yesterday i was thinking that i take interest in my studies more than quran and automatically allot more time for my degree than ibadah , i was thinking like this because its ramadan and u are suposed to collect as many good deeds as possible,
But now my vision is clear, I have to balance Quran and my degree and not feel bad while studying because Allah will allow me to use it for his service in sha Allah

Same, i was feeling bad all day that what I'm studying today won't help me in the afterlife, but I can't just stop studying in this field either, i have to make money in the future for my family... I just searched 'nouman ali khan lecture in English' while doing chores and clicked the first video without even paying much attention at the thumbnail... And when he started talking i knew instantly that it's a message from Allah swt directly for me, cause what are the odds that this 6 years old video would be the first one I click! Subhanallah!

I usually refuse to give a public comment on these plattforms. But today this man gave me something I will never ever forget from this moment on. It was like a blessing send to me, a guide that I needed, an answer to the questions that were stuck in my head. May Allah grant him Jannah, all of us Amin ❤️
This is what i have been needing. I stopped studying college since my mother died because i felt like college will not be beneficial to me, my mother and my family because religious people i encountered said that i won't be able to bring my education in the akhirah and will not bring any benefit to me in the day of judgement. I was guilty of studying for Dunya and not Akhirah. So, i got emotional and focus myself in Ibadah (Spent my day in my prayer mat, praying, reading Qur an and doing Dhirk). Until i become niqabie. But this kind of mindset has led me to forget my responsibility to my family. I felt unmotivated to study, to try new things, to be happy, to even take care of our family's business so i ended up lossing our small business because i thought i wasn't doing it for the sake of Allah. Thankfully my father reminded me that i need to balance my Dunya and Akhirah. My father's words has really got me and made me realized how incorrect my understanding of Islam. Now, i graduated college as a niqabie. But again i feel guilty for working in the government as a niqabie beacause this work will not benefit my akhirah.
Listening to Ustaz Nouman made me realize to be responsible in a way of finding balance between akhirah and dunya because Allah has given responsibility to mankind to live in dunya while thinking about the akhirah. It's hard but Allah honored mankind and entrust this responsibility so i think i'm actually living for the sake of Allah.

Once I discovered BAYYINAH I knew how I want to live my life ! I really become excited about learning on the bayyinah tv platform. When ppl ask me, what is your passion, what is your hobby, where are you good at, what excites you, I never know how to answer because I always think hobbies something as sports or arts etc but actually i know what drives me, it is the knowledge that I gain with bayyinah institute and their videos! I now have to organise my life to an extent that I put those lessons into practise and help others to the same thing by understanding and benefitting from the lessons in a healthy and guided way.
Keep it up, im proud of u alhamdullilah 😁😄

If we put Allah in perspective and then shape our whole lives according to it while leaving back the distinction between Deen and dunya then everything will be fine. If Allah is in perspective, then there will be no 'deen' and 'dunya' but only what takes you closer to Allah and makes you ready to meet Him.

Lately, i learn to hear my heart more than forcing my mind into it. I used to by pass pretty much everything in the name of spiritualism, while my heart didnt actually say so. I used to be like that for years to the point of feeling numbness, like.. i couldnt tell what i feel, and it brings me to depressed state. I feel like a human shell without emotion.
Once i learned that there's something wrong within myself (because despite of all 'spiritual works' that i've done, i was filled with jealousy, arrogance, low self esteem), i try to be more honest with myself. 'Do i sincerely want this?' 'Am i forcing myself'. Being honest with yourself is really hard at first even uptil now. And this lecture remind me again of the importance of it, thank you so much.
Oh I personally had totally this dunya vs deen battle since the 2nd year of my training. I always thought like this entire training including my future plans are good for my dunya but how am I supposed to handle both? Al-hamdulilah, brother Noumans explanation sounds very logical and it is a huge relief for a lot of people asking this question to them selfs.
My first fav person after who Allah has told me to love is Nouman Ali khan .

This video was uploaded six years ago but seems to be timeless. Thank professor for this beautiful lesson. I really needed to be knowledgeable about that point. In reality I just finished my Master degree's in organic chemistry and I always felt bad about myself because I thought that I was only caring about my donya and not my deen. Recently, I've started learning on daily basis about my deen and suddenly come across this video which is a true magic bullet to what I was thinking about.
I always ask Allah to give me useful knowledge and here I am benefiting. El hamdolilah.

I used to think that studying non-islamic faculty is less worthy in the eye of Allah because that's what people told me in my country. But you change my perspective. I am studying English, then some people said that "in paradise, you will be asked in Arabic, not English, you're just wasting your time". when I make a dua in front of my mother, may Allah gives us a lot of knowledge.(AMEEN) my mother yelled at me because she thought I was too much into academics, and I always talk about it. Still, I do talk about deen too,, but my mother thought that I would not take care of other stuff, for example, marriage, I am a girl in my 20s and I am still struggling with my mind to get married. However, i am in both like Nouman sir sad, but I am still struggling to explain my point of view because in my house no one understands. deen and duniya both are important, and the point is how we see it.

mashallah! noman sir has enlighted on that part of this particular topic that no one has ever thought this way before! i would honestly say this is all part of mind games cuz the barrier of deen and duniya was created by majority scholars and elders whom I have personally heard all the time saying "this degree won"t come I your qabr" and this was the mindset my brain adopted too but this guy right here just broke the stereotypes! i don't know how miraculously you did it but I am literally stunned by your knowledge and perspectives, I personally wish to meet you inshallah!
He made it clear in a convincing way. It totally makes sense like as he told, Allah said to write down business transactions. So if doing business was also wrong and as they say "its for duniya", why would Allah tell us the rules to do business, He would have simply said that business is not allowed as its for dunya. It means living in dunya and doing worldly things is fine if done under guidelines from islam. Those that say these are two different topics, i wanna ask them why do they eat food and drink water? After all, they dont eat and drink for the sake of Allah.

About the last topic, sincerity. From what I've understood by other da'3is is that the intention should be that this is for Allah, even if I'm doing it to help someone. Say for example that you, as a husband, is taking your kids to school, but what's the intention for taking them to school? Is it that they will learn more, have a successful life or spend money in the cause of Allah when they're working? If you actively think that you're taking them to school so that they later, when they InshAllah become successful, can spend they're money in charity, in helping people build new masajid and so forth, isn't that you driving them to school for the sake of Allah.
But yeah, what you're saying is true, even if you're kinda certain that they're not going to spend their wealth for the sake of Allah, it's not like you'd give them up and say "take the buss", you'd still be a nice and caring father and take your son to school.
Allright, in that instance, I understand your point of view sir Nouman Ali Khan, thanks for expanding my perspective on this topic.
But if we take for example going to the gym. I can workout because I want to have a nice body, or I can workout so I can without any extreme difficulty complete Hajj, or play with the kids (which is something an exemplary father figure would do in order to catch his kids heart and by the will of Allah also showing the truth of this deen), or, if the opportunity arises, be with the Mahdi (as). In this case, you can have different pursuits, but all of them include going to the gym, but for different reasons. If I plainly do it for the sake of having a nice body, vs doing it to be a good soldier with the Mahdi / being a good father, in this case, doesn't the intention have here play a significant role?
I hope you understand my question sir, I gave a specific example, but hope you understand that this question could be generalized to other categories, such as earning loads of money so that you can then use them in the best of sakes instead of living Dunya to it's fullest.
