i swear the old apex used to have better lighting system . yes i do have my lighting to be low and stuff to make sure my fps never drop but i am almost sure they did something that changed the lighting system .
Possibly when they reworked the muzzle flash. I personally was dead against that change because it made automatic weapons without sights way stronger (the flash was a natural nerf to those weapons), allowing everyone to beam from 100 yards with an r99 and precipitating the years of weapon reworking and balancing we've since had.

This does genuinely make me nostalgic for old Apex. The point it hit on release where it just felt like a normal BR where caution and tactics mattered but it had just that little bit of extra movement fun was where it was at its peak. The movement skill level, awareness of recoil control, controller aim assist, removal of things like muzzle flash, addition of armour off drop and all these other changes that made it less and less like a conventional BR mean that, ultimately, it doesn't really feel like a BR anymore, or at least feel fun as one. I haven't played BR mode since mix tape dropped. Everything about the game now makes it feel like a deathmatch so that's how I play it.

Counterpoint - they wouldn't *have* to add armor off drop if the loot wasn't so fucking shit the entire time this game has existed. It's still absolutely possible to loot an entire big POI and find zero _blue_ armors, and then have to fight a squad in purples.

This was at the time where people called Apex Legends the new Fortnite, as soon as people moved on from Fortnite to Apex Legends. For people that moved on from Fortnite to Apex Legends, some people didn’t know that Apex Legends was hugely inspired from Titanfall 2. For some people that didn’t know that Apex Legends was inspired from Titanfall 2, some people randomly thought that game was Titanfall 3. Really wish the world received the real Titanfall 3, if EA didn’t cause any bs, but that doesn’t matter anymore, because people are playing Titanfall 2 online via Northstar Viper client mod to play online, (which it’s the same as regular online at the time,) because people want to know what will come to future seasons of Apex Legends, as we want more things from Titanfall 2 to come to Apex Legends just to make the game better and more enjoyable again with better vibes than before.
S4 player here. This game has become unplayable on Xbox. As if playing at 30-40fps/250 ping isn't bad enough, I'm getting stuck to the crafter every 3rd time i use it, and the MM is such absolute trash. I just played 10 matches that were already painful due to Respawn's dumpster-fire-servers, and NOT ONE of my level 50-200 teammates did more than 150 damage. It's disgusting. I shouldn't have to 1v3 every fight against 2nd prestige 10,000 kill last season, 20 bomb, 4K triple-masters triple-stacks in order to stand a chance. You literaly COULD NOT make a more broken MM system. I'm at a point where I'm ready to unistall this nonsense garbage
Remember when ranked was playable? When your teamates didn't drop out before u can revive them, now they take the match penalty and just leave the team if they die because they don't get their 2x because u stole it from their box.... What else? Discord 3 stacks weren't a thing...... U could ACTUALLY solo que and have fun...... Now all the weak players team up nightly on ranked making them easy 3 v 1 you... Because your alone because your loba teamate had her brain blown out while looting for 2 hours in her ULT. ..... What else? Honestly i have HUNDREDS of reasons
Everyone I know who was playing Fortnite or Call of Duty BR was shitting on Apex when it first came out. The most common critique I heard was "Bro the characters have super powers, that game is trash"...Fast forward 5 years they all play Apex and Fortnite and COD are long dead to them. I remember the first time I played Apex like a week after launch I could just FEEL this game was going to take off. It was so different to anything else in the BR genre and super fun. Especially as everyone else in the lobby was likely as bad as you were lol.
g7 and wingman were freaking demon guns back then, no wonder folks were getting 20 bombs like hell. LMAOOO i played season 0 and was like garbage day 1 and I played tons of fps games. Took me maybe 2 weeks to get good. My skill now in apex is way different LOOL

I remember coming into this and all I played was titanfall so i had a large advantage on movement. It was so great full slide boosting around corners and then them missing every shot cause they werent used to it.
