The intro with the statue of Liberty and that iconic tune followed by the animated marvel logo followed by the opening credits still get me amped up and excited every time I come back to it.
The portals scene and worthy Captain America in Avengers Endgame comes closer to this actually, but the Avengers franchise as a whole lacks of a specific theme such as Raimi's Spider-Man. I mean, Alan Silvestri did a good job with the soundtrack, but it doesn't have that sense of identification that Danny Elfman added to the Spider-Man trilogy.

To conclude, Blade showed the genre could have potential again, X-Men proved that again in a better way, and Spider-Man (the best of the three in my opinion) solidified superhero movies as a highly successful genre and ushered the golden age of comic book films.
There's nothing like it. There never will be. This movie changed my life. First movie I saw in theatres. First superhero movie I saw period. Spider-Man was and always will be what started it all for me.
First time(that I can remember) to go to the theaters I was 7 and I had to choose between Spider-Man and Episode II. I choose Star Wars of course lol, but this movie is would have been a great choice as well.

Spider-Man: Intro has CGI animation Spider-Man 2: Intro has concept art from itself and the prequel Spider-Man 3: Intro pretty much has images of key plot elements from previous movies. The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2: Tries to copy the same style, web attachings as the Raimi trilogy but has nothing in its intro other than the logo... Homecoming: Cuts directly to the movie, just like most do nowdays...
These movies feel like they were made with love and care, the atmosphere, the music, everything, it just speaks for itself. Homecoming felt like just another generic comedy movie with some disappointing action put in, it feels very artificial to me.
No matter how many times i play this, always giving me a goosebumps. Please don't compare this with TASM theme and NWH, not even close. This is truly majestic and the theme tells the story itself.

No matter how many Spider-Man movies there will be made, the soundtrack of this intro and throughout Raimi's trilogy will always be number one. The best part, however, is when the music really kicks in during the "Marvel" logo. Gives you chills every time.

I'm very devastated to hear that our beloved legendary hero Stan Lee has passed away this morning at 95, it hurts so much that he was one of the co-creators & publisher for the comics of Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Black Panther, & even the X-Men which these are well known for decades, also we all grew up watching his cameo appearances of Marvel films including the MCU, but not only that but he gave us life, joy, & happiness, thanks Stan for giving us these spectacular heroes who defined what it means to be a hero also spreading your wonderful creativity into the world & rest in peace, we'll always remember you through our hearts plus you meant the whole universe alot to us, Excelsior! It didn't just have Tobey Maguire. It also had James Franco, Kirsten Dunst, and most importantly, Willem Dafoe. Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin is probably my favorite Marvel villain ever on screen.
Holy shit the nostalgia! I love this film! By far the best spiderman movie, it will always hold a special place in my heart. When I was a kid I always used to cry so much when Ben dies
I was born in 2000, this film came out a year later. I saw this movie when I was five, and let me tell you, THIS was the movie that got me into film, that made me feel important. Whenever I would feel down, I would pop in this movie to let my worries go away. This one, Spiderman 2, and even 3 WERE my childhood. I've never liked TASM movies at all because they never came close to the perfect blend of dark and light tones the original films have. I always wanted Spiderman 4, but I know I won't get it. Here's to hoping that Marvel continues their success with Homecoming, because I love Tom Holland as Spiderman just as much as Tobey Maguire. Thank you Sam Raimi for shaping my childhood, and changing my life.

The whole intro is awesome, but specifically, from 0:00 to 0:55, from the moment the music begins to the title reveal, still gives me chills and childhood memories :) That minute is easily the most epic main titles scene ever.
What an amazing opening theme this is. The way those congas come in with the flipbook graphics is pure fucking hype and adrenaline. It almost makes you feel like YOU are Spiderman. Still get chills from it after 20 years.

Tobey Maguire was real good in my opinion growing up in early 2000s i miss the original Marvel intro for spiderman series of this trilogy just like how i remember superman with Christopher Reeve or Tom Welling or say the Hulk from 2003. But i don't care for any of this new marvel creatures or any new figures..not the same no more especially now without Stan Lee. i read a report on why Tobey didn't want to continue his acting career as a young kid again over & over again as Spiderman, he stated that he was already a grown married man that had kids already & couldn't be away from his family like that & that thew new spider-man movie the directors told him about the script saying that he would have to start over as like a high-schooler & he didn't like that as his role as Peter Parker again he felt it just wasn't for him no more at the age he was at the time they asked him i kinda wish he would've kept going & that they would've made it a better different script rather than giving him a square one role where he's back in high school again like he was in Spider-man 1. It's like Jurassic Park you have the original actors that survived without being chomped on like Sam Neill & Jeff Goldblum & Ellie Satler..i've read numurous reports & trivia's on all the movies over & over until i got a clear understanding of each movie & each character in the movie..Sam Neill only appeared in Jurassic Park 1 & 3, jeff & Sir John Hammond appeared in The Lost World the 2nd of JP series. Then John Hammond dies of old age & In-gen reverses John Hammond's role as executive chief due to many lawsuits & not wanting to shut the company down permanently & the writer & directors felt & thought that Sam Neills story plot was finished that he would not be needed for Jurassic park the lost world where you have Jeff Goldblum aka Ian Malcolm as the main character of the movie which was okay but him & Sam (Alan-Grant) could've made it a nice thrilling movie still if they co-starred in that movie together because Alan Grant was the one most experienced person of dinos especially Raptors. So they pushed alan grants role away & excluded him out of the story for that movie & then he supposedly returned for a good decent role for Jurassic 3 where he is still a dino-archaeologist supposedly maybe still excavating that dig site in Montana like he was doing with Billy that was there with a young lady teaching her how to brush out the dirt to uncover the skeleton fossilized bone of the pterodactyl. In Conclusion as the Jurassic Park Franchise has continued on from jurassic park 3 to jurassic world then JW Fallen Kingdom they have asked Sam Neill aka Alan Grant to be in the movie again & again to ask him to return to the franchise, but sam neills only response was that he felt that he wouldn't be a good fit for the movie or story since it has changed so much & you have all new characters now it would be such a mess to try to fit his story in with there's & try to piece all together to fit right in the whole story of the movie take it that would be a long movie too. But i did also read that Ellie Satler would maybe return for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom (2) but that's pretty odd knowing that in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, Mills said that Ellie had died in a car accident that was John Lockwoods daughter but now you have her one daughter that has survived' Isabella Sermon aka "Maisie Lockwood" which in my opinion she would make a great archaeologist if she was to pursue that kind of role in the next upcoming movie for next year to follow her mother's footsteps where Ellie enjoyed digging up fossilized dinosaurs as much as her colleague close friend Alan Grant also enjoyed doing so too. However in jurassic 3 maisie looks to be maybe a few months old had just been born where Ellie's oldest child would be Charlie where he called Alan grant the "Dinosaur Man" he was about 3-4 years old that time but who knows if he'll even return for a role or not because i have found no listing or indication that a charlie the son of ellie would have a role in the next movie. So that's my whole train of thought id like to put out there tell me please what you think of Spider-Man this series with Tobey Maguire or of Jurassic Park.

For me personally this is my favourite Marvel movie of all time. It has everything you would want a great hero, villain and a relationship you want to see work out by the end. If ever I need to be cheered up this film is usually what I turned to, just a simple story of a hero fighting for good. I also feel that unlike the MCU they were not afraid to have emotional moments without jokes constantly.

I was born in 2000, this film came out a year later. I saw this movie when I was five, and let me tell you, THIS was the movie that got me into film, that made me feel important. Whenever I would feel down, I would pop in this movie to let my worries go away. This one, Spiderman 2, and even 3 WERE my childhood. I've never liked TASM movies at all because they never came close to the perfect blend of dark and light tones the original films have. I always wanted Spiderman 4, but I know I won't get it. Here's to hoping that Marvel continues their success with Homecoming, because I love Tom Holland as Spiderman just as much as Tobey Maguire. Thank you Sam Raimi for shaping my childhood, and changing my life.

What an amazing opening theme this is. The way those congas come in with the flipbook graphics is pure fucking hype and adrenaline. It almost makes you feel like YOU are Spiderman. Still get chills from it after 20 years.

Tobey Maguire was real good in my opinion growing up in early 2000s i miss the original Marvel intro for spiderman series of this trilogy just like how i remember superman with Christopher Reeve or Tom Welling or say the Hulk from 2003. But i don't care for any of this new marvel creatures or any new figures..not the same no more especially now without Stan Lee. i read a report on why Tobey didn't want to continue his acting career as a young kid again over & over again as Spiderman, he stated that he was already a grown married man that had kids already & couldn't be away from his family like that & that thew new spider-man movie the directors told him about the script saying that he would have to start over as like a high-schooler & he didn't like that as his role as Peter Parker again he felt it just wasn't for him no more at the age he was at the time they asked him i kinda wish he would've kept going & that they would've made it a better different script rather than giving him a square one role where he's back in high school again like he was in Spider-man 1. It's like Jurassic Park you have the original actors that survived without being chomped on like Sam Neill & Jeff Goldblum & Ellie Satler..i've read numurous reports & trivia's on all the movies over & over until i got a clear understanding of each movie & each character in the movie..Sam Neill only appeared in Jurassic Park 1 & 3, jeff & Sir John Hammond appeared in The Lost World the 2nd of JP series. Then John Hammond dies of old age & In-gen reverses John Hammond's role as executive chief due to many lawsuits & not wanting to shut the company down permanently & the writer & directors felt & thought that Sam Neills story plot was finished that he would not be needed for Jurassic park the lost world where you have Jeff Goldblum aka Ian Malcolm as the main character of the movie which was okay but him & Sam (Alan-Grant) could've made it a nice thrilling movie still if they co-starred in that movie together because Alan Grant was the one most experienced person of dinos especially Raptors. So they pushed alan grants role away & excluded him out of the story for that movie & then he supposedly returned for a good decent role for Jurassic 3 where he is still a dino-archaeologist supposedly maybe still excavating that dig site in Montana like he was doing with Billy that was there with a young lady teaching her how to brush out the dirt to uncover the skeleton fossilized bone of the pterodactyl. In Conclusion as the Jurassic Park Franchise has continued on from jurassic park 3 to jurassic world then JW Fallen Kingdom they have asked Sam Neill aka Alan Grant to be in the movie again & again to ask him to return to the franchise, but sam neills only response was that he felt that he wouldn't be a good fit for the movie or story since it has changed so much & you have all new characters now it would be such a mess to try to fit his story in with there's & try to piece all together to fit right in the whole story of the movie take it that would be a long movie too. But i did also read that Ellie Satler would maybe return for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom (2) but that's pretty odd knowing that in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, Mills said that Ellie had died in a car accident that was John Lockwoods daughter but now you have her one daughter that has survived' Isabella Sermon aka "Maisie Lockwood" which in my opinion she would make a great archaeologist if she was to pursue that kind of role in the next upcoming movie for next year to follow her mother's footsteps where Ellie enjoyed digging up fossilized dinosaurs as much as her colleague close friend Alan Grant also enjoyed doing so too. However in jurassic 3 maisie looks to be maybe a few months old had just been born where Ellie's oldest child would be Charlie where he called Alan grant the "Dinosaur Man" he was about 3-4 years old that time but who knows if he'll even return for a role or not because i have found no listing or indication that a charlie the son of ellie would have a role in the next movie. So that's my whole train of thought id like to put out there tell me please what you think of Spider-Man this series with Tobey Maguire or of Jurassic Park.
If Spiderman 4 comes out then the perfect time would be 2020.

For me personally this is my favourite Marvel movie of all time. It has everything you would want a great hero, villain and a relationship you want to see work out by the end. If ever I need to be cheered up this film is usually what I turned to, just a simple story of a hero fighting for good. I also feel that unlike the MCU they were not afraid to have emotional moments without jokes constantly.
