"RUST" is CRASHDÏET's first studio album in six years and is the follow-up to the 2013 effort, "The Savage Playground". It also signifies the first album to feature the band's newest member, vocalist Gabriel Keyes, who joined the band in 2017.
"RUST" was produced by Martin Sweet (apart from two tracks produced by Eric Bazilian and Chris Laney) and mixed by Chris Laney, who previously worked with CRASHDÏET on their 2005 critically acclaimed debut, "Rest In Sleaze".

Wave 1 of 80s glam metal were this heavy. I don't know why everyone thinks Poison was all the genre had to offer. It's honestly annoying.

Been on my playlist for YEARS......
I'm a diehard Crüehead and metalhead, and grew up listening to metal. I absolutely LOVE this band's sound! All those who have been claiming "rock is dead", well they've been hiding under a rock with their ears plugged! I'm so grateful to see new metal bands coming along and keeping metal alive! Because all the great rock and metal bands of the '70's and '80's are aging, and unfortunately won't be around forever. So it's great to see bands like Crashdiet, Liliac (an awesome American metal band that everyone needs to check out), Diamante, and Bad Wolves, carrying on the torch and keeping rock and metal alive for future generations! 😊

I have a feeling they MEANT it to sound like all your favourite songs. That's what the lyrics say to me. The tune definitely changes for the 'Hold On to what we got' line as if they ineneded you to think back to the music we used to have! Brilliant!!!!

I think these guys went from good to great. I hope this lineup stick around and blesses us with a few more albums. Rock has to be making a comeback soon. The world needs it.

To the boys in Crashdiet!! I just discovered you all a week ago and I am fucking loving what you are doing. It's not groundbreaking (no music really is anymore) but is fucking exciting and authentic feeling like it used to be in music before the 2000's. Like "Too Fast For Love" on Steroids! This opening riff is Megadeth meets Motley crue! "Kill The King" meets "Dr. Feelgood!" I bought this record just days after hearing it! Now going back through the catalog!
God man! And how true about "Beautiful Pain!" Been working on forgiveness for my Mother and am in recovery, thus I connect with that song quite a bit! The inner sadness that has happened that is beautiful. The tears that fall are cathartic, not gut wrenching! Just wanted to extend my gratitude for being able to have come across you guys!
