      Lack of buoyancy in gravity, and the skills needed are totally different. It takes 15 years to become an astronaut on average through training, its only takes 3 months for a Sat diver

    • @voiic333

      @@EzraMerrwhat Hahaha you need to become a commercial diver first thats atleast 4-6 months then it's recommended to have atleast 10 years air diving experience before going into sat lol don't talk about shite you have no clue about

    Hi Tony one question who can maybe sound stupid but how do yoy manage to close the riser clamp once it is in position do you just use hand power to old it closed and put a screw in it ?
    Im not new in the industry but underwater i dont see a lot of option to close it and old it tight :-)

      PowerLifter666, A riggers comealong with C plate was used initially to pull the lower clamp section up to meet the upper section to get the 1st bolt in then pretty much what Berkcam said.

    Very well done, I liked the presentation of the maneuvers with the "spool". Other passages reminded me of the Stena Constructor (where we worked together) and Toisa Sentinel (the fastest boat in Campos Basin and went under any burner).
    Here in Brazil you have many friends and admirers, not only professionally but personally and I am proud to be your friend.

    Do places like Thailand have preferences over which international certification you have when you go to apply for work? HSE (U.K) vs DCBC (Canadian) vs ADAS (Australian)?

    • @soprano4466
      @soprano4466 9 лет назад

      Depends on the company your working for. Personally i am ADAS, but I think with most asian companies as long as your qualification is IMCA recognised then it is acceptable. For me, some places in Europe and the States require a conversion ticket.

    • @DarthKraytofKansas
      @DarthKraytofKansas 9 лет назад

      Tony Henson Interesting. Do you enjoy the work in Australia (I assume that's where you're still working?). I've heard the conditions are pretty amazing to work in over there. A lot of places in the U.S have pretty low visibility compared to what I'm seeing in these videos from Thailand.

    • @soprano4466
      @soprano4466 9 лет назад +1

      Darth Krayt Working in Australia is ok, The water is often warm but The Onshore pay is not very good, Only Offshore pay is good as it is controlled by a Union. Very Hard to get into though (i have found) However You hardly ever get the 20+ metre vis that you see in this Thailand video. Pretty hard to beat that kind of visibility i think.

    • @EzraMerr
      @EzraMerr Год назад

      IMCA ,but HSE is always preferred internationally because the employers have a concept that British Standards are deemed the best in the world especially in Arabic countries that were former colonies or commonwealth decree

      Work , save around £5,000-12,000 over the course of 3 years, then try to get a full 3 certification training course finished or if you do t have enough start with air supply diver £3,000-4,000, take some contracts , save more money then get your full certified courses done and then finally start making the big money. “A” for altitude
      -29.1 M
      Due to clarity with sunlight penetration it is usually a good depth indicator between 50 to 100 feet
      Deeper gets darker as sunlight diminishes
