The real pain is still yet to come for this young surviving Officer. Mental health is looked down upon in this profession. It’s impact is often not felt for years. I only hope the healing help he will need finds him right away.
This young man is a hero. He'd been injured, knew the fate of his fallen brothers, composed himself, used his training and eliminated the threat. The literal definition of heroic if you ask me.
As a retired Bristol Police Officer and former USA Army Veteran Infantry combat trained this Officer did everything by the book and perfectly taking out the shooter who killed two brother officers 👮♀️ with just one shot to the neck! He is indeed a hero in my book and stopped the threat so he could not kill anymore! God Bless the Great Officer! TLAV106
People don’t realize how hard it is to hit a target like that from that distance with a handgun. Especially with that much adrenaline, and fight/flight response still fresh in the body.
High powered rifle he likely used. Way to report facts. 25 yards at night, heart pounding, wounded and likely with a load of crap in his pants. That is one remarkable shot. 🤔
God bless this officer for his bravery! Hope he makes a full recovery from his injuries and prayers for the families of the 2 officers who were murdered. Too many officers being ambushed by these monsters. Guy probably had a criminal record yet back out on the street.
He deserves to be generously rewarded for his Supreme bravery

After that great shot He did not hesitate to approach without backup to get to the other officers. Amazing
2:04, A zone hit at 25yards under duress. Good man

We are safe from police corruption now from them bless you
We're safe from the two Bristol corrupt cops they were sentenced to death
One "assault pistol" takes out one "assault rifle" with a single shot.
God bless you Officer Lurato!
Guy took one shot to kill the suspect now that's impressive, rest in peace to the two officers.

Look at the video. It was his service pistol. Not a rifle.
Misinformed and bizarre comment.
Yes hero cop for sure
