The avalon has a eq, hp, compressor, and preamp if the dsp usage is low its definitely a good input or live plugin

Is it a condenser Mic? Are you turning on phantom power?

@@PLAINFACEISDEAD Condensor mics run on 48 volts. So, you need to push the buttin on the Apollo that says 48V. It should work.
