his life for his enemies. He is also Peak Himbo.
And, this is the moment Dom realised that he got a real friend.
Yup, that's true
A brother
I think Dom realized Brian appreciated family like him
A family
More like he realized that was his brother because he also lives a quarter a mile a day that's why they made that seen so dom can see if you truly stick to the end then you are mi familia
20 years later it still remains one of the epic scenes in fast & furious franchise.
Absolutely agree
The best*
Arguably the best
This is definitely the first in my epic movie scenes list. The second would be the *stare and drive* scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious. Third and fourth will go to Top Gun.
Throwback to those days when Brian was the real hero of Fast and Furious and Dom was the sidekick.
Dom was more of the Anti-Hero.
Lol are you kidding me? Without Dom, this movie would’ve been trash
@@WhyYouAlwaysLying786 I agree, but the same goes for Paul.
That is why the relationship between Paul and Dom was supposed to be end here for good.
@@WhyYouAlwaysLying786 2 fast 2 furious is the one of the best fast and furious movie and dom isn't in it
Theyre goku and vegeta lol
After this crash dom got mutated and now he could fly cars and survive any crash 😂
He has acquired skill called family that can break the rules of physics
@@necklaceofdurance8204 yes
Dom & Jakob Toretto can survive an 100 ft fall from the top of a bus shelter on a bridge & slam full force on top of a truck 😂😂
I really believe this
Dom had adamantium bones and accelerated healing. Basically Logan w/o claws.
something about these scenes make them iconic...that old school feeling, that realism & simplicity......
The realism? Like taking over a minute to race a quarter mile?
@@enigma5376 slow mo, multiple shots and angles dude...
You gotta agree the old cinematography, the lack of cgi..... Makes it kind of classic
I miss the days when the sensation of danger in movies had some real weight. It is an over the top scene as it is, just like the movie itself. Yet it is, without a doubt, the most iconic scene in the entire franchise. All movie long, we watched those 2 guys growing closer to each other. And after the break up scene, this felt so deserved. It's like the rubber-glue-effect. Try to force them apart, and they'll come both back together again with one hell of a force.
Yet one can tell this movie was directed by a guy who went through a mid-life crisis, at the time. It kind of leaks an old fashioned sense of coolness that it masterfully mixes with a, then, modern sense of coolness. It has a laid back, early 90s feel, mixed with a late 90s aesthetic. I think it's quite odd that the same guy who directed this also gave us Dragonheart and that god-awful movie Stealth (an autonomous fighter jet gains sentience and starts killing everything, besides the oldest daughter from 7th heaven and that corporate jerk from the Ang Lee Hulk movie. But heck, that Incubus song rocked!).
Simplicity!? Fuck this scene looks hard to shoot lol
@@prasenjitghosh5715 No one refers to this as classic with the exception of fanboys lol It was tacky in 2001 and it’s only gotten worse.
Brian walking away at the end had more meaning then the whole fast and furious of modern day.
I remember when brian left his badge in the bathroom and left his house
“I owe you a 10 second car.”
The most iconic line and scene in the entire franchise
You are both wrong
The iconic line from this movie is:
Ride or Die
@@TV-pv2wwask any racer, any real racer, it don't matter how many times that quote has circulated online, "I owe you a 10 second car" is it

@@Nikowalker007 you mean family

And we never see that iconic Supra ever again.
Maybe not, but in 2 Fast 2 Furious we see a Supra used by Slap Jack in the first race and in the scramble, so it's not entirely lost.
Well not till Fast 7
Fast 9
If I'm not mistaken after Paul died it went up for auction for police or army charity
@@TotalEvo7 you know Slap Jack's car is this car right. They changed it and used it again

@@theredbaron4573 oh ffs
That supra needed all that nos to keep up with that monster of a car💯
I say that all the time and people say it’s a lie
Fr
So in what history would you find a supra as fast as a charger hell yea it needed all the nos jesus
Ikr without that nos that supra would be at the starting line while the charger would have reached the finish line an hour early
And the charger had a blown motor
"I owe you a ten second car".
But it took 3 minutes to pass the railroad tracks.😂
This is the one of the only times that he flipped the car and didn't have time to jump out and watch it flip
This is the last time any of us that truly love the franchise ever thought Dom could actually be hurt or even die.....
The first one is such a classic. Easily the best narrative and writing in the franchise still. Dramatic moments that don’t require anything more than just the actors present in the moment and impressive practical effects.
This ending jumpstarted the most globally successful franchise in film history. It is one of the best endings to any film I’ve ever seen. 💯
As a kid I always wondered why Brian ran with his gun in hand after Dom flipped his car over lol
LMAOOOOOO I always said this
I've always supposed that it's because he was supposed to arrest Dominic and in the last second he changed his mind
@@Elektr0hazard Brian had every chance to arrest him when he blew his cover to save Vince and right before Jesse was killed. I think he already had his mind made up he wasn’t going to arrest him.
@@Mr.Soul99 You didn't understand. He was using the gun just before when the crazy Asians killed Jesse. He was just carrying it as a byproduct of what was happening. He might have not had te intention of arresting Dominic but he always knew he was supposed to. In the end, you gotta make a choice and until you make it you're all over the place.
@@Elektr0hazard oh yeah you’re absolutely right. Now that I look at it that way it makes a lot more sense haha.
Brian is the real knight and warrior of the fast franchise. He sacrificed his whole life away for Dom and Mia. If it were any other cop they would let Dom get caught. Without Brian's interference they would have died or got seriously injured and got captured on that truck hijacking. After working his way up in FBI he again gave up being a cop to jail break Dom out
Brain and Dom Both of them live there lives a quarter of a mile of Time!!!!
Lol Brain 🧠🧠🧠
All these years and I always thought he said, "that's how I woulda had mine".
Jesus.
Seeing Vin Diesel and Paul Walker together is like seeing Goku and Vegeta teaming up
I remember paul every day. Love you bro
2:18 *When You realise you forgot to do your work and mom comes in and directly hits you with a stick*
Normally an undercover cop turns the suspect in but Brian doesn't.
Brian doesn't because he realized Toretto wasn't the monster the FBI told him he was. He had tons of respect for him, so much so that he risked his career and became wanted.
@@XanVicious indeed that's what happens when you get to know someone properly
Brian earned Dom's respect. So he risked his life for Dom & gave up his Law enforcement career. He chose family
Like he said
I owe you a ten 10 second car....
He meant it and he said that shit in full
And then they flew to space...Damn some movies should never have sequels.
Thing that people never really mention is that if the first railroad tie is the quarter mile mark if you freeze it when their front ends pass that tie the supra it’s several inches ahead of the charger so technically Brian won that race. Small win but like Dom said doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile winning is winning
Actually you see the charger inching up while in the air
@@superdad9886 inching up yes but if you freeze the video at 2:04 you can see that the Supra is ever so slightly ahead and that remains so after they cross the first railroad tie
@@Ravenlocke118 and that was right before the middle of the tracks
@@superdad9886 2:04 is before the tracks, 2:05 is the middle. He said the railroad crossing is a 1/4 mile that assumes the first tie, at the first tie the Supra is ahead

@@Knight_Of_Eleum_Loyce well, if you haven’t been paying attention to the world recently, a big ass ship blocked the Suez Canal for a couple of weeks, which was owned by shipping company ‘Evergreen’ and at 1:50, there is a container with ‘Evergreen’ written on the side. Probably the best F&F movie ever made next to tokyo drift. Thats because its strictly about cars and racing and less mission impossible type plot. This movie also did amazing filtering california's night and day vibe.
I always loved the 17 shifts in the first 5 seconds of the race lol
how many gears that car got?
Almost positive this is the only time Dom was bleeding.
No matter how many times he's crash, flipped, hit walls.
Never gets hurt
"I owe you a 10 second car"
Hands over keys to a car that takes 1 minute 37 seconds to go a 1/4 mile.
That ninja in the train was going so fast he was ready to destroy anything in his path
Kudos for that charger throwing a Rod, made a hole in the block, yet still kept running 🤣🤣
When you realize that a ten second car does a quarter mile for more than a minute😀
I only came to realise the emotion in this scene several years later.
Now Dom can destroy entire parking garages with one stomp of his foot.
I love the first 2 movies so much.
Technically speaking Brian won the race if you pause the clip when both cars cross the line you will see the Supras rear bumper is ahead of the chargers rear bumper buy at least 1 feet or more if you look at the front you see Brian’s bumper slightly ahead of the charger damn he won the race and still give his up his ride much respect 👀😳
They were young and ambitious back then. I feel the early 2000s vibe. Back when Fast & Furious and Need for Speed Underground was the coolest thing there was.
A wheelieburnout. So much power, the chassis twisted, coming off the line. Haha
Back when scenes were natural and realistic. Miss them old days!
R.I.P Paul Walker
This is what gave dom a zenkai boost
I know they're gonna pass the train but that shit still gets me on edge
It took them exactly 95 seconds to race a 1/4 mile... Those are the slowest fastest cars ever made 💯
From Dom to Brian: You're Family
At this point both of them finally realized, not all cops are jerks and criminals are still human with heart.
Probably the only realistic reaction to a car crash in this franchise. He looked genuinely in shock. Now they're like "haha oh shit I'm alive".
slow motion scene at 2:06 After using all available gears + NOS, they have at least 200 km/h, and the train has at least 800 km/h
Shout out to the camera man getting the shot😂
