Yes yes I'm only running a 20" on my 362c ready to up to the 28" to save the back a little bit lol. 28" on the 372xp is nice but a little heavy for work that don't justify 5hp👍👍
Love how you call out the names of us fellows who have input. Means lots to watch you and hear followers names. Keep up the good work. Wish you the best !!
Excellent Videos...! I've been watching all your 562XP testing and reviews, really nice saw...! I'm 70 (not as old as that little tree thank goodness) and I've been wearing suspenders almost all my life and just ordered a pair of yours with the screwdriver holder. (I have suspender buttons on all my trousers). That otta give me 4 chances to win your saw, I'm going for it. Keep up the good work Billy Ray and keep us informed and entertained! I ran em both damn fine saws both of them, I personally prefer the 562 just like the Ergonomics and handling better, never ran either one modified, I know out of the box the husky feels stronger, personally I would love to try a 400, same chassis more power and nicer powerband.
Very interesting to me, as I have an older Stihl 361 that has cut a lot of wood w/ a 28" bar, and a new Husky 562, barely used, 24" bar, both with the same full skip Oregon chain. Your videos have me wanting to give both saws a pipe, for those modest benefits. Very enjoyable postings, and informative videos, you have a good attitude & outlook.
362 is a good saw but as is the 562. I will say I feel cutting the top cover of a 362 defeats the purpose of the flywheel pushing fresh air into the saw as they are designed.
Impressive working saws. I tried running the 562 xp but had nonstop clutch and bearing trouble even in the new stages of the saw an had a struggle to get any warranty. I had to go to stihl for hand falling daily . Keep up the good videos!
@@Shane_Reynolds85it was original 562 xp didn’t seem to matter what length bar we ran on them still had issues I even tried the 550 xp had same issue I loved the way the saws handled an balanced in my hands but to costly to run especially in the hot summer here in Nova Scotia it gets hot
That 562 really is a workhorse. Very impressed and the 362 is a fine saw as well. Where can I purchase your buddy’s muffler, I’ve got to get my hands on one. Johnathan Wichterich.
Interesting comparison, I really feel like husqvarna nailed the 562, having different chains sure makes a difference, but it still held up against a ported saw. NOT BAD! Thanks for the video Buckin and have a nice day everyone!
Wow very interesting indeed. Thanks for the cool video Buckin. :) Stihl ms362 has 47mm bore, 36mm stroke. Husky 562 has 46mm bore, 36mm stroke. The Stihl should pull better but it's to close to call. I bet the difference is in port size, shape and port timing. Husky has greatly improved there transfer ports over the years and it seems that they have found a sweet spot for that saw. Stihl is still using there traditional flat Oval ports VS Huskys newer Trapezoid shaped ports. I have an older MS362 sitting in my shop that has a bad crank. Thinking about building a 441 stroker out of it once I have the funds to do so. Would love to get my hands on a 562 to use as my primary firewood saw. I'm still using my old Macs. My Pro Mac 10-10s and my 2 old Timberbears have cut ALOT of wood over the years but they are heavy old saws. I like how light and powerful the new saws have become.
The difference is in the chain. The stock stihl chain comes sharp sure and its not much to complain about it for what it is, but what Buckin does to the chain on the Husky makes as big of a difference as that 362 $500 portjob. Same with running stock chain vs square grind. The cut time difference is crazy. The idea is to get all these mods done ON THE SAME MACHINE if you care about max cutting speed.
I own 35cc and 56cc stihls, 35cc and 79cc makitas, use 35cc husqvarna and 50cc stihl that are on our fire appliance. They’re all great, as long as they’re are maintained well. Go with what makes you happy and I wish everyone massive piles of saw dust
Love the braaaaaap. Hope someone wins the saw that really needs it. Lots fun fun to see the guessing and hear the actual tree age answer. Keep on keepin on bucken. Got the new belt today thanks a million. Might have to pick up a black one now. One for work one for church.
Need to get you a Ripsaw 462. That's the only Stihl you'll run. You tried one down at your dad's place back in the day and said it was a problem for the 500i. It is. Much better fuel mileage, pretty much better all around except in the mondo wood.
I mean. I couldn’t agree more. I log in western Massachusetts and own a residential tree service. I logged last winter for an old tree guy and split all the fire wood from the job for him. He gave me a newish 462 he bought but wasn’t logging anymore. Put a muffler on it and it truly is the my favorite say I ever ran. Big 372 guy but that Stihl is the truth.
Looks like two really good saw, I think it just boils down to you are a Husky man or a Stihl man. Of course I will take a Husky every time. Thanks for sharing my friend
I own both saws the 562 lean seized after 30 hours stihl fires right up so I wasted 900 I put a straight shot muffler on the stihl you couldn't tell a difference between them
They're very close.the earlier version of the 562 had a lot of problems and the early version of the 362 was a turd, most disappointing saw I've ever owned. I've got a video on my channel of a 362 we put an aftermarket muffler cover on it and my 2260 jonsered(small mount version of the 562) did a great job keeping up with it stock for stock, but the muffler mod helped it to be a bit faster.
@@brettblack7049I agree, I put a red beard air filter with a straight shot. I can tell the difference with those 2 bolt on's. I got a 28inch light bar on it and it pulls it no problem. But I believe Buckins 💯% correct its all in the filing. Can't run a low raker on most 60cc and down saws in the wood around my neck of the woods (central wa). But I'm in the process of figuring out this stihl hexa chain. So far it cuts pretty good.👌
I run my 362 with a Barkbox, keep my air cleaner clean, and I keep my chains as sharp as I can. I can carry a 25" bar in oak and ash with no issues. It does all I need it to do. That being said, nothing wrong with that Husky either. Different strokes for different folks.
So other than the times being very similar I see and hear the Husky revs much higher and the Stihl seems to have more lower end torque. Just my observation. Great video Buckin!
I bought one of these when they first came out. Way before I started working Professional tree service. We have all the latest and greatest Stihls which are great saws but I still love my Husky. Great torque and ergos. Probably the best value at the moment too with saw prices these days. Thinking about buying a second one. Cheers from the Okanagan.

I bought a 362 a few years ago. It was my first "pro" Stihl and I don't own it any longer. I bought a 461 (I know they are not comparable) and a 261. I love both. The 362 would bog down all the time whereas the 461 just pulls through almost everything.
Can really tell your hand file vs stock chain. Seems the biggest thing is sharp chain either saw is good I don't personally like the wrap on stihl I prefer huskies setup. All good saws thanks for the comparision
I run a MS361 in mostly maples and ash with a 24" bar. The 362 in your video seems very similar to mine, in that it seems easy to lug back off peak rpm, but is easy to feather and hold the rpms around the 70% zone i would say. The Husky seems to hang a little higher up in the rpms, but that may also be your chain grinds helping it out!! Both look like great saws and i am very happy with my 361 and doubt i will have a Husky anytime soon. Thanks for the video and like seeing you try out different saws, and hearing your thoughts!!!

I just picked up a husqvarna 262xp at a garage sale for $30 and im debating on what bar size to run on it. Not sure what it can handle. My biggest saw before this purchase was a 460 rancher.

I bought a ms362 and returned the next day. Went and bought a 562xp at a different shop. The stihl kept cutting out at high rpm and it wouldn’t stay idling without dying. The husky runs like a champ, starts right up every time and has never died on idle. After doing some research I found out the ms362 has some lemons. They have a carburetor issue.
As you yanks would say, I'm only in little league when it comes to chainsaws, but my Husqvarna 455 Rancher has never let me down! Extremely reliable and robust, and being just a lowly gardener, it does everything I need!

Buckins did you buy up all the Oregon reduced weight bars? Every vid you have a new one on, and I've warn out all my contacts contacting me back when and if they're going to have them again. North Idaho
Hey buckin, I have a question for you. How do you fix a chain after you do something dumb like grinding your rakers down. Before I knew to use a flat file and a raker guage i ground my rakers down and now my saw is way too grabbed. How do I fix that?
I think the maple growing over the rocks with moss is cool looking ,I thought it was interesting the ported saw was neck in neck with the husky I think if Donny or ripsaw get a hold on that husky it would be a different animal especially in some big wood.
That 362 will go under saltwater and freshwater for about 10 minutes and run and 10 pulls later it’ll run again we’ve put our 4 under water for minutes at a time over the past 3 years and they still run strong
I reckon there's more to be coaxed outta that 362 with a header pipe instead of the box-style mufflers. I've been running Bark Boxes on my Stihls for a few years and recently bought some header pipes off eBay for my 362 and 461. Louder? Yes. More pull? I think so. Faster chain speed? Perhaps. I just don't like the box-style muffler design to be frank. Anyway, YMMV.
So how can I enter for a chance to win the 562. I had to take down 3 ash and two more to go. Using a 441 yes it’s getting heavy because I’m not as young as I used to be.
Will that 562 sit level on the ground? I got a 450 Rancher a while back, and it falls over when you set it on the ground. Dumbest thing I've ever seen, but it cuts decent.
That is freakin hilarious when I read that I laughed out loud. And that’s a shame if that’s the truth I want one just for that fact to show it to everyone and be like look at this dumb saw 😂😂😂
Cool channel. This dude looks just like Bruce Dickinson. Bruce, is that you, man? Speaking of Iron Maiden, I think Niko McBrain is very underrated on the drums.
I agree with what others have said. Lets run it back one more time. This time with same bar and chain on each saw. Probably need a bar adapter but, I bet buckin has one laying around. The C83 chain is good but, I bet buckins hand file beats it by a couple seconds.
finland mentioned,a heard that buckin.:D if likes a saw and its working good its doesnt matter what brand it is.a think so anyway.a have cutting ice with my saw.sometimes when snow falling from roof and night time its realy cold its ice in the morning.then only cutting it with saw makes things easier.

Both seem to be good saws but normally the husqvarna will cut faster but the stihl has that same torque threw the wood but it just comes down to which brand you like buy it and run it

Hey BBR! I absolutely love my 562 and 572!
Where can i buy that double ram horn pipe for each one???
Seriously! PLEASE take my frickin' money!!!
Thanks Buckin'. I guess I need to message Cristine on the website and she will that care of the rest. Thanks again.
yes sir
I have 362 and I use 20" bar whit it. It has worked very well
Cool channel. This dude looks just like Bruce Dickinson. Bruce, is that you, man? Speaking of Iron Maiden, I think Niko McBrain is very underrated on the drums.
The only true way to run saws against each other is to use same bar and chain in same stick of wood. Or at least the same chain.
I also feel like the best Stihl saw I have used is 039 fantastic saw grandfather had it for years
Where do i get a filter like that. Its awesome
Man I was way off on that little fighter of a tree . It would make a nice tight grain handle though .
Would the echo 620pw be worth comparing?
sure someone has done it
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith but has Buckin done it? 🙂
I agree with what others have said. Lets run it back one more time. This time with same bar and chain on each saw. Probably need a bar adapter but, I bet buckin has one laying around. The C83 chain is good but, I bet buckins hand file beats it by a couple seconds.
Good show Buckin'!
Happy cutting bucking both 👍 tuff saws
Husky 359 and a Stihl 362 . I don't want to part with either of them
Can’t wait to run my new 562 mark 2🇨🇦
finland mentioned,a heard that buckin.:D if likes a saw and its working good its doesnt matter what brand it is.a think so anyway.a have cutting ice with my saw.sometimes when snow falling from roof and night time its realy cold its ice in the morning.then only cutting it with saw makes things easier.
Thanks Buckin, great content as always. Peace to all✌️
Sister C baby, it's all in the filin. For a stock 562 w/muffler mod to hang with a highly modded ms362,
Its all in the filin.😮 stay healthy, stay strong 💪
You the Man!
I love my 562 but yours sounds better
Glad you're doing well buckin
Both seem to be good saws but normally the husqvarna will cut faster but the stihl has that same torque threw the wood but it just comes down to which brand you like buy it and run it
Thanks for the video!
Where can I get a good muffler mod for my 562?
They both work really well keep er in the woods 🪵
Buckin billy ray how are you doing today ❤
good
