Good job getting out of Cebu city and checking out the other islands. This is exactly what I will be doing when i get to Cebu. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!!
There is a lot to see here Don and each area has its unique personality. I became too comfortable in the city so good to get out a bit. Thanks for watching and commenting Don.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 hopefully you can help me sharing my channel too Sir and wait till I can create a content again after my medication of bells palsy
Thanks again for sharing Rod! Nice to see familiar places and roads getting better for our next rides! Especially nice to see my sister-in-laws store along the street in Poro town! and I bet I could see her too there...Greetings to everyone we love and miss so much! Take care! God bless!
Just one question for the evening if you don't mind answering. . If I bought a used motorcycle in the Philippines would I need the full government issued title in order to go island hopping, or whatever paperwork from the dealer be sufficient. . Thanks
I am not sure of the answer but I think the dealer issued paperwork is sufficient as it often takes quite some time for the actual title to be issued. I am not the expert though. You might ask one of the Mike at My Philippine Journey.
The roads got a little rough in places, especially going up the narrow rocky mountain road but it was a lot of fun. Thanks for coming along and commenting.
Nice ride Sir. Pretty much we have this view in every islands. I grew up in Panay. We never pay attention to it until you guys from the West appreciate it.😁
Yes, thanks. They started a new fast ferry from the west side of the island the day I left also and it comes back to the small pier next to the Yacht Club on Mactan Island near the bridge from Cebu City.
Life cannot be any sweeter on Sweet Potato Island (camote) . This seems like an ideal location to leased a beachfront lot and setup one of those Kyoob modular homes featured in your previous vlog. Safe travels....
I’d love to know if there’s flooding during typhoons and the elevation of various places. It looks kind of flat, which is scary, but in poro you were climbing a hill away from the ocean which is good. I’d want to be 30+ feet above the ocean.
I am told it has "developed" enormously in the last 3 years and the infra- structure is trying to catch up. I think the population and tourism is going to continue to increase on these smaller islands for better or worse. Thanks for watching and commenting John.
good video...my gal went there last year for a cousin's wedding stayed at Santiago resort near the warf....you can catch the roo roo at danao city also which is slower but cheaper...the girls uncle is the owner of both hotels so we we're able to get a discount for 10 people at 1000 p per room 3 nights for 4 rooms....bring cash there isn't any cash machines..mostley habal habal bikes getting around....also visit the under ground caves with swimming.....great little tour....and not expensive like the other trendy tourist places....the people are very friendly....thanks rod.....ps watch your step walking down to beach it gets slippery..lol
Interesting. We visited one cave and waterfall. Fun and inexpensive time mostly. I rented a scooter for 400 P/day. Worked out well. Thanks for your input and for commenting Randall.
Rod! Camotes Islands consists those 4 Islands which called several names depending whom you ask but the names are the smallest up there is Tulang island or islet. Then this San Fransisco island is called Pacijan Island by it`s name. The town it`s called shortly in everyday speaks San Fran. Poro Island...is just Poro as the town also ( for us Finns it`s in our language as reindeer :) ) I don`t know another name but as always these Proud to be Porohanon citizens ( the most friendly people in whole Philippines! ) they might have some short "nickname" for it...maybe Po? hehe. Then is that Pilar which is the name of the town in Ponson Island where is a ferry from Tudela town and also from Ormoc Leyte.
Yes, lots of people renting motorbikes and scooters from 300-500 pesos/day. I paid 400 for a new Honda 125 scooter, automatic. Thanks for watching and commenting Jammy.
I hope to travel a bit including trips to the USA but am "comfortable" in this culture. I have PhilHealth and Medicare. Medicare facilities on Guam are the closest is my understanding. Thanks for watching and commenting Mitch.
