@Berenice A. N. Barkovitch IIRC, the "remastered" recording I think has either Jason's parts turned back up, or they had someone else come in and play it. I could be wrong though. I honestly haven't listened that hard to it recently. I've just accepted the fact that they were meanies to poor Mr. Newstead

Thrash was still a young phenomenon in 1986 and it had a feeling like being in a unique family, against the rest of the world.

I'm 53 and first discovered Metallica in early '84 when I was given a Kill Em All cassette. I was hooked. Fast forward to 1986, I was a 17 year old High School Senior and confirmed metalhead going to the record store at the mall and seeing the posters for Master of Puppets. Since I was already a fan, I bought both the LP (which I still have to this day) and the cassette so I can listen to it in the car on my way home. Two words come to mind when Damage Inc ended after listening to the entire album: "mind blown". Then I saw them live in 1989. I saw many concerts prior to that one and many since but that concert is the one I will always remember. Outdoors, smaller venue, muggy summer evening, 21 years old and one hell of a buzz on. God I miss the 80s!
